I think a better term for the pubs who investigate the last campaign would be CYA mode. They won´t admit that moderate leanings lost the election again. It will be up to Heritage to do the job. And from their history, I would say they are up to the challenge.

The alleged fraud, which was marginal and in R controlled states, is a feel good canard to avoid confronting reality. Romney was a feckless and inept candidate who stood for nothing. His most distinguishing attribute was that he reminded voters of buffoon Bush, sans fractured English.

Heritage should be looking into voter fraud by the dems.

The dems won the 2012 due to tons of fraud.....To combat massive fraud it will probably be necessary to go back to paper ballots and proof for absentee, guaranteed servicemen´s ballots to be completed with no excuse, no early voting. NO REGISTERING to vote on election day!
Then, we might have a more balanced election.
Voter fraud Needs to be controlled and those who participate in fraud indicted and convicted. This includes the ones who encouraged the fraud.

Senator DeMint is someone who truly stands up for what he believes, hardly full of himself. Without him and his group we wouldn´t have Rubio (for one example) in the senate. The Senate Conservatives were in response to the Republican leadership trying to force Charlie Crist down our throats.

"Amateurish" is too kind a description. "Terminally naive" might fit better. No wait, they´re already trying to get the circular firing squad in place for 2016. "Terminally stupid" fits best.

I´m with #8, too. What a disappointment DeMint has turned out to be, by leaving the Senate and now this.

I will get stoned for this, but it was more like - not hip or slick enough, which was proven by his deer in the headlights utter surprise at losing as though he had not considered the possibility - that revealed a telling lack of realism.

You don´t seem to understand the new dynamic, #12. People who stand up for what they believe are now defined as ´self-righteous purists´, ´my-way-or-the-highway´ types, ´childish whiners´, and idiots who don´t understand that, while it´s okay in theory to have principles, sometimes we have to be pragmatic and put them aside. They are, after all, only principles.

I think it´s time to begin ragging on (former) fellow Senators. DeMint has placed himself in the perfect position to begin targeting the RINOs and the weaklings among the conservative crowd and I suspect that a few of them are mildly unnerved about DeMint working for Heritage. Sarah Palin (another solid conservative) took this same approach when she resigned as governor of Alaska - and she helped wipe the floor with Democrats in the next election.

DeMint has been a solid conservative. I have no complaints about his move to Heritage and I trust his judgement.

I refuse to start whining about DeMint. We have bigger issues to address.

I love articles like this. It brings out the ultra moderates (only economics matter crowd) on Lucianne. It is always good to know how many within the GOP are anti-morality. I will admit the list is growing. My guess is that when they get enough personal wealth they will then join Crist.

I wish someone would audit the D___ budget. We spent $2 trillion in 2000, but now can´t get by for $5 trillion.

The Republicans have become the Whig Party. They have a brand that is beyond repair, and is controlled by big money establishment types who are out of touch with the electorate. How else do you get the Bushes, Dole, McCain and Romney?

Some fundamental changes must be made, and the Republican Clubbers aren´t up to the job.


The takers must not run the show. Either everyone pays taxes, or only the taxpayers get a voice in how taxes are to be spent. No more voting yourself someone else´s money.

The election fraud must stop. No more of the moronic arguments that minority votes will be suppressed if they can´t cheat.

No more talk of compromising our principles. (How about if we compromise and just kill half the Jews?)
