Queen Hillary and Her Courtiers
Washington Free Beacon, by Matthew Continetti

Original Article

More than a month remains until President Barack Obama’s corporate-financed second inaugural, but he is already yesterday’s news. There are political battles to be fought and budgets to pass (or not pass) and most likely wars to wage and natural disasters to endure before the country elects its next president. But all of this is a sideshow to the chatterers and scribblers who are busy currying favor with the liberal establishment. The real story, we learn from our newspapers and magazines and blogs and television specials, is whether the current secretary of state will run for president in 2016.

People are looking at Clinton in 2016,only because obama´s so bad and that´s within the dems.

Take the vote to topple the unions in Mich. This would never have happened without Obama getting elected and the 2010 backlash. The people being affected by this probably voted for Obama over 90% both times.Obama never supported the Wisconsin unions when that flap went on but unions still kneel and bow to his every wish.

Obama doesn´t want to admit there´s a fiscal cliff because that would send alarm bells off among his supporters who want more gifts from the government. The meager tax increase he wants is symbolic to make these people think Obama´s getting even for them. When the money disappears in the government black hole, they´ll wonder where their check got to.

I guess Hillary represents some sense of stability to these people, reflecting off the job Bubba did and they want to relive those years.I never dreamed there´d be a worse president than Clinton but of course I never saw obama coming.

If she loses the presidency or the nomination, she will sojourn on, in "no ways tarred" forever, running again and again, like a candidate I recall from years back, one Lars "America First" Daley. She will be Hillary! "America Last" Clinton.

The simple fact is that there is money in sycophancy.

Kissing her ample behind now helps one secure a place (a PAID place, that is) on any future campaign. If she decides not to run, it´s a resume builder for a place on any other Democratic campaign ("I worked with Hillary").

These people promote themselves by promoting Hillary.

Hillary´s fan base must be blocking out the bad memories of how Obama beat her soundly in the 2008 primary races. Her campaign was managed by staffer Maggie Williams and others who had zero campaign experience at the national level.

My bet is that she wants to run her own foundation with minimum heavy lifting, just like Bill does. Most of all she wants to be a grandmother, based on what I´ve read.

Those who long for the prosperity of the Clinton years would do well to take notice of the fact that the bent one presided over a ´dot-com´ boom nicely laid over a real estate boom. Since then the golden goose of private prosperity has been demonized and regulated and taxed and it practitioners are rendering the kind of spirited competition and genius that occurs in in motor sports when the ´Safety Car´ remains on the track for the entire race. Entrepreneurs love a challenge but hate a ´fix´.

The dot.com revolution made him look like an economic genius and he was lucky to have few international events with which to deal. Since dims are unintelligible it´s hard to know what they miss--moderate politics? Sex with an intern? Serial sexual harassment? James Carville?

Hardly anyone understands why Harold Stassen ran for president on so many occasions. First of all he never ran against an incumbent Republican. But most importantly, he was in an international business and being a presidential candidate gave him prestige overseas, even though many people laughed at him here. However, Stassen had the last laugh as his presidential campaigns made him tons of money.

The award of the Public Service prize to the Washington Post and the Guardian for serving as a mouthpiece for Edward Snowden is an attempt by the journalistic establishment to put its stamp of approval on the actions of one of the most destructive traitors in U.S. history—a former NSA contractor who has done

A Texas man was sentenced yesterday to 18 months in state prison for urinating on the Alamo. Daniel Athens, a 23-year-old El Paso resident, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a criminal mischief charge in connection with the April 2012 incident at the Texas shrine. While Athens could have faced a maximum of two years in custody, a plea deal saved him up to six months in custody. Athens was also ordered to pay $4000 in restitution by District Judge Ray Olivarri. Since Athens is not eligible for parole, he will have to serve the entirety of his 18-month sentence. As detailed

When I first started hearing people on the political left describe themselves with some frequency as progressive back in the 1990s, the term did not seem tethered to the epoch-defining, early-20th-century spasm of moral crusading and government centralization that helped give us everything from trust busting to Prohibition to the Federal Reserve. As articulated by champions like Ralph Nader and Molly Ivins, the progressive label was both a way to get out from under the generation-old baggage of liberal-a term Ronald Reagan and others had turned into an epithet-and to differentiate lefties from seemingly apologetic triangulators like Bill Clinton and

For political junkies desperate for clues to the hottest House, Senate and governors’ races around the country, April is the cruelest month. While Illinois and Texas primaries were held last month, the 48 remaining state contests don’t start up again for three weeks. Here’s the good news for those of us hoping to determine whether Democrats or Republicans will be celebrating in the fall: From early May to early September, we’ll have a steady stream of conventions, primaries and runoffs to keep us busy. We’ve already learned a little from the first two contests. On March 4, Texas told us two contradictory

Bad as Obama’s poll numbers are, they bode worse for Congressional Democrats. Obama is being buoyed by continued strong support from Democrat voters. The problem for Congressional Democrats is that November’s election outcome will not be determined in Democrat strongholds. Recent Quinnipiac polling data (released April 2, of 1,578 registered voters nationwide, with a MOE of +/-2.5%) showed the president with a deeply negative rating on his handling of the economy: 40% approval and 55% disapproval. The Supreme Court has made pretty clear that putting your money where your mouth is deserves broad protection as a form of free political speech. The justices are about to consider whether outright lying in a campaign deserves a similar First Amendment shield. The court’s recent decisions easing the flow of generous campaign contributions already shifted the electoral landscape. If the court finds that even the most patently outrageous statements about candidates may not be barred by law, those two decisions combined could expand the rhetorical battlefield of the midterm elections and raise the attack ad volume as never before. As soon as the photograph of Soviet propaganda posters in Jay Carney’s kitchen hit the Internet, right-wing pundits began to draw conclusions about White House Press Secretary’s ideology, morals, and political leanings. If that were so, the meals in Carney’s kitchen would also probably match the menu of the place and time of the posters. His family would be living on a diet of beets, gruel, occasional rat, and thinly sliced boiled jackboots, which

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion.
