As ObamaCare looms, Americans´
healthcare satisfaction slips

A new annual survey of Americans´ satisfaction with their healthcare finds the percentage who deem it good or excellent has slipped five points during the past election year, down to 67%. Now, according to the new Gallup Poll, the percentage who feel their healthcare is good has dipped from 43% to 40%, while those saying it´s excellent has dropped from 29% to 27%. The survey taken last month finds a familiar split personality among American adults.

Tis isn´t a very good indicator since the teeth of Obamacare hasn´t really sunk in yet. Then you have to seperate health care with people having their hours reduced so the company can avoid the higher costs. This could be more devastating to people than the lack of health coverage.

I go to a local clinic on a sliding scale,so I´m relatively happy with that considering what I would have to pay for even a catastrophic plan.

I have to count on God to keep me out of an operating room.

I could always dress up like an illegal and hit the emergency room.

People aren’t liking “cook book medicine” very well, and it will get much worse. They aren’t liking spending an hour or two answering questions that some government expert dreamed up before they are given something for a sore throat, or that the physician, or more likely, a “P.A” looks at their computer screen rather than listening to their heart. They aren’t appreciating that the hospital is more interested in meeting “core measures” than in answering the call light because their IV Pump is bleating, or they have to get up to the bathroom.
But take heart. In a few years, today will look like the “good old days”.

I still can´t believe the apathy and/or the acquiescence of the majority of Americans to the passing of, and now the activation of ObamaCare. Giving up rights and control like lambs to a liberal utopian slaughter. When do we apply to the European Union?

The weak underbelly of America is that a hellbent, motivated and organized minority can push the rest of around. And we all grouse a bit, but gradually knuckle under to the new Leftist rules. An American tragedy. Alas, we´ve, as a nation, become too fat and stupid to save ourselves, Mr. Hayek.

It´s true that O-care hasn´t yet sunk its teeth all the way into our jugulars. However, many existing insurance companies have already accommodated themselves to it in their "Changes for 2013" -- hence the beginning of the drop in satisfaction, from those who read the changes. It will get much, much worse as people discover what it is going to do to THEM personally.

The takers in our society already had free health care (including abortions and birth control.) Nothing changes, except that government now has expanded its control over the citizens...

My 73 year old cousin was just told she only needs to get a mammogram for two more years, and then she will not need them anymore. She asked if the incidence of cancer is less after age 73; well, no, actually the incidence of breast cancer is higher for 75+ women. But 0bamacare does not pay for a woman over 75 to have a mammogram.

Across the country, from small towns to inner cities, too many of our fellow citizens feel like the American Dream is out of reach. More than ten million Americans are unemployed. Last month, roughly 350,000 Americans—a little more than the population of Tampa, Florida—stopped looking for work.

What a difference a few months makes in our president. When a nobody named Edward Snowden wrapped himself in righteous robes last year to begin betraying his country by disclosing U.S. security operations while visiting its two worst strategic opponents, Barack Obama dismissed him as a mere hacker unworthy of presidential comment.[Snip] But today, the 44th president felt compelled to deliver a 5,500 word response to that hired hacker who´s so devoted to open democracy he´s taken shelter in Russia under the wily wing of a former intelligence officer systematically closing down that nascent democracy.

President Obama knows he´s in trouble with the American people. Yes, his approval has slipped further since Christmas, down to 40%, worse than GW Bush´s at the same point. But you can tell Obama knows it anyway because he´s fallen back on his path of preferred political action. He´s giving speeches. Many speeches. Campaign speeches. Roll-up-the-sleeves speeches. Point-his-finger speeches. Call-on-others-to-do-something speeches. Obama’s never met anything he couldn’t throw a speech at. It´s what he does. And beats working.

Hello. I’m Thad Cochran, United States Senator for Mississippi. The beginning of the New Year is a time when many Americans decide to make positive changes in their lives. It can be a time we decide to adopt healthier lifestyles or take a fresh look at the family budget. Unfortunately, as this year begins many people are worried about how the so-called Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, is affecting both their health and personal finances. Republicans in the Senate think we should repeal or defund the program.

President Obama, who´s been on vacation since earlier last year, is finally back in the White House today, as is Joe Biden, who´s also been idling on a warm island. Michelle Obama opted to fly home separately this year, taking extra sunny days in Hawaii with friends celebrating her 50th birthday. Not that the president cares, but he confronts a chilly public this month. Faced with a stubbornly sluggish job market and soaring costs for ObamaCare´s health insurance, including fully 18 new taxes, mandates and penalties, a whopping majority of Americans sees their country going down the wrong track.

The means the world’s poorest 3,550,000,000 (3.55 billion) people must live on what the richest 85 possess.
