The president flew to Connecticut to represent the nation in offering comfort to the town and survivors of the mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School killing 26.[Snip]"Can we say that we’re truly doing enough to give all the children of this country the chance they deserve to live out their lives in happiness and with purpose?” Obama answered No.

According to the CDC - over 10,000 americans died from drunk driving accidents last year.

At least 3,000 of those were killed by Illegal Aliens.

An additional 3,000 to 4,000 Americans were murdered by Illegal Aliens last year.

What happened in Connecticut was horrendous. But, no one will even whisper about the elephant sitting on our chests.

That address last night was pathetic. The fact that he had to give a 20 minute address during the football game was telling. He could have taken time during the 60 NEWS hour, but I guess he´s too important for that. He really didn´t say ANYTHING. We´re all adults. We know what happened and we are reacting to it in our own way. It appears that The President was, once again, going for the most impact for his Photo Op! Shame on him! Also, he needs to watch some video of Clinton crying. He was much better at tears on demand that Obama was the other day during his first news appearance.

His first ever visit to Connecticut...?
Ironically, the SS# he uses that was never assigned to him (according to E-Verify) was apparently harvested from there.

I was in Israel last month and observed many armed soldiers and guards around many public places. They have learned how to protect innocent people for terrorist acts.

I´m in the camp of allowing teachers, administrators, janitors, and bus drivers to carry. Why is it so hard for so many people to see that "gun free zones" attract mass shootings?

Obama asked "Can we say that we’re truly doing enough to give all the children of this country the chance they deserve to live out their lives in happiness and with purpose?"

Do you mean by protecting and expanding abortion?

The only thing this monster is concerned with is using this tragedy to secure the long sought Liberal goal of eliminating the 2nd Amendment.

All I can say is Molon Labe.

That is one of the problems. No one could defend themselves from a law breaker. NO ONE!

Teachers nd administrators work in schools. For the children, school is their "work" at that age.

Like Ft Hood, I guess it´s just more workplace violence.

Every two weeks it happens in Chicago. How many of those children would still be alive if the principal and teachers were armed and trained for something like this.

Every time we hear the statements "These Tragedies Must End" or "This can never happen again" it is followed by some very poor laws. It´s often law that makes the problems worse instead of better. Or law that has unintended consequences that are worse than the original problem.

Thank the ACLU for fighting against some mental cases to be in institutions. They were all set free to fend for themselves or for families to take care of. Many families have suffered tragedy while taking care of a mentally disturbed relative. Many who are homeless now is because there is nowhere for them to go and be treated. From what I understand CT. rejected a bill last Feb. that would have taken some of these people into an outpatient type of treatment.

Many children have been killed by gunfire in ("gun-free") Chicago. Why hasn´t O visited his hometown to add his "comfort?"

Reply 17 - Posted by: bobgray2, 12/17/2012 10:29:23 AM     (No. 9070687)

The tragedy in Connecticut is just a busy weekend in Chicago. The next time some liberal demands more gun control in response to one of these shootings, ask them why it is that you never see one of these deranged characters attempt a mass killing at a police station? The answer of course, is that there are a lot of people there who will shoot you if you tried it. So, is the answer to these shootings to further restrict the ability of law abiding citizens to protect themselves, and, in this case, the children in their care? Or is it to not only allow, but encourage, people to have the means to protect themselves and others from violent predators?

That fool of a president never ever speaks for me. Had he truly represented ME before those grieving families and friends, he´d have stayed home or at the very least bowed his head and bent his knees before the Lord to pray for ministering blessings of comfort. Obama NEVER speaks for me when he shows up like the ghouls in the media with their voyeurism. Teachers and administrators should be provided weapons training (like their precious diversity training) and allowed to conceal and carry. Problem solved.

Bow-Boy et al are cowards and fools.

There were an estimated 5,709,329 Jews killed in World War II, going to their slaughter "as lambs" because they were defenceless.

Read this headline:

"Principle confronts, shoots, and kills 20-year-old gunman in elementary school hallway before he could get of a shot."

Instead, we´ve got the opposite.

Massacres happen because those mowed down are unable to defend themselves and further, have nobody to defend in their stead.

Want to do something Bow-Boy?

Shut up.

Want to do something communities, towns, and cities?

Know how to defend yourselves, and those you love, with deadly force when necessary and also provide those who can with the tools and skills to provide any and all required defense.

Otherwise, continue to suffer your lambs being led to the slaughter.

"Can we say that we’re truly doing enough to give all the children of this country the chance they deserve to live out their lives in happiness and with purpose?"

I would say the answer is ´NO´.

Let´s put this in terms that 0bama can understand..... due to the left´s ´sacrament´ of abortion we now have millions upon millions of lost TAXPAYERS. We know how the left loves to tax. Goodness, if these children had been allowed to be born and to grow up many would be in the workplace paying into ´SS´, buying homes, autos, and other goods and services.
Not to mention the voters who don´t exist either. (how many future progressives were lost). HHHHMMMMMMM??????

It´s a good thing this column is available online, so that residents of Memphis, New Orleans and Riverside, California can learn how unsafe their city is without having to venture outside. Those are the bottom three metropolitan areas where residents said they felt least safe walking alone at night in their neighborhood. From the safety of their little work cubicles somewhere, the number gnomes over at the Gallup organization have been accumulating data on perceived human well-being as part of their polling calls on many subjects. From that data comes the 50 most and least safe cities.

Hi, everybody. Our top priority as a nation, and my top priority as President, must be doing everything we can to reignite the engine of America’s growth: a rising, thriving middle class. That’s our North Star. That must drive every decision we make. Now, yesterday, we learned that our businesses created 95,000 new jobs last month. That’s about 500,000 new jobs this year, and nearly 6.5 million new jobs over the past three years. But we’ve got more work to do.

In a swift and strange reversal, Obama administration officials Thursday rushed to play down their own recent announcements of defensive U.S. military movements in response to threats and provocations from North Korea. The hereditary Communist dictatorship of the Kim family that took over the North after World War II has always been quirky, unpredictable and, well, mentally unbalanced by any modern governing standards. The country would be cinematically comical and worthy of a Peter Sellers role were the rogue regime not actively developing nuclear weapons and long-distance missiles to deliver or orbit them.

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
