Bernie Goldberg To O’Reilly:
Both Liberals And Conservatives
Guilty For Politicizing CT Shooting

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 12/18/2012 10:05:18 AM

Bill O’Reilly brought on Bernard Goldberg tonight to take on the almost immediate politicization of last Friday’s tragic shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut. Both O’Reilly and Goldberg agreed that the liberal media was very quick to jumpstart the gun control debate, but Goldberg acknowledged there was a fair amount of politicization on the right from people who he said want assault weapons not because of the Second Amendment, but because of their paranoia over the government coming to take away their guns. (Snip) O’Reilly was amazed at how it “took minutes” for liberal pundits to direct

Comments:
Goldberg´s criticism of conservatives was outrageous. What Huckabee said about taking God out of schools and society was absolutely correct. And his criticism of Rush (although not mentioned by name) who said you cannnot have a culture, a society where over a million babies are aborted every year and not have a dwindling respect for the sanctity of life. Goldberg was absolutely wrong. I don´t call that politicizing, I call those comments statement of facts.

What SHOULD have been discussed on O´Reilly was this:

1. Why do liberals think we/they are entitled NOT to be harmed by evil? Are they special? If you think about it, this coincides with their "be nice to the terrorists and they won´t hurt us" beliefs. Or their belief that there is no such thing as evil.

2. Why do liberals and leftists want to emasculate America making us dependent/weak with no self defenses? TAKING OUR POWER AWAY IN EVERY WAY. And what about those who live in the concrete jungles of NYC and others? Have they lost their abilities to defend themselves and their families? I think they need to see the Jack Nicholson movie, "Wolf". And should cars and airplanes be regulated since they kill people?

3. Why are so many liberals quick to smear the entire country with the act of one mentally ill person?

4. And lastly, for O´Reilly: Did you not know about Lanza burning himself with a lighter?? Is this not true?

Not surprised that o´reilly was "amazed".

This simply reveals what seems to me to be his shallow approach to most subjects. This explains why he seems to have no firm moral core: he can vascillate easily from one side to the other.

Most events and trends in history are complex and irreducible to simple notions or solutions or diagnoses.

Why won´t people step back and take a breath? No-one has all the facts. "All" the facts may never be known. For one thing and most importantly we´ll never get into Lanza´s mind.

But look at his eyes: they´re the window to his soul ...perhaps. Vacant, wide, pleading, horror-struck.

The Dem/lefties do what they always do and that is to fan the flames of emotion, a lot of it irrational, and becoming tinged with anger and hostility.

We´d all better watch out. This community organizer, rabble-rouser, this POTUS who with incredible alacrity stirs up strife between races, ethnic groups, young and old, even playing the disgusting marxist "hate the rich" game, he is just fine with roiling emotions.

We don´t want to become what we despise.

Wrong, Goldberg. Another fool who talks about guns like he knows anything beyond the thousands of hours of media brainwashing on the subject. Try this for the ´truth,´ Bernie. If any gun is wrong, they are ALL wrong. You start with the supposition that a citizen with a clean record can´t be trusted with certain weapons that paranoid gun haters have suddenly decided are now too dangerous for any American to own. Except for people who they approve of, THOSE people can be armed with anything they want. We are either dangerous children or we are of equal standing with people like Feinstein and Schumer who carry whatever they want. Man up and get to the bottom line you poser.

Does it really matter what we here have to say about O´Reilly´s agenda when he has B. Goldberg as guest on a regularly scheduled basis? I don´t believe it is.

Carefully planned and taped for our "listening pleasure" is insulting and once again reminds us that we,the sheep, will bleat on schedule.

If FNC wanted the respect of the viewer, they would seek, somehow,to solicit opinions and Roger Ailes would/could address the mediocrity that that Channel has become.

It´s been a while since he broke out with "Bias", so maybe the scales never will fall from his eyes. But we can always hope.

Sure, approving the Keystone XL pipeline would alienate a small but deep-pocketed sect of the Democratic base, leaving President Obama and his party without that particular battalion of influential donors and infuriating its activists into a probably well-publicized frenzy — but not approving the pipeline is liable to have the some of the same effects with a different heavily-donating wing of the party. When the Obama administration announced yet another through-the-upcoming-election delay of the embattled project on Friday, using the legal holdup on the ground in Nebraska as their entirely lame excuse, Big Labor was evidently none too amused. In the late summer of 2013, a series of videos began to surface on the internet which showed the bloody Syrian civil war had taken a turn toward the unspeakable. The videos revealed images of young men foaming at the mouth; the bodies of children, contorted and discolored; the floors of makeshift hospitals covered with bodies of civilians that died of an apparent chemical weapons attack. In the days that followed, American officials and independent observers confirmed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had committed a flagrant violation of international norms and used Sarin gas against civilian targets. The March directive, obtained by the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) Project on Government Secrecy, says members of the intelligence community “must obtain authorization for contacts with the media” regarding intelligence matters.
