To me the most breathtakingly stupid aspect of this (aside from her husband oddly going along with it) is that she revealed her identity to people and expected them to keep it a secret; given what she was doing, and the lowered discretion barriers you would already have to have to be on either side of the transaction, this is more astonishing than what she was actually doing.

The comments after the article baffle me. Did they read the article? She says she believes she did something wrong, "a huge mistake", and she is seeking counseling for it. According to the Smoking gun article this was based on, her husband was dead set against what she was doing, #17. I´m guessing he felt that since she didn´t hide it from him and sought his approval (in vain) that he still had a shot at saving their marriage.

Anyone who believes that she revealed her true identity and Olympic history to her customers because she thought that they would keep it under their hat is naive.
You can bet that the real reason she would reveal her true identity and sports history was for advertising purposes.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs.
