Rob Parker suspended
indefinitely for RGIII comments

Washington Post, by Cindy Boren

Original Article

Rob Parker has been suspended indefinitely by ESPN because of controversial racial comments he made Thursday about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. “Following yesterday’s comments Rob Parker has been suspended until further notice,” ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys said. “We are conducting a full review.” Parker on “First Take” had asked whether RGIII is “a brother, or is he a cornball brother? … He’s not real. Okay, he’s black, he kind of does the thing, but he’s not really down with the cause. He’s not one of us.

If a white guy had said something like this he would have been fired. Nothing makes these angry morons happy.

Apparently, RG3 is not fully on the democratic plantation. He is well spoken, not part of the cool scene where one earns street cred as being black enough. He should have been fired.

"Indefinitely" should mean either forever or until Parker is used as a tackle dummy for the Redskins.

I sent ESPN an email on their "contact us" page and told them that we watch ESPN as a diversion to politics and race baiting. Rob Parker, ESPN´s ambassador, IQ of 12, must apologize and so should ESPN. Despicable.

Parker´s comments were a result of talking with his cohorts who are troubled with RGIII. He is not alone in his thinking. The suspension only serves to bury the broader racialist ugliness. Hopefully, Parker will be resentful and run his mouth some more and not let the issue disappear. We need a much larger discussion than Parker is nuts.

The morons of the world like Rob Parker are a major cause of stupidity in my country.
Mr. Parker sports are about "talent" (you have none) and "drive" (yours is only bias) and respect (you have none given or received). You "racist political" commentary is
a. uncalled for.
b. unnecessary
c. stupid beyond understanding
d. has nothing to do with sports.
e. just shows your racist ideology to the world

If I was one on you employers you would be looking for employment by the end of the commentary of stupidity, maybe with the Rev "Race Baiter" Sharpton or Rev “Race Hustler” Jackson. Your limited skill would probably be a better fit in that scam field than sports.
Knowing the liberal media bias and desire for more race myths to propagandize you will probably keep you position and I will just have to find a non-racist network to get sports information in the future.

Parker only believes MLK´s "content of one´s character and not the color of one´s skin" on MLK´s birthday. The rest of the year, Parker is fomenting and then cementing racial hatred of white´s and other black people who do not play the racist game.

Stupid is bone deep and Parker is just eaten up with it. Fire him and never allow him to be on TV again or even write for a newspaper. Words and beliefs have consequences.

I´m not a Redskin fan by a long shot but this guy has really energized the fan base. It´s not just the fact he could be a republican, but that he speaks up for God.If you don´t tow the black line, you´re cooked. This movie with the N word used over a 100times is a disgrace also but it´s getting leftist acclaim.

What a shame it is that RGIII doesn´t act like a ghetto thug. Therefore he must be attacked for his many admirable traits because he´s making the typical dolt look bad. Yeah right! Crawl back under your rock Parker. And please stay there !

The Democratic Party promotes racism, and at the same time, has the gall to charge repeatedly that the Republicans are racist. As far as I´m concerned, an individual is and individual, and when he tags himself with a race or any type of "ism", that shrinks him.

But I would risk supporting RG3 to represent me as my representative or senator or president based upon his values and how he has handled this instance.

We need desperately blacks like RG3 in political leadership. Imagine how differently race relations would be today if a RG3 clone would have been elected in 2008 instead of the racist tyrant we have now.

Before the suspension I wrote to ESPN and received the following response:

"Hello, Thanks for contacting us. ESPN First Take is a debate oriented show that focuses on current and often controversial topics in sports. Our analysts are hired to share their opinions based on past experience and knowledge and we understand that not everyone will agree with their perspectives. We do value your input and your comments will be shared with our producers.

I had compared Mr. Parker´s statements and ESPN´s non-reaction with Rush Limbaugh´s "Donovan McNabb" statement and his subsequent firing by ESPN.

I asked for Mr. Parker´s firing to show that they show no favoritism.

Looks like they suspended him instead. This to me shows they are indeed playing favorites. Big surprise there.

I know nothing about RGlll, except the name shows he comes from a line of two proud fathers, that named their sons after themselves .
Evidently they were good role models, making their son and grandson a thinking indivual, not just someone that wants to be defined by something that happened hundreds of years ago.
This is what our country needs and what AA children need. Instead we get hundreds of years of "playing the card".
The ones that play the card, cannot stand the ones that do not fall in line.

Two days after a shocking defeat, liberals are still grousing about the Senate spiking the nomination of former NAACP Legal Fund Director Debo Adegbile to be head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. What really burns them up is not just that Republicans successfully filibustered one of President Obama’s choices for a government post but that six Democrats joined with them. But rather than take responsibility for putting forward a controversial figure who was sure to provoke bitter opposition from both sides of the aisle, liberals are reverting to form by blaming their defeat on conservative demagoguery and racism. WASHINGTON — In late December, President Barack Obama´s new legislative affairs team sent him more than a dozen recommendations for ways to improve his strained relations with Capitol Hill. The president responded with a few ideas of his own, including a request for more social events with lawmakers at the White House. One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Democratic Party owes its success in the last two presidential elections almost entirely to overwhelming support among the very young, which has overcome continued conservatism among older voters. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey
