Kagan on the Second
New York Sun, by Editorial

Original Article

Posted By:Judy W., 12/19/2012 8:30:41 AM

There have been so many irresponsible statements by those seeking to exploit the tragedy at Newtown, Connecticut, that it’s hard to keep up with them, but for the combination of arrogance and inaccuracy one can’t beat the editorial the New York Times ran out this week under the headline “Personal Guns and the Second Amendment.” That’s the one in which the Times declared: “The text of the Second Amendment creates no right to private possession of guns, but Justice Antonin Scalia found one in legal history for himself and the other four conservatives.”

Just do a little research. Go look up The Federalist Papers and read what the men who wrote The Second Amendment had to say about it and what it means. The Second Amendment does not ´create a right´ to privately possess guns, it protects a right that all law abiding citizens have from the time they come of age.

#2, you can´t reason with LPs (Libtards/Progtards), you can´t compromise with LPs, you can´t trust LPs, you can´t even play nice with them. All you can do is eradicate them - because history is replete with the fate of societies that allowed them to flourish. They know so many things that just aren´t true, as Reagan described it, and they mean to control you ´for your own good´ one way or another, but no matter what they mean to control you even if they have to kill you.
I hope enough Americans wake up before the Republic is destroyed.

I can´t help think about that lone man standing in front of the Chinese tank at Tiananamen Square.

It is a reminder of why we must defend the second amendment, or we will be unable to defend ourselves against our government.

I´m getting sick of everyone missing the obvious. A woman did a very dumb thing, and she and others paid dearly for it.

Here´s my rule: If you have a mentally unstable child, don´t surround that child with weapons and don´t teach the child how to use the weapons.

Amid the Ukraine crisis last week, President Obama spoke several times by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to reports, the “conversation” soon devolved into accusations. Now U.S.- Russia relations are the worst they’ve been since the Cold War; not only are the two nations at odds on policy, but their leaders seem to harbor deep personal animosity toward each other. What else could you expect when one self-anointed Great Man faces off with another who thinks he is also Great? Those who suppose themselves Great Men are capable of doing great harm. That has been the case with President

I am writing this column from Cameroon during my sixth trip to Africa. (Snip) There is no limit to suffering human beings have been willing to inflict on others, no matter how innocent, no matter how young, and no matter how old. This fact must lead all reasonable human beings, that is, all human being who take evidence seriously, to draw only one possible conclusion: Human nature is not basically good. There is no more obvious example of widespread wishful thinking than the belief that people are basically good. Come here and see where millions of men, women and children were yanked

Glenn Beck is tired of politics. “I think politics is a game, and I think people watch politics as a game, like they watch the NFL,” he tells me, leaning back in his chair. He once thought Washington politicians “actually believed in something.” Now, he says, “I don’t think they do.” Beck hasn’t lost respect for all politicians, just most of them. On the right, he likes Utah’s Mike Lee, Texas’s Ted Cruz, and Kentucky’s Rand Paul. He respects anybody who goes to Washington and sticks to his principles — even the socialist senator Bernie Sanders. “I’m sure Bernie would disagree, but

Judge says prosecutors should

I’ve addressed the problem of prosecutorial misconduct here a few times before — both its prevalence, and the fact that misbehaving prosecutors are rarely sanctioned or disciplined. Recently (or perhaps the better word is finally), some judges have begun to speak out about the problem including, most notably, Alex Kozinski, the influential judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Late last year, South Carolina State Supreme Court Justice Donald Beatty joined Kozinski. At a state solicitors’ convention in Myrtle Beach, Beatty cautioned that prosecutors in the state have been “getting away with too much for too long.”

President Obama entered office promising to restore the sanctity of science. Instead, a fresh war against science, statistics, and reason is being waged on behalf of politically correct politics. After the Sandy Hook tragedy, the president attempted to convert national outrage into new gun-control legislation. Specifically, he focused on curtailing semi-automatic “assault” rifles. But there is no statistical evidence that such guns — semi-automatic rifles that have mostly cosmetic changes to appear similar to banned military-style fully automatic assault weapons — lead to increased gun-related crimes.(Snip) Late-term abortions used to be justified in part by an argument dating back to the

The Senate Thursday rejected a bill aimed at curbing military sexual assault by stripping military commanders of prosecutorial authority. The vote was 55-45, and fell short of the approval of 60 lawmakers needed to end debate on the legislation authored by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. Gillibrand’s bill would have given the power to prosecute sexual assault cases to independent military lawyers operating out of the alleged victim’s chain of command. Gillibrand authored the bill in response to testimony from sexual assault victims in the military, who said their cases were not taken seriously by commanders. Gillibrand said her bill would

Attkisson, who has been with CBS News for two decades, had grown frustrated with what she saw as the network´s liberal bias, an outsized influence by the network´s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, several sources said. She increasingly felt like her work was no longer supported and that it was a struggle to get her reporting on air.

You have probably seen all of the ridiculous speculating about the GOP nomination in 2016. This is still speculating, but my sincere hope is you don’t think it’s ridiculous too. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is laying the foundation for his presidential bid in concrete and steel. First, forget about Jeb Bush unless you want to hand Hillary eight years in the White House. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her leading Jeb in a general election 47 percent to 33. His name is Bush and to the general public the specifics of how smart he is doesn’t matter one iota.
