Former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel is apparently the prospective Obama nominee to replace Leon Panetta as the Secretary of Defense. Earlier this week my daughter Eliana reported how he has been lobbying for a senior position in the administration. With Chuck Hagel at Defense and John Kerry at State, we would have a one-two punch aimed squarely at our own head.

My recollection of Hagel is that he was an angst-filled, sort of anti-american, conflicted over the vietnam war and his service there.
President Zero is putting together quite a team, hey?

All indications here are that Chuck likes the burka. He looks like Morsi, grizzled and gruff. Being Obama´s pick also confirms that he would be the worst choice for the country. Defense or Dhimmitude department? Muslims are coming out of fhe closet.

Hagel would fit perfectly with Kerry and Obama. They are all terribly unfunny jokes.

NY Times explains why Obama wants Hagel - "Mr. Hagel voted for the resolution that authorized Mr. Bush to take military action in Iraq, but he soured on the war. In a Senate hearing in 2007, he denounced Mr. Bush’s plan to send more troops to Baghdad as “the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam.’´ He also co-sponsored a resolution with two Democratic senators, Carl Levin of Michigan and Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware, that declared the increase to be not in the national interest"

Hagel can be Flip with Kerry as Flop to prove that two wrongs rarely get it right.

Hagel will gut DoD while Kerry guts our alliances.

Well, more than half the voters in this country knew full well what kind of a President they reelected! We should no be all surprised when he installs like-minded, anti-American MarxistCommunists in these critical positions. I fear this country is going to reap the whirlwind over this foolish election!

..Germany´s Deutsche Bank, is being investigated for alleged violations "of a trade embargo on Iran´s oil and energy sector."

Guess we will have to allow more young men to die in a "sons of Hagar" war or go into depression for our Republic to wake up. If we do not come back to our beginnings we will be toast on the pages of history. Sorry to be so pessimistic but there are not enough conservative Senators to vote against these two traitors! Chuck Hagel is a RINO who would attempt to give President Obama the political cover that he needs to transform the military into a very limited fighting force in the future.

Hagel has been lobbying for a job with the Obama Administration since that crew was created.

Recently when liberal Democrat Bob Kerrey, a New York city resident for more then the last decade went back to Nebraska, at the behest of Harry Reid, in an attempt to win and save an open US Senate seat for the liberal Democrats, Hagel made a number of television commercials claiming to be a lifelong Republican who was endorsing Kerrey over the Republican candidate Deb Fischer.

The people of Nebraska realized that if Kerrey were elected, that he would immediately return to live in New York city, essentially giving the State of New York three liberal Democrat Senators, with Nebraska, for all intents and purposes, being left with only one US Senate seat.

Kerrey lost the election by over 15 points to Fischer who has always lived in Nebraska. Apparently Kerrey has already returned to New York city.

The Benghazi scandal was and is shocking, and the Justice Department assault on the free press, in which dogged reporters are tailed like enemy spies, is shocking. Benghazi is still under investigation and someday someone will write a great book about it. As for the press, Attorney General Eric Holder is on the run, and rightly so. They called it the First Amendment for a reason. But nothing can damage us more as a nation than what is happening at the Internal Revenue Service. Elite opinion in the press and in Washington doesn´t fully understand this.

Americans are told that they face a fiscal cliff if automatic spending cuts and tax increases occur at the end of the year.I´m not in favor of jumping off a cliff, but the logic of the proprosed threat needs to be questioned. The fiscal cliff narrative assumes that spending cuts are bad for the ecconomy. It follows then, that more spending (and therefore more government debt) are good for the economy.

Lois Lerner fears for her life if she testifies openly before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Wednesday, according to her attorney. House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa announced Sunday that Lerner will testify at Wednesday’s hearing, but Lerner’s attorney Bill Taylor said that Lerner will seek to continue invoking her Fifth Amendment rights and will also seek a one-week delay of her testimony. Oversight members are reportedly open to granting Lerner a one-week delay if she petitions for one in person at Wednesday’s hearing. The delay would allow Lerner’s lawyers to

Elijah Cummings (D-MD) exploded at Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (D-CA). Cummings charged that the way in which the proceedings were being conducted were “Un-American.” In apparent protest, Issa then walked out of the committee hearing. While making a statement before the committee, Issa stood up and asked Cummings to yield. “If you will sit down and allow me to ask a question,” Cummings insisted. “I am a member of a Congress of the United States of America.” “I am

We are embroiled in a global conflict, and the supposed “leader of the free world” is taking photo ops at a grade school, making statements about the invasion of Ukraine on a kids’ rug. Meanwhile, Putin incredibly denied that any Russian troops are in Ukraine, and somehow President Barack ‘I-call-the-Russian-invasion-an-uncontested-arrival’ Obama actually thought it was a good idea to set up a lectern on a grade school alphabet mat when the entire world is seeing the consequences of his weakness. This was the guy known for dramatic stagecraft and brilliant political framing, and this is what we get? Just amazing.

Saturday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a statement in honor of Women’s History Month in which they highlighted women trailblazers, mentioning some prominent women in the Republican Party. Conspicuously absent, however, was former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.Republicans “played a leading role in securing women’s right to vote,” Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day wrote, adding that Susan B. Anthony joined with other suffragists to pass the 19th Amendment, which was finally accomplished in 1919. Boasting a unique role Republican women have played, they stated: Republican women have a history of being trailblazers, breaking ground and glass ceilings--from Margaret Chase Smith,

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow asserted Monday that George W. Bush, who exited office in 2009, is ultimately at fault for the current Ukrainian crisis. Ms. Maddow told colleague Andrea Mitchell that Mr. Bush’s entire Middle East policy has led to several overseas conflicts, from the Iraq War to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine dispute. “The decisions of our generation on national security are determined more than anything by what the George W. Bush administration did with that nine-year war in Iraq and, alongside it, a 13-year war in Afghanistan that’s still going on,” Ms. Maddow said during a discussion about her new

The crisis in Ukraine has brought out a fresh round of critics of President Obama´s foreign policy who see a pattern emerging: the president tries to assert his authority and direct events on the world stage with empty threats, which inevitably have no follow through. With each instance, U.S. power grows weaker as foreign powers view Mr. Obama as the president who cried wolf. The latest case: Mr. Obama´s public warning to Russia to stay out of Ukraine was followed by an invasion just days later. It´s just the latest failure, say critics who point to Syria as an example.

At Chipotle, guacamole costs extra - but it soon may not be available at all thanks to climate change. The Denver, Colorado-based chain of Mexican fast-food restaurants threatened to take the condiment off the menu because of the rising price of avocados. While the avocado crop is currently fine, scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory are predicting drier temperatures will lead to a 40 per cent drop in California´s avocado crop over the next 32 years. Most modern scientists agree that there is a direct correlation between the increase of droughts and global warming, according to Think Progress.
