Sandra Lee: I have feelings, too
New York Post, by Emily Smith

New York’s first girlfriend, Sandra Lee, stormed out of BG restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman after thinking she heard offensive comments about her “semi-homemade” empire. The Post’s Kirsten Fleming reports that Calvin Klein’s ex Nick Gruber was dining with new boyfriend John Luciano and several friends near the entrance to the cafe Tuesday night when Lee, the longtime girlfriend of Gov. Cuomo, came in to sit near the back of the restaurant with an unidentified male friend. Gruber and others at his table didn’t recognize Lee, whose “Semi-Homemade Cooking” empire spawned a Food Network show, magazine and

Oh my, the "first-girlfriend" of Gov. Coumo---on TV--realty cooking show--that is bad for his political life; divorced Kerry Kennedy and she just lucked out of a DUI even when hitting a truck in the rear after taking ambien.....just cannot support him with his ex-wife and girlfriend always in the news and on TV. Just chasing those dollars with writing all of those cookbooks. Wish they would just go back to Wasilla----oops, New York and get out of the limelight.

Since all the players are Dems everything is just fine, but let a Republican´s name get in the news--------different story!

I´ve seen the show a few times in the past and it´s not really all that bad (and she is a little cutie to be honest). It´s basically about taking stuff you bought from the store and making a few simple changes to make it look (and hopefully taste) better. It´s for people who don´t have the time or desire to cook and lets them do something a little nicer than prepackaged meals.
I do think she needs to grow a thicker skin.
And I do think those twinks were intentionally trying to insult her. It wasn´t acoustics that let her hear them, it was their intentionally LOUD voices.

This woman has created enough hideous table scapes (what she calls the monstrosities that fill a table to match the awful food she cooks) to launch a cruise ship. Now living with Cuomo, her back goes up easily...hey, he´s the NY governor and she´s his arm candy. His daughters apparently also live with them. If this new doyenne wants to be above reproach she ought to think before she acts. The restaurant thing is as phony as she is and her power play is transparent. I don´t think she could cook her way out of a paper bag but I gave her credit for her hard work. That just went bye-bye as she shifted into the real second hand mama and revealer herself as just another whiny and pukey demonRAT.

As I recall his father had a certain presence. This guy has zero. When he showed up on Staten Island, he looked and sounded like a member of the cleanup crew. Well, maybe a supervisor.

This white blonde once made "Kwanzaa Cake" on her show which could have been renamed "Dog´s Dinner." It consisted of a store-bought angel food cake covered with chocolate icing, canned apple pie filling dumped in the hollow center of the cake, with three regular candles, one red, one black and one green, stuck in the cake. Lastly, and to dress it up I suppose, she then dumped acorn meat over the icing. When I first saw it I thought it was a joke. But no. She was getting down with the brothas and sistahs Betty Crocker-style.

Watched her show....once. She always pushes the cocktails and she makes her lasagna with tomato soup....blech

It has been written she has not always lived in a fancy house complete with cooks and bottle washers, butlers. She had family obligations, no money, and many mouths to feed. For this reason, she is cut a little slack from the Texas viewers nick of the woods.
Sandra has done well for herself, pulled out of misfortune, but still on the prowl for easy cooking Personally, McDonalds would be a choice before considering Sandra Lee´s dinner parties.

I give her credit for pulling herself up by the bootstraps, as it were, but somehow she comes across as less Shania Twain (who also raised her siblings, while giving up a shot at stardom) than Scarlett O´Hara (who looked after her family but became a ruthless golddigger in the process). I cannot STAND to watch her. I´d rather watch that hideously awful Nadia chick on the Cooking Channel than her. And that´s saying something. This little episode validates what I think of her.

If you get a chance, read her biography sometime. Yeah, she cooks with Bisquick but the reason is she learned to cook for her siblings using the limited supplies available to her. Instead of wallowing in self pity, she tried to make meals interesting and festive. There are MILLIONS of Americans struggling right now that could learn a lot from her and her spirit. Count me as one of her fans.

#33 -- While I admire her tenacity and the fact that she came from nothing...she didn´t work her way into "striking it rich." As I understand it, her first husband was a multi-millionaire, and he helped her catapult her career. Every once in a while she does a recipe I really like...for instance, one that I actually added to my recipe box is her recipe for tangerine teriyaki baby back ribs...they´re actually very good and very easy.

With all that said, she came from nothing but alas, she is a stinkin´, dyed-in-the-wool, liberal...and now can be classified as limousine liberal to boot!

AUGUSTA, Ga.— Bubba Watson has won the Masters for the second time in three years. Watson claimed another green jacket by shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round Sunday, fending off Jordan Spieth’s bid to become the youngest major champion since 1931. The 20-year-old Texan led by two shots heading to the eighth hole, but the tournament changed suddenly. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
