Where Have You Been on
Gun Violence? Today’s
Q for O – 12/19/12

TAPPER: It seems to a lot of observers that you made the political calculation in 2008, in your first term and in 2012 not to talk about gun violence. You had your position on renewing the ban on semiautomatic rifles that then Senator Biden put into place, but you didn’t do much about it. This is not the first issue — the first incident of horrific gun violence of your four years. Where have you been? PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well, here’s where I’ve been, Jake. I’ve been president of the United States, dealing with the worst economic crisis

Jake Tapper and Ed Henry are the only two White House Reporters who are actually reporting the news and asking O the tough questions.

My prediction is that Jake Tapper will be joining Fox News when his current contract with ABC comes to a merciful end. Just remember that Brit Hume went from ABC to Fox!

Tapper should have had the Sunday gig that Georgie Snafalopagus got. I think he´ll be ready when Roger Ailes makes that phone call.

While I believe that we are pretty far gone in so many areas of that "legislating" our way back to being moral and responsible is impossible, and "controling" guns is not the answer...

I wonder what Obama´s cronies in Chicago think about him finally "taking action" after the slaughter of middle class white kids...gong to meet with parents, attending memorial services etc.

He has not been to Chicago even ONCE to meet with his own neighbors, walk with Fr. Pflager through the streets or attended an innocent child´s funeral.

They thought they had one of "THEIR OWN"...on THEIR side. They were played for suckers. I wonder if they know it?

A testy Barry just admitted that he can´t multitask .
And then there´s this paranoid and out of touch statement ,
as he´s about to embark on
his yearly multimillion dollar ,
three week Hawaiian extravaganza.

" I don’t think I’ve been on vacation ".

I guess it depends on the meaning of vacation.
A 3 hour schedule is a long day for Lay-Z.
Vanity Fair had a lengthy puff piece on Barry this past October.
He plays a lot more basketball than the public knows.
A lot more.
" The first hint came when a valet passed through bearing, as if they were sacred objects,
a pair of slick red-white-and-blue Under Armour high-tops
with the president’s number (44) on the side. "
" Basketball hadn’t appeared on the president’s official schedule,
and so we traveled the streets of Washington unofficially,
almost normally."
Then there´s this.
Damian Lewis, the star of Homeland on Showtime recently told an interviewer about a conversation he had with Obama about the show.
Lewis : "When do you watch it?
Aren´t you supposed to be running the free world?"
Barack: "Well, on Saturday afternoons,
Michelle she takes the two girls, they go play tennis.
I go into the Oval Office.
I pretend I´m gonna work and I switch on Homeland ".

"You know".... "you know"....

No, Zero, we DON´T know.
We don´t know anything about your involvement with Fast & Furious.
We don´t know anything about why four Americans were left to be slaughtered in Benghazi.
We don´t know why you think spending trillions of dollars is going to get us back to prosperity.
We don´t know anything about YOU, for that matter.

So no, Zero - we DON´T know.

Is it me? Or did anyone else notice the curt, dismissive nature of Obama´s response? There´s something in his body language. I can´t put my finger on it. But he looked at Tapper like he wanted to throw him the f-bomb.

He really has no regard for us. I think he looks down on people. He´s impressed with himself and derides those who question him. Can you imagine his inner circle? Talk about "yes-men."

When you are so busy saving the world there is just so much time in a day. Saving school children from shooters just didn´t come up that far on the priorities. There was the campaign, hob-nobbing with Hollywood, golf, and several vacations that just had to be done.

Gosh Jake, being President is tough, don´t you know that? And I´m tired now so I don´t need any more questions like that. Got it?

Obama was very quick to jump on the idea of disarming the American public, but what has he done to disarm the Libyans who did a mass killing on our embassy? Its more important for him to disarm us than the terrorists (or was it movie-watching protestors?).

Everybody deplores what the crazy man did at the Connecticut school, but remember thousands of black kids have been murdered in the big city ghettos, by all sorts of means, and weapons, since Obama took office, and we never hear from him on all that.

Banning just about all modern semi-automatic firearms, encompassing both rifles and handguns, that can possibly hold a clip or magazine containing more then 10 rounds, as many liberal Democrats want, is not going to stop criminals and crazy people from murdering people, and would end up eliminating much of the US firearms industry that could not survive on US Government contracts that Obama also wants to slash, resulting in the loss of thousands of well paid US jobs.

Taking away the rights of hundreds of millions of law abiding Americans because of the homicidal criminal actions of several mad men will never be accepted by most Americans, and is bound to knock a lot of Democrat and Republican politicians out of office who vote for such a ban just as happened in the past.

President Obama will not focus on gun control in his remarks at a Fort Hood memorial service, the White House said Tuesday. The president will head to Texas on Wednesday, where he´s scheduled to attend a memorial service at the military base where an Army truck driver shot and killed three soldiers before taking his own life last week. Another 16 people were wounded in the gunfire. CONCORD, N.H. — Republican Scott Brown said Monday he will kick off his next campaign for U.S. Senate in Portsmouth, the New Hampshire city he says played a special role in his childhood. The former Massachusetts senator will formally announce his bid for the seat held by Democrat Jeanne Shaheen at the Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on Thursday night. “I remember our house on Islington Street, strolling through Strawbery Banke with my grandfather, and catching a show at Prescott Park. Now, Portsmouth is going to be the start of the next chapter in my life,” he told supporters in an email.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen sure talks a lot about “outside” money. She raises campaign funds by claiming to protect the state from outside “special interests” who might help Scott Brown. Those poor donors probably have no idea how much money Shaheen raises from out-of-state special interests. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks campaign donations, Shaheen has raised 75 percent of her 2014 campaign cash from out of state. For her career, Shaheen’s top 10 metropolitan areas for campaign donations are, in order: Boston; New York City; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; Lowell, Mass; San Francisco; Manchester; Chicago; Portsmouth; Philadelphia.

Democrats are facing a senior problem that could get even worse this year. The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters.
