Blame Congress, not Clinton, during
State Department Benghazi hearing

Human Events, by Hope Hodge

Original Article

Posted By:draggingtree, 12/20/2012 12:06:08 PM

An early morning hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with two deputy Secretaries of State emphasized the need for material resources to boost security and downplayed errors made by high-ranking officials in the State Department in the course of the Benghazi attacks in September. Sen. John Kerry appeared to be trying on the role of Secretary of State in advance of his rumored nomination when he discussed the need to contribute more funds to U.S. foreign relations efforts.

Sorry Kerry - You´re misstating the facts as usual. Lack of money for diplomatic security was not the problem as stated by the lady State Department official responsible for security. Downsize the U.S. Embassy in London to half its size for extra diplomatic security cash.

As #1 says...Kerry should go back and read the statements of Charlene Lamb. $$ were not the criteria. DumRats and their obsession with spending once again!!! Geesh

Congress is not to blame for the Libyan tragedy. Our government, who wouldn´t let sleeping dictators ( Ghadaffi and Mubarak) lie and supported their overthrow, is to blame.

People who don´t know anything about world affairs shouldn´t dabble in them. Our government dabbled and we shall pay for decades to come.

Money is always the excuse for political screw ups. `If we only had more `resources`, i.e. $$$$$$, this would not have happened. Same old tired political excuse. Kerry, like Shrillary, is so schooled in the art of lying, he`ll fit right in at State. Instead of listening to Clinton`s shrill deadpan voice, we`ll be subjected to Kerry`s upper crust snobbish New England drawl.

We`re in a country that just overthrew its dictator by dragging him in the streets and sodomizing him and the State Dept/WH never thought to beef up security. Obama never has a problem finding money to throw at his union buddies but foreign security in a hotbed outpost is forgotten.

A warm bucket of spit comes to mind when thinking of the fools who inhabit the halls of DC.

You think she´s going to sober up and face the music in a congressional committee? I. Don´t. Think. So.

She will string this out to resignation day and then ride off into the sunset as a private citizen who will never be compelled to testify. Ever.

I once worked for a complete idiot at an organization, and we went to a national convention to present our reasearch findings. We we scheduled at 8 AM, and I was well prepared. My idiot boss, at 7 AM, used sign language of sorts to tell me that he had laryngitis, and that I had to do the full presentation. (He was not such a complete idiot that he didn´t know he was unprepared.)
I thought of that event, which happened back in 19777, when I read about Hillary.
Her excuse will be more complex, but she will have one.

London, England - A new wealth tax is being proposed by the leftist wing (The Liberal Democrats) of our coalition government that will come with unprecedented powers to enter our homes and root through our personal possessions to value rings, necklaces, paintings and furniture, anything that might raise more taxes. If we refuse to be inspected or get our own valuations wrong, we would be facing fines, maybe even a jail sentence. This brainchild was conceived by the Lib Dems for their next election manifesto and is part of a series of measures planned to tax the better off.

As most real conservatives know, Obama, by his own admissions, appointments, associates, and actions, is a hard-core, 21st century, Marxist revolutionary. This means that while he has no real plan for what his utopian, pie-in-the-sky collectivist state would look like, or how it would survive as an economic entity, he is dedicated to destroying our existing free, constitutional, capitalist republic to start the process. It also means that like all Marxists, archaic and modern, his primary enemy is what Marx called the bourgeoisie – the Middle Class. As those who went to school while actual history

And they waited—and they waited. (Snip) A full sixty seconds would expire before that man would take the one remaining step to the lectern, and begin speaking. A week from now, a dramatic new federal policy is set to go into effect that threatens U.S. national security, thousands of jobs and more. In a bit of irony, President Obama stood Tuesday with first responders who could lose their jobs if the policy goes into effect. Most Americans are just hearing about this Washington creation for the first time: the sequester. What they might not realize from Mr. Obama´s statements is that it is a product of the president´s own failed leadership.

Leaving aside for the moment the likelihood that parties and party politics in America will become moot within the next few years (owing to the emergence of a single party or the country’s dissolution into civil war), conservatives and libertarians are finding themselves at an unpleasant crossroads. While some observers gave up on the leadership of the Republican Party long ago, it is now becoming apparent to rank-and-file Republicans that the GOP leadership and its prominent operatives are wholly complicit in the fundamental transformation of America.

The visit follows a modest radio ad campaign launched last week – which then spawned nationwide media attention – aimed at promoting the Lone Star State´s lower taxes and friendlier business climate. snip

Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta reportedly believes the military should receive a pay cut in order to respond to the budget cuts facing the Pentagon — a position that might strengthen the Republican push to reverse President Obama’s executive order raising the salary of Vice President Joe Biden and other federal officials. “Panetta will recommend to Congress that military salaries be limited to a one percent increase in 2014,” CNN reports, explaining that Panetta is “effectively decreasing troop salaries next year . . . The decision comes as the secretary is stepping up the rhetoric about dire cuts at the Pentagon if sequestration goes into effect.”

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) plans to introduce (or has already introduced) gun-control legislation in the 113th Congress, ostensibly to protect the lives of children, and to curb mass murders, like the one that occurred in Newtown, CT. At the same time, Feinstein is very pro-choice and supports taxpayer funding for abortions. She opposes bans on partial-birth abortion. She has spoken about the constitutional right to an abortion and, in 2003, on the Senate floor, spoke in support of Roe v Wade. She, in 2005, opposed the Unborn Victims of Violence Act. snip

Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race.
