| KTS Business Consulting’s recent audit of Brand USA—the government-subsidized corporation created by Congress to promote United States tourism that has been dogged by allegations of cronyism and waste—obtained by the Free Beacon shows a company without vision, motivation, or oversight. The audit found “a majority of the staff did not have any idea what the mission” of Brand USA was and that “all staff was in limbo as to what type of organization the Brand USA is.” The Daily Caller first reported Thursday on new expense reports and business audits that paint a picture

Let the good times roll. After all, it´s OPM aka other people´s money aka your tax dollars.
If we did not give one dime in foreign aid or let any official go on a trip to promote their state or this country, trust me ..they will still come here.

Obama has created a 100 new government jobs a day since being in office. You have to wonder how many were BS jobs like these. We already had a bloated federal payroll before he even came along.
The lesbian cop who shot herself in NYC after posing with Obama, made me wonder how you can afford to carry a ceremonial officer on the payroll. When´s your next ceremony? Oh,sometime in August.
The commonality of all these people is they pay dues to line the dems coffers. It doesn´t matter whether the job is necessary or not. If they get behind on money, they simply float a bond or raise taxes.

Eliminating this worthless govt-subsidized program along with all the other programs and some departments should be a starting point for Republicans rather than talking about cutting Medicare or SS. There are all kinds of cuts like this that will have no effect on anyone. De-fund NPR, PBS, Planned Parenthood, Department of Education, Department of Energy, tie foreign aid to supporting the US at the UN, better yet de-fund the UN. There is so much waste it is incredible. I don´t want a balanced budget in 10 years which won´t happen I want one next year!

Most everyone agrees that at least one third of the government budget is lost to fraud, abuse and waste. Yet I never hear one Senator, one Representative talk about how they are going to tackle all this fraud, abuse and waste. If all this waste was eliminated we would have a balanced budget. Instead all the politicians want to talk about is Gay Marriage, Birth Control, anything useless to keep the people´s minds distracted. We need an anti-corruption party.

The State Department’s deputy chief of mission in Libya fought back tears on Wednesday as he delivered a lengthy account of the nighttime terrorist attacks last year that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens. The first-hand account is the first the Oversight Committee has heard publicly from a witness during its investigation of possible security and intelligence failures in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Testifying before a packed hearing room, Gregory Hicks gave an emotional account of his attempt to secure the State Department’s staff in Tripoli as he relayed messages to the Washington, D.C., operation center

Of the three cable networks, Fox News on Wednesday offered the most substantial coverage of whistleblower testimony on the September 11th terrorist attack in Benghazi. Fox broke in first at 11:36am and has been airing the hearings mostly unobstructed since. CNN followed at noon. Anchor Wolf Blitzer appeared and introduced coverage. The cable network stuck with the testimony for 15 minutes before leaving to feature discussion by Blitzer and Jake Tapper. MSNBC, unsurprisingly, was last. It wasn´t until 12:17pm, after spending copious amounts of time on the Cleveland abduction case, that the network finally showcased the hearings.

Ahead of today’s House Congressional hearing on the Benghazi attack, Stephen Colbert took a head-first dive into Fox News’ speculative coverage of what that network has been promising will be “explosive” revelations. Since the attack first happened last September, Colbert reported, Fox has been “doggedly” pursuing the investigation to uncover “how the administration blew it, when they blew it, why they blew it, and how they will continue to have blown it.” The host also marveled at the fact the car used in shot after shot on Fox appears to still be on fire. “I mean, it’s been eight months,”

Rep. Elijah Cummings was the first Democratic member of Congress to speak during Wednesday’s hearing on last year’s attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Cummings did not waste any time before going after Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), for what he believes was the congressman using the Benghazi attack for his own political gain. Cummings began by thanking the witness, former diplomat Gregory Hicks for his service and offering condolences for the loss of his colleagues in the attack. “If I had been in your place,”

Obama administration officials are finally letting the attorney for a Benghazi whistle-blower get a security clearance — but the clearance is at such a low level that it will probably slow the congressional probe of how the administration handled last year’s terrorist attack on the embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Victoria Toensing represents an unnamed government official who can help explain the reaction of top government officials to the jihadi attack on the U.S diplomatic site in Benghazi and killed four Americans last Sept. 11. The official may also be able to explain if officials rewrote intelligence reports

Joe Scarborough and Chuck Todd commiserated a bit on Wednesday’s Morning Joe, as they both questioned why conservatives are going after the Obama administration for Benghazi so fervently. While the situation merits investigation, both MSNBCers agreed that it’s no political “holy grail” — and won’t ensure Republican victory in 2014. Recalling a conversation with a leading Republican, Scarborough initiated the conversation as he discussed how said Republican felt the Benghazi will turn the American people against President Obama. “Are you kidding me?” was Scarborough’s reaction. “I want the investigation,” he agreed, but “I don’t understand why conservatives

On Wednesday, witnesses to the attack will testify in a congressional hearing for the first time about the events on September 11, 2012.Before the interview, Charles Woods and his two daughters gave Sean Hannity a framed photo of Tyrone. The question that needs to be answered for America’s sake is why this happened, said Woods. In order to answer that question, he concluded that we first need to answer who did this.

WASHINGTON – The Air Force stripped an unprecedented 17 officers of their authority to control — and, if necessary, launch — nuclear missiles after a string of unpublicized failings, including a remarkably dim review of their unit´s launch skills. The group´s deputy commander said it is suffering "rot" within its ranks. "We are, in fact, in a crisis right now," the commander, Lt. Col. When it first became clear that the CIA’s Benghazi talking points had been altered, many of us viewed the White House as the prime suspect. After all, it served President Obama’s political purposes to claim, at the height of a political campaign in which he was taking credit for the fall of al Qaeda, that the death of a U.S. ambassador was down to spontaneous outrage over a video, rather than pre-planned terrorism. It turns out, however, that the State Department was the prime culprit. It was State that pushed back hard against the original talking points.

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. Nullification was last used by Southern states to try to eviscerate Civil Rights legislation, to try to prevent states from basically enforcing desegregation and frankly, I think history will look back on this round of nullification as kindly as it did on the last round. It is laughable also because it is a total bastardization of the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is not an absolute right, not a God given right, always had conditions upon
