Hillary in Hiding
American Thinker, by Daren Jonescu

Original Article

For once, I am inclined to believe Hillary Clinton. The U.S. Secretary of State, suffering from a sick stomach, has reportedly fainted and bumped her head. As a result, her spokespeople have already announced that she will be unable to testify at the Benghazi hearings, although she was not due to appear until December 20, many days after the vaguely reported fainting spell. Already, the internet is resounding with a chorus of "How convenient!" (See here and here, for example.) Many, upon hearing this news, are assuming that Clinton, who has been hedging for a month on whether to appear

She´s probably having panic seizures over the idea of having to lie on camera before the whole country. She´s probably also trying to protect her integrity for a 2016 run.

Of course this is all republicans fault for having these witch hunt hearings.

Brilliantly reasoned, to a conclusion everyone in their gut knows is the truth.

But she´ll only get away with it if the GOP lets her. And, sigh, it looks like they will.

Hillary is first and foremost a lawyer and knows very well the high cost of committing perjury before Congress.
She wants so badly to avoid accountability for this mess that she is throwing away her chance to be president by throwing the "weak and fragile woman" card.
This should embolden the house investigators to know that she is hiding something really big and the pursuit will be worth their efforts.

Wonder who else will take the fall for the incompetent higher ups? Rice, if she had any brains, should have figured out she was disposable when SHE was sent out to the tv programs and clinton remained in seclusion.
As for being disqualified for running for potus because of illness....clinton has done nothing to warrant being a senator OR a secretary of state...other than being married to bill and being placated by putting her in these positions. Illness will not disqualify her in a liberal´s mind. Only death will disqualify her. And she will probably live a long, unhappy life.

It really doesn´t matter if she testifies or not. As long as nearly 50% of our population keeps getting their free stuff, they don´t care one bit about Benghazigate.

I find it interesting that this woman has been involved in situations with two men that are considered Impeachable offenses. BJ barely escaped impeachment and removal from office for blatant perjury, while Zero will skate by without anybody even mentioning impeachment, despite his actions (and inactions) costing American lives.

And some people think she would be a presidential contender? Republicans are unfairly held to a higher standard, while Democrats just la-de-da along in political life and get the world´s hugest pass.

Face it, Republicans are weak. Benghazi should be the downfall of the Obama administration. No one will be held accountable for the deaths of these four Americans. Neither will Obama be held responsible for the state of our economy. Our leadership is weak and more than willing to go along to get along. Man up, Republicans! Hold this corrupt administration accountable for its deed. Get tough. Do not let Mrs. Clinton off the hook even if she is having a case of the vapors. And this woman wants to be President? Really??

It´s a bizarre world when being married to a president gives credentials to BEING president. Or Sec. State! The same idea is being floated with regard to Moochelle. She´s ´qualified´ to be president?

In whose world.

God be with us in these troubling times!

Let´s not underestimate the threat that stomach-flu- related concussions pose to our society. It´s just bad timing that Hillary can´t come to school today and give her book report. Maybe next week? Let´s hope the concussion hasn´t damaged the memory, though there´s always the possibility of that sad side effect.

A consussion at her age is not a good thing. Heck, NFL´rs are force to sit out games but at least they get a check up and maybe a trip to the hospital. If she hit herself in the head, there is the danger of bleeding under the skull, so she should have gone for Xrays. Did she?

And finally, let´s say she really has a concussion. Then subpoena her back in Feb, April, June, Dec of 2013. This investigation shall never be closed until she testifies. And if she does not, we need to hang this albatross around her neck come 2016.

Scathing as this article is, it never even mentions the "Gun Running to Terrorists" angle that appears to be the underlying motive for the politically expensive and embarrassing and obvious cover-up.

This is one horrid, murderous high crime piled upon another.

Looks like all it took was 20 dead kindergartners to flush it all down the memory hole.

Never let a crisis get away before finding your profit angle.

Y´know it occurs to me that I don´t know any old drunks anymore. They all died- in their fifties. If she´s foolish enough at her age to risk an alcohol problem - she is too much of a fool to be SOS, let alone run for president. As a previous poster pointed out, she hasn´t been qualified for any gov´t position she has held - I understand that she just barely passed the bar & had to take it more than once. I´ve never seen brilliance in her, just intimidation tactics against anyone who doesn´t kiss her big butt, sing her praises & hand her what she wants - all by virtue of who she is married to. I think I´ll start using her" tummy ache/bumped my soft head" excuse when my lib relatives start in over the holidays.

Not surprising - wondering when something was going to show up so she couldn´t testify. One can´t hold this president to the same standards as a republican because then you are called a racist. This is so sad because he should be held to the same standards as any president. I think he´s the only one who points out the color of his skin. Hillary sickens me. She always has. The supposed feminist got where she was because of who she was married to. Period. She becomes Senator in NY because why? She´s Hillary? She´s a girl? Because New Yorkers are nuts? As a New Yorker I can say they are. Then with absolutely no experience is named Secretary of State by a clown with even less experience. What a woeful job she has done over these past 4 years. And now, she is inevitable for the presidency? She watched as her staff was slaughtered. She is now trying to save her sorry ample posterior on the graves of her staff. If a little flu virus will keep her from testifying in a few days, how can she ever perform as president? Although the standards for presidential performance have been seriously diminished. As president, she will need to be up to the task, flu and all of running the country. But, she was never qualified for any of the jobs she was given and now behaving as a "girly girl" is oh, too sick to appear in Congress.

Can you imagine if this was Condi Rice and she was going to run for president? The press would be all over her. The press sickens me as much as Hillary does. PULEEZE.

I´ve never spared Shrillary any quarter, but I´m going to cut her some slack on this one. There is a nasty virus going round the DC area. I´ve got right now, my son had it over the weekend. If she has it too I know she has no desire to prep for a hearing, much less attend. But that doesn´t excuse completely bailing on the hearing. The right thing to do would be reschedule, but then expecting a lib to do the right thing is expecting too much.

If Hillary really cared about US, she would say that she would willingly testify to the best of her knowledge and be honest.

This is all we are asking for - honesty!

Is that too much to ask for?

Seems the liberal media is not concerned whether or not she testifies or even if it is important!

America suffers from those who are too politcally correct than be just plain honest and caring about this land we love.

Our forefathers would be totally ashamed of the politicians of today - not wanting to be responsible for their own actions, carng more for themselves than the country they are paid to defend and represent!

News to Hillary - God will ask and He will get an answer. Sadly, He might reply - Depart from me for I never knew you! That is the end for those who decide to evade the truth to save their mortal hides!

Early on in the Genesis chapter of the Bible much is made of Adam giving names to all living creatures. Like everything about the Bible, the meaning of this event is subject to many interpretations, the most often given is that it signals man’s dominion over the other creatures of the earth. I don’t dispute that reading, but to me, the naming description signifies that there can be no real communication among people unless the names we use mean the same thing to all of us. A spade certainly is a garden implement, but if you are in the gardening

The “I’m shocked, shocked” line from Casablanca is too much a cliché to carry any -- umm -- shock value, but surely it fits Putin’s actions against Ukraine. In the business world, a diligent board of directors would have long ago fired CEO Obama. Sometimes it takes only a year of less than expected earnings to result in the termination of a corporate CEO. A couple of underperforming years and a few reasons more, and a CEO would have his bags packed and stowed underneath his buck-stopping desk. A long list of problems -- especially one suggesting even a hint of fraud -- that fails to generate a satisfactory board response would stir shareholders and lenders to demand the resignation of not only the CEO and other key employees,

This week the big story was the tag end of the old JournoList gang trying to spin gold out of the dross of the Congressional Budget Report. The CBO report projected that by 2021 under ObamaCare more than 2 million full-time workers will find it financially advisable to quit work entirely or switch to part-time jobs in order to get more subsidies for healthcare insurance. To most of us who studied real economics or just paid attention to human nature, subsidizing indolence means you´ll get more of it. But to the airheads on the left and their JournoList spinmasters -- the

This week to an ever-diminishing audience President Obama outlined a pedestrian plan for the remainder of this year, amidst the usual hornswoggle of invited guests in the gallery and dubious daytime TV style anecdotal stories of their lives. More popular than ever is the wish that we could return to State of the Union messages being delivered on paper to Congress. In the meantime my friend Ignatz, the genius Sultan Knish (Daniel Greenfield) and even Vladimir Putin offered up some sage observations which underscore the rot at the heart of the administration and his party and the likely consequences of their

Apart from me, there is only one other non-Democrat I know of in my immediate D.C. neighborhood. Let´s call him John Doe, because he´s petrified that he´ll be the next target of this extra-constitutional gang from Chicago and wouldn´t want to see his name made public. I hadn´t seen him around for a while, but yesterday afternoon there was a knock on the back door. No one ever uses it so I figured it was the gas meter reader, but no, it was John who scurried in, using the cover of the large fig tree branches out of fear he might

Barack Obama´s Constant State

Contradicting the faultless, albeit far-fetched image he has of himself, Barack Obama is a man harassed by truth. That´s why, judging from his inability to accept personal responsibility, Barack Obama must be living in a constant state of agitated cognitive dissonance. The late Leon Festinger is the social psychologist who proposed the theory of cognitive dissonance. According to Festinger, until the person suffering with perceptual disharmony can find a way to justify wrong actions and decisions, it´s impossible to achieve a calm mental state, especially when those wrong actions and decisions challenge the way the cognitively dissonant individual sees himself.

My relationship with Joe evokes the Jane Austen line, "For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in our turn?" Joe is an 82-year-old black man, a very successful retired computer engineer. He owns homes in the most affluent areas of this city, and until recently he tooled around the southeastern U.S. in his Cessna. Joe is a forceful man who has assumed the role of a leader among our common acquaintance. Joe is obsessed with white racism, and because he is black, people acquiesce to him in ways they would not for

Imagine going to work one day only to be, in effect, fired -- not because of anything you did or didn’t do at your job, but because of something you did in your personal life. Something religious. Or maybe, something political.(snip)That’s exactly what happened to Brendan Eich, a highly-respected tech guru in Silicon Valley and co-founder of Mozilla Corporation, after he was appointed CEO in late March. In less than a week, he was forced out of this position for no reason other than that he had a made a $1000 contribution to the Prop 8 initiative in 2008. His

The State Department has no idea what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors. In a special “management alert” made public Thursday, the State Department’s Inspector General Steve Linick warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at the department has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years. The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors. The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt

Muslim moms and dads in Dearborn, Mich. are upset after students received flyers promoting an Easter Egg hunt at a local Presbyterian church. The parents say the egg hunt violates the U.S. Constitution. The Muslims told the Detroit Free-Press that they were concerned about the religious implications of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church’s “Eggstravaganza!” They were also troubled by images of a bunny rabbit. “It really bothered my two kids,” parent Majed Moughni, told the newspaper. “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed

A senior CIA official has died in an apparent suicide this week from injuries sustained after jumping off a building in northern Virginia, according to sources close to the CIA. CIA spokesman Christopher White confirmed the death and said the incident did not take place at CIA headquarters in McLean, Va. “We can confirm that there was an individual fatally injured at a facility where agency work is done,” White told the Washington Free Beacon. “He was rushed to a local area hospital where he subsequently died. A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

Earlier this week on Boston’s WRKO-AM’s The Howie Carr Show, conservative commentator Ann Coulter shocked some conservatives when she said she is making 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney her favorite for the 2016 Republican contest. Last month in an interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, Romney himself ruled out the possibility of a 2016 run and said he was instead focused on who to get behind in that contest. Coulter, however, wishes otherwise. “Well, don´t tell him but I´m planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and

Following her speech at the “Women of the World Summit” in New York City on Thursday, Hillary Clinton was asked this simple question by a moderator: “When you look at your time as Secretary of State, what are you most proud of? And what do you feel was unfinished, and maybe have another crack at one day?” Here are a few excerpts from her response: ”Look, I really see my role as Secretary, in fact leadership in general in a democracy, as a relay race. When you run the best race you can run, you hand off the baton.” “Some

A 54-year-old white man has been left barely clinging to life after he was brutally beaten by a group of black men when he got out of his car to check on a young black boy he accidentally hit. Steve Utash, from suburban Roseville, was beaten into a coma Wednesday by an angry mob in a poverty-stricken Detroit neighborhood after David Harris, 10, ran in front of his truck on a busy street, but police insist the incident was not racially motivated. The gang also stole his wallet before leaving him for dead. Utash is in extremely critical

Attorney General Eric Holder disputed a Government Accountability Office report on his use of Justice Department airplanes for personal trips, saying it overstated the number of trips he took and failed to recognize that some trips were job-related. "My staff keeps telling me to take it easy, you know, well, this is one that gets me," Holder told Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. "There was this notion that we´ve taken -- I think it was described as hundreds of personal trips. That was wrong. GAO counted flights, not round trips. And we looked at it
