It´s about time the ball was squarely back in the Dems court, WITH the plan they had been advocating just a couple years ago.

Now if the Repubs would all take calcium shots over the holidays and start de-funding instead of just not giving the automatic increase to budgets we might make it a few months past the Mayan end of the world.

So now the Speaker doing his job is defying the WH? Just send the Senate the best you can get, its worked that way for over 200 years, until the liars Reid snd Obama came on the stage.

The Senate merely has to advise and consent, but it doesn´t say APPROVE.

The heck with the WH being upset. Who cares?

And the Senate Democrats? They´ve been the majority for 6 years, and have failed to propose a budget for 4.

Reid will schedule an immediate vote which will be 53-47 against and send it back to the House, followed by a scathing rebuke by Obama declaring the GOP is not serious about getting the deficit under control.

The endgame has started. It will al hinge on whether Boehner et al can manage to keep this bill in the news cycle. Look for it to not even make page one in the MSM. The headlines will read something like "Republicans in the House pass symbolic tax bill". Also look for the words unprecedented, lame duck or "partisan vote" to appear as well.

The MSM´s job will be to make it look like this bill is somehow a huge boon to millionaires, billionaires, racists, mysogynists and releigious zealots.

Women, Children and minorities to be hurt the most.

This has nothing to do with the ´Plan B´ and more to do with crybaby keeping his job as Speaker. Me thinks the behind the scenes pressure is starting to take hold.

Keep up the pressure folks. I still think we need a new Speaker come January.

Good, it is a better approach. Keep passing simple, sensible, bills and make the Senate and Obama take them or reject them.

And point out over and over that you passed the bills and the Democrats killed them.

IMO that is really the only power Boehner has.

Boehner lost when he agreed that taxes needed raising. He thinks giving the president this concession will show him a serious negotiator, he does not understand HE CAVED ON PRINCIPLE!

I´m hopping mad at Boehner and ready to bolt the socialist lite Rebublican party but i am glad the Boehner is willing to top spin lob it back into Obambi´s court and see what happens.

I hope Boehner has enough sense to introduce the bill with a sunset clause in it. Make it dependent on the so called spending cuts the dems say they are willing to do.

Rush said today that obama was strutting about at the news conference popping buttons, suspenders.

He had Boehner peg as most of us did. That he would cave.

Maybe just maybe Boehner doesn´t like being made a fool of?

and run for Congress.
Then get elected Speaker of the House.
Then try and negotiate with this dirtbag and his administration.

Boehner´s job might be a little easier if he had some support instead of the constant complaining

Excellent play on several different levels: First, it exposes that Obama is lying about taxing only millionares and billionares. Second, it has zero chance to become law. Third, it is proactive. I strongly support this move. Very good job.

For the Highway arm chair fighters go read the proposal before shooting from the lip.
The bill states the current Bush rates must be made permanent for all earning under 1 million a year and leave capital gains et. alone. The above 1 million would raise less than 2% of actual earned wages.
Permanent fixed to not exceed the Bush rates is the tipping point and Obama doesn´t get to raise the debt ceiling all by his little self.

I am hugely disappointed in Fox for this coverage. I listened to Congressman Ted Poe of TX this afternoon, and the Plan B makes makes the all the Bush tax rates permanent except the top rate. With all the talk of Boehner caving, couldn´t someone at least mention that he´s making all the rest of the rates permanent. It also preserves the gift treatment and the Bush estate tax provisions. I hate the concept of sacrificing any group to the tax wolves, but he should get some credit for what he is proposing.

Hey#21, anybody with half a brain can do a better job of negotiating with Obama. The secret is that you have to be willing to walk away. Beohner has spent his entire time negotiating with himself. Of course he is the reason we are even talking about this now since he let Obama off the hook earlier so why should we expect him to solve this

Reid won´t even bring it up in the Senate; therefore, when every taxpayer gets hit with a whopping tax increase and every senior relying on dividends to supplement their SS gets hit with a whopping dividend tax, and Death Bill taxes hit, thank the demonrats. They will have put party idiotcy above country. They will own it.
