Russia Honors Lenin As U.S. Disses Reagan

| Legacies: Wonders never cease in the Obama era. "Post Communist" Russia is preserving Lenin´s Tomb, while the educational institution most associated with Reaganomics is set to demolish Ronald Reagan´s boyhood home. Ex-KGB officer and "elected" Russian President Vladimir Putin wants the body of Vladimir Lenin, the murderous founder of the Soviet state, preserved in its place of honor in Red Square. Addressing supporters this week, Putin even compared Lenin´s bones to the treasured relics of Russian saints. Communism was responsible for more genocide in the

Comments: The Godless Humanists in American society, the Democrat Party and the Democrat Media Complex completely relate to the likes of Lenin as he is just ONE of their Multitude of Godless Humanist Idols. The Democrat Party was completely taken over by the McGovern voters and veered further left.

You are never dead enough to satisfy the haters of the left. They want to demolish every possible reminder of your life, and add insult to injury whenever they can. I won´t be surprised if they line the site with port-a-potties. Somewhere Reagan would be smiling and saying, "There you go again."

´A pretty shameful day for Washington," President Obama called it, with "pretty" being the only remnant of his famous cool. In the Rose Garden, he blamed the failure of gun control in the Senate Wednesday on three causes: "The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill." The Senators who voted against it are cowardly and had "no coherent arguments as to why we wouldn´t do this. It came down to politics." And finally "a minority was able to block it from moving forward" through "this continuing distortion of Senate rules."

The FBI held a dramatic press conference today where they released video and images of two ´armed and extremely dangerous´ suspects they want to speak to in connection with Monday´s deadly Boston marathon bombing which killed three people and injured over 180. Shown to the media at the Sheraton hotel in Boston, the blurry images show the as-yet unidentified men at the scene of both bomb blasts along the finishing line of the race on Boylston Street moments before the detonations. Designated by FBI Special Agent Richard DesLaurier as ´suspect one´ and suspect two´ - suspect one is

Safety is one of the most potent defenses of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that imposed a national policy of abortion on demand. Women had abortions even before it was legal to do so, the argument goes, but restrictive laws forced them to go to back-alley quacks. In this view, the story of Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist on trial for the murders of one woman and seven infants, is a cautionary tale about illegal, not legal, abortion. The facts tell a different story. Back-alley abortion was indisputably a problem before Roe.

War On Terror: Could it be happening again? Could a Saudi terror cell be behind another major U.S. attack? And could the Saudi government be trying to sink the investigation? After 9/11, the Saudi ambassador demanded the evacuation of dozens of Saudi nationals, including bin Laden kin, before the FBI could properly question them. He got his wish, even though 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and others had ties to the plot. Eerily similar high-level intervention is taking place in the Boston bombings case. Consider this timeline:

Benghazi: As new whistle-blowers emerge and Congress tells CIA staffers to lawyer up, a grieving father demands to know how and why his son died and why no one in the administration wants to talk to him. As long as we´re on the subject of finding the terrorists responsible for killing U.S. citizens on American soil, the father of a former Navy SEAL killed in Benghazi last September was on Capitol Hill Wednesday to urge support of a special committee to investigate the attacks. Hypocrisy: After Rep. Gabby Giffords was shot, President Obama called for "more civility in our public discourse." Now, after losing a Senate vote, he uncivilly calls his political foes willful liars — with Giffords at his side. When the bully pulpit is used to call for a new civility in politics after a high-profile event, such as the murder of a judge and shooting of a lawmaker, as happened in Tucson in early 2011, the president himself becomes the standard against which politicians are measured. "We should be civil," Obama said at the Tucson memorial service,

BREAKING NEWS: The FBI has identified two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing, releasing photos and video showing them and asking the public to help locate them. The suspects, both of whom wore a backwards white ballcap and the other who wore a dark cap, were captured on footage near where one of two explosions killed three and injured 176. "Through the last day or so, we developed a single person of interest," said FBI Special Agent Rick Deslauriers. "Indeed though that process we have identified a second suspect. We believe they are associated."

North Korea has issued a detailed statement on its terms for dialogue with the United States, after weeks of tensions. The demands from the North´s top military body include the withdrawal of all UN sanctions imposed due to Pyongyang´s nuclear and missile tests, and a US pledge not to engage in "nuclear war practice" with the South. It said denuclearisation of the peninsula should begin with the withdrawal of US weapons. Seoul was swift to dismiss the North´s conditions as incomprehensible and illogical. The foreign ministry spokesman Cho Tai-young said:

RUSH: Marco Rubio. I know a lot of people are hammering Senator Rubio, understandably so. People are hammering Senator Rubio because they think the bill wouldn´t go anywhere without a Republican in this Gang of Eight propelling it. There are some who say that this bill wouldn´t have a prayer if, for example, the front man were Senator Schumer -- and therefore, Senator Schumer isn´t. This is Rich Lowry´s theory today in Politico, that Senator Schumer has pulled a masterful maneuver here by securing a Republican to go get what he wants (i.e., in this immigration bill).

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday said passage of tougher gun controls is "inevitable," projecting optimism less than 24 hours after the Senate voted down legislation central to President Obama´s strategy to reduce gun violence. "It´s a matter of time," Pelosi said Thursday during a press briefing in the Capitol. "It might be inconceivable to the NRA that this might happen; it´s inevitable to us." Pelosi did not put a timeline on her prediction but suggested public outrage over the failed Senate effort will eventually force the opponents of tougher gun laws to reconsider.

Yesterday, the most modest of gun control proposals died in the Senate. It would have expanded background checks to people purchasing weapons at gun shows and online sales, enjoyed 90 per cent support among the public and came on the back of the tragedy at Newtown. Yet, despite all that it had going for it, the Toomey-Manchin bill raised just 54 votes--six short of the number necessary for passage. “This is a pretty shameful day for Washington,” said Obama afterwards. It wasn’t exactly a red letter day for him, either. Why did the no-brainer bill fail? Four reasons:

President Obama angrily blamed the defeat Wednesday of his centerpiece gun-control proposal on lies spread by the National Rifle Association, calling it “a pretty shameful day for Washington.” “The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” Mr. Obama said in the White House rose garden about 90 minutes after the vote. “It came down to politics.” As he spoke, Mr. Obama was surrounded by family members of victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. Also with him was former Rep. Gabby Giffords of Arizona, wounded in an assassination attempt.

Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

The Senate delivered a devastating blow to President Obama’s agenda to regulate guns Wednesday by defeating a bipartisan proposal to expand background checks. It failed by a vote of 54 to 46, with 5 Democrats voting against it. Only 4 Republicans supported it. Democratic Sens. Mark Pryor (Ark.), Max Baucus (Mont.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), Mark Begich (Alaska) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) voted against it. Reid supported the measure but voted against it to preserve his ability to bring the measure up again. GOP Sens. John McCain (Ariz.), Susan Collins (Maine), Pat Toomey (Pa.) and Mark Kirk

While the media are bearing the brunt of public skepticism over the handling of the Boston bombing, the behavior of government is also eroding public trust. Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom. Andrew McCarthy of PJM notes that "Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday´s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon," and that part of it is the natural outgrowth of the desire of investigators to keep the details of their investigations secret, so as not to alert suspects.

Mark Kelly, the astronaut husband of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, on Thursday upbraided senators who voted against gun legislation by saying they voted “out of fear.” ”If that vote had been a secret ballot, I bet you it would have passed with 80 votes,” Kelly told reporters. He was referencing the compromise authored by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) to expand background checks for gun buyers. It failed to advance in the Senate, with a vote Wednesday afternoon of 54 to 46.

After all the controversy – it was too much, and too expensive; it would be marred by protests – this morning’s funeral for Lady Thatcher in London was a splendid and memorable affair, which did her memory, and her country, proud. It was a moving, dignified and pitch-perfect occasion: unmistakably British, and a fitting send-off for the country’s greatest post-war prime minister. Big Ben fell silent – for the first time since the funeral of wartime leader Winston Churchill – and tens of thousands of admirers lined the streets to applaud Lady Thatcher’s coffin

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

Washington — President Barack Obama says the Senate’s opposition to a bill that would have expanded background checks for gun buyers marks a “shameful day” in Washington. He says a minority of senators decided “it wasn’t worth it” to protect the nation’s children. Obama spoke in the Rose Garden shortly after the Senate vote rejecting a bipartisan effort to expand federal background checks to more firearms buyers. (Snip) The president pinned the blame for the measures failure, though five Democrats also opposed the plan. He also said the gun lobby and its allies “willfully lied” about background check bill.

Misinformation rather than enlightenment has been the order of the day in the investigation of Monday’s terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon. The anxiety stemming from the attack and the stream of inaccurate news about it is further freighted, moreover, by the FBI’s confirmation that two letters addressed to top political officials — President Obama and Senator Richard Wicker (R., MS) — tested positive for ricin, a deadly poison. As noted below, a man identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Mississippi, has reportedly been arrested in connection with the mailings. Early this afternoon, massive confusion
