| Washington -- After months of accusations and political recriminations, the State Department is getting ready to present the most detailed explanation yet regarding the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Monday, the State Department is expected to get a report on the incident from the independent Advisory Review Board, sources in the State Department told CNN Sunday. The review was ordered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Congress will receive the report from the board ahead of a classified briefing for members on Wednesday

The independent review board who´s members were chosen by the State Department, directed by the State Department and overseen by the State Department will release its findings to the State Department. The State Department will then decide which parts of it will be revealed by the spokesperson from the State Department at a State Department briefing. An unnamed official at the State Department announced that there will be no reporters present and all questions should be directed, in writing , to the State Department. Did I miss anything in describing this independent report?

President Obama likes pretending he floats above politics. In fact, he is the most compulsively partisan president in modern times. Everything he says and does is better understood through a partisan lens. So consider the recent Washington Post article in which Scott Wilson and Philip Rucker reported Mr. Obama wants to "cement his legacy" by working "to flip the Republican-held House back to Democratic control" so he can then "push forward with a progressive agenda on gun control, immigration, climate change and the economy during his final two years in office."

Denver-based CNN journalist Jim Spellman says the total lack of media coverage of the legal travails faced by Fox News reporter Jana Winter for protecting her sources clearly demonstrates an anti-Fox News bias in the press.
