| For once, I am inclined to believe Hillary Clinton. The U.S. Secretary of State, suffering from a sick stomach, has reportedly fainted and bumped her head. As a result, her spokespeople have already announced that she will be unable to testify at the Benghazi hearings, although she was not due to appear until December 20, many days after the vaguely reported fainting spell. Already, the internet is resounding with a chorus of "How convenient!" (See here and here, for example.) Many, upon hearing this news, are assuming that Clinton, who has been hedging for a month on whether to appear

She´s probably having panic seizures over the idea of having to lie on camera before the whole country. She´s probably also trying to protect her integrity for a 2016 run.
Of course this is all republicans fault for having these witch hunt hearings.

Brilliantly reasoned, to a conclusion everyone in their gut knows is the truth.
But she´ll only get away with it if the GOP lets her. And, sigh, it looks like they will.

Hillary is first and foremost a lawyer and knows very well the high cost of committing perjury before Congress. She wants so badly to avoid accountability for this mess that she is throwing away her chance to be president by throwing the "weak and fragile woman" card. This should embolden the house investigators to know that she is hiding something really big and the pursuit will be worth their efforts.

Wonder who else will take the fall for the incompetent higher ups? Rice, if she had any brains, should have figured out she was disposable when SHE was sent out to the tv programs and clinton remained in seclusion. As for being disqualified for running for potus because of illness....clinton has done nothing to warrant being a senator OR a secretary of state...other than being married to bill and being placated by putting her in these positions. Illness will not disqualify her in a liberal´s mind. Only death will disqualify her. And she will probably live a long, unhappy life.

It really doesn´t matter if she testifies or not. As long as nearly 50% of our population keeps getting their free stuff, they don´t care one bit about Benghazigate.

I find it interesting that this woman has been involved in situations with two men that are considered Impeachable offenses. BJ barely escaped impeachment and removal from office for blatant perjury, while Zero will skate by without anybody even mentioning impeachment, despite his actions (and inactions) costing American lives.
And some people think she would be a presidential contender? Republicans are unfairly held to a higher standard, while Democrats just la-de-da along in political life and get the world´s hugest pass.

Face it, Republicans are weak. Benghazi should be the downfall of the Obama administration. No one will be held accountable for the deaths of these four Americans. Neither will Obama be held responsible for the state of our economy. Our leadership is weak and more than willing to go along to get along. Man up, Republicans! Hold this corrupt administration accountable for its deed. Get tough. Do not let Mrs. Clinton off the hook even if she is having a case of the vapors. And this woman wants to be President? Really??

It´s a bizarre world when being married to a president gives credentials to BEING president. Or Sec. State! The same idea is being floated with regard to Moochelle. She´s ´qualified´ to be president?
In whose world.

Let´s not underestimate the threat that stomach-flu- related concussions pose to our society. It´s just bad timing that Hillary can´t come to school today and give her book report. Maybe next week? Let´s hope the concussion hasn´t damaged the memory, though there´s always the possibility of that sad side effect.

A consussion at her age is not a good thing. Heck, NFL´rs are force to sit out games but at least they get a check up and maybe a trip to the hospital. If she hit herself in the head, there is the danger of bleeding under the skull, so she should have gone for Xrays. Did she?
And finally, let´s say she really has a concussion. Then subpoena her back in Feb, April, June, Dec of 2013. This investigation shall never be closed until she testifies. And if she does not, we need to hang this albatross around her neck come 2016.

Y´know it occurs to me that I don´t know any old drunks anymore. They all died- in their fifties. If she´s foolish enough at her age to risk an alcohol problem - she is too much of a fool to be SOS, let alone run for president. As a previous poster pointed out, she hasn´t been qualified for any gov´t position she has held - I understand that she just barely passed the bar & had to take it more than once. I´ve never seen brilliance in her, just intimidation tactics against anyone who doesn´t kiss her big butt, sing her praises & hand her what she wants - all by virtue of who she is married to. I think I´ll start using her" tummy ache/bumped my soft head" excuse when my lib relatives start in over the holidays.

This is so sad because he should be held to the same standards as any president. I think he´s the only one who points out the color of his skin. To most Americans it doesn´t matter the color of skin.

Hillary sickens me. She always has. The supposed feminist got where she was because of who she was married to. Period. She becomes Senator in NY because why? She´s Hillary? She´s a girl? Because New Yorkers are nuts? As a New Yorker I can say they are. Then with absolutely no experience is named Secretary of State by a clown with even less experience. What a woeful job she has done over these past 4 years. And now, she is inevitable for the presidency? She watched as her staff was slaughtered. She is now trying to save her sorry ample posterior on the graves of her staff. If a little flu virus will keep her from testifying in a few days, how can she ever perform as president? Although the standards for presidential performance have been seriously diminished. As president, she will need to be up to the task, flu and all of running the country. But, she was never qualified for any of the jobs she was given and now behaving as a "girly girl" is oh, too sick to appear in Congress.
Can you imagine if this was Condi Rice and she was going to run for president? The press would be all over her. The press sickens me as much as Hillary does. PULEEZE.

If she has it too I know she has no desire to prep for a hearing, much less attend. But that doesn´t excuse completely bailing on the hearing. The right thing to do would be reschedule, but then expecting a lib to do the right thing is expecting too much.

If Hillary really cared about US, she would say that she would willingly testify to the best of her knowledge and be honest.
This is all we are asking for - honesty!
Is that too much to ask for?
Seems the liberal media is not concerned whether or not she testifies or even if it is important!
America suffers from those who are too politcally correct than be just plain honest and caring about this land we love.
Our forefathers would be totally ashamed of the politicians of today - not wanting to be responsible for their own actions, carng more for themselves than the country they are paid to defend and represent!
News to Hillary - God will ask and He will get an answer. Sadly, He might reply - Depart from me for I never knew you! That is the end for those who decide to evade the truth to save their mortal hides!

Bilary´s life is an unending series of lies, big ones involving crimes, fraud, murder, theft, impeachment, betrayal of sovereignty, it goes on and on. Now she has to re-coverup one of the grand murder lies of the century with the guy she´s supposedly working for. She´s not lying for Willie or herself, she´s lying for a raging, vindictive, troubled person who can easily throw her under the bus. Her life is on the line. She´s seen too many guys go down in flames. The heat is on!

In one of his more well-publicized gaffes, Vice President Biden said of John McCain: "Look, John´s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." Actually, of course, it´s a four-letter word, and it was his job and the president´s to create a climate for job expansion, and they failed. The evidence is now overwhelming: they have created the worst employment climate in decades.

When your article inspires a big-city mayor to refer your case to a "human-relations commission," you know you´ve hit a nerve. And when that article is the recent "Being White in Philly" piece by liberal Robert Huber, you know it doesn´t take much truth to hit that nerve. That´s the scary part. Huber´s article contains mostly tepid examples of whites´ negative experiences with blacks and primarily black neighborhoods, such as a Philadelphia resident whose grill was stolen from her backyard but "blames herself" for not fencing it in. Its tone is basically apologetic, absolving a drug dealer of responsibility

That´s something to remember when you arrive there next week. Israel has a government, elected by its people in a free, fair, open and democratic election. Multiple parties representing widely divergent points of view met a wildly diverse electorate through free media and open debate. This is no stultified two-party affair with a libertarian insurgency. Israel will be the only country you visit in the region, this time or any other, that has a fully democratic system. Do not be swayed by the "apartheid" slander. Citizens of Israel are Jews, Moslems, Christians, and Druze, each with religious and non-religious elements.

Prodded by a president with a weakness for racial agitation and enabled by a politically complicit media, the State of Florida persists in a prosecution that can come to no good end. The defendant is neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. The charge is the second-degree murder. The potential outcomes range from major injustice, if Zimmerman is convicted, to mayhem in the streets, if he´s acquitted. And the state plods on as though the angels were on its side. They are not. The witnesses to the February 2012 shooting of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin are proving even more troublesome

The political world changed its orbit Wednesday as Rand Paul seized the spotlight in his March 6 filibuster. Rand Paul -- not this author´s favorite before -- is probably now the 2016 front-runner for president. But the difference results from fundamental changes in substance. How can one day be that big of a deal? Because Rand Paul demonstrated a reproducible, winning formula. It was as if Ronald Reagan were granted just one day to come back to Earth to remind the Party of Lincoln of "how it´s done." Rand demonstrated a repeatable formula that all Republicans can copy.

Sixty-three months ago Barack Obama officially declared his candidacy for President. Only now are some among the so-called media and ruling elites in America slowly awakening from their self-induced infatuation and beginning to understand who he is. It has become difficult to ignore the overt intimidation, demagoguery and deliberate falsehoods spewed forth by Obama relative to sequestration -- a miniscule cut in the growth of federal spending. However, any cursory examination of his past reveals that these tactics are second nature to the man who currently occupies the Oval Office.

Years ago, when I used to play poker with some guys, I played a hand in which across the table from me was someone who looked as though he had a straight flush. He kept pumping up the bidding and everyone folded but me. When we finally showed our hands he had nothing. "You don´t know what you´re doing," he yelled. "Any good player would have folded! Why did you stay in?" he shouted angrily. "Because you curled your lip and reacted furiously when I stayed in. Someone with a winning hand would never do that."

By law, on Friday the executive must begin to cut $85 billion from federal spending. Though, as is his wont, the president is blaming the Republicans for what he claims is a draconian measure. No less a Washington chronicler of events than Bob Woodward of the Washington Post considers that a gross distortion of the truth [T]he automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of [Treasury Secretary nominee Jack] Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors -- probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.

Too little serious conservative analysis of the 2012 presidential campaign has yet appeared. This is understandable. The results of the election were disheartening to the point of shock. The campaign defied all historical precedent, all commonsense interpretation. The Romney ticket should not have lost and did not deserve to lose. The Democrats, fielding the least worthy ticket in the past century -- and that´s saying something -- did not deserve to win. The reasons they did are myriad and complex. But before we get too far down the road, there is one lesson that has to be grasped:

No, I´m not talking about Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael (God rest Michael´s tortured soul). I´m talking about the Chicago Jacksons, Jesse Sr. and Jesse Jr. The Jackson 5 in their heyday gave plenty: music, entertainment, and joy to their fans. The Chicago Jacksons are another story. Jesse Sr. (The Right Reverend) and his son (the erstwhile congressman) have done a lot more taking than giving. "Taking" may be too charitable a word. Shaking down and wheedling may be better descriptors for the Chicago Jacksons´ acts.

By now you likely have heard that Chris Rock considers Barack Obama America´s father. If that is true, then would somebody call Child Protective Services and find us foster parents! For Chris Rock, America´s true Founding Fathers were disappointingly white. I suspect that whatever the color of America´s Founding Fathers might have been, they would not have approved of having a failure like Obama among their esteemed membership. Thought the Founding Fathers had many flaws, they were smart enough to eliminate the self-indulgent institution of slavery from America´s future.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Sen. John McCain says he doesn´t understand the threats from some of his Republican colleagues to filibuster a bill on background checks to buy guns. "I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, considered by some to be a potential Republican contender for president, apologized to Johns Hopkins University for the "poorly chosen words" he used in expressing his opposition to gay marriage last month.“I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused,” Carson said in the letter, reported in New York Magazine.(Snip) "Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
