| Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain came out swinging Friday against a Wednesday New York Times op-ed that claims Republicans strategically use black politicians to “undermine black interests.” The op-ed specifically dismisses South Carolina Republican Rep. Tim Scott, who will soon join the Senate, as one of the Republicans’ “cynical tokens.” Cain declared the New York Times a “racist newspaper” for running the column, which was penned by University of Pennsylvania political science professor Adolph Reed Jr. and titled “The Puzzle of Black Republicans.”

The Democratic Party discourse on race is 2-faced and racist. In the same sentence they can claim the GOP is racist, and then tell a person how to vote based on their race. Cain is right to take offense. I take offense, and I have a thick hide. It hurts me deep in my soul how racist the Democratic Party is.

Let´s see. Colin Powell was Bush´s token Secretary of State. Condolezza Rice was Bush´s token National Security Advisor and Secretary of State. #6....If this guy is Adolph Reed, Jr, wouldnt it stand to reason that his father was also named Adolph Reed, which means there´s little possibility it´s connected to anything but an unfortunate family name. I don´t know why they´d continue the family name, esp after WW2.
At any rate, Adolph Reed Jr here is breathtakingly ignorant, shallow as a puddle in the desert, sees life through a tunnel lens, and is apparently happy to share such traits with no worries of how he sounds.

The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
