How about banning all violence in movies and on television? If we are going to attack the Bill of Rights, let´s get to the heart of the violence problem! As for older movies that have violence in them, let´s have a big bonfire. There, I´ve solved the problem.

If guns kill people, then I have a safe full of defective guns. Hasn´t a single one of them ever jumped up and fired all by itself.

What could we expect from a blue state where the majority have shown poor judgement on the national as well as local level. Half of them are probably stoned when they vote.

This is what happens when you allow immigration from liberal states. Having fouled their own nests, they seek new pastures. Colorado was a decent state when I was a kid. Bad things happen to good states with the advent of liberalisn.

Actually the damage was done by the "nut" who squeezed the trigger, if he had a less then 10 round magazine, maybe the weapon would not have jammed, with him quickly reloading and doing more damage then he actually did. What government at all levels should be looking for is how to keep "nuts" from beating the government background check process and purchasing guns in the first place.

Hickenlooper won´t do squat. He knows gun control in Colorado is political suicide. We won´t put up with it. He´ll get steamrollered out of office.

1. OK, Gov. Loopy, there are some 24,000 gun laws in the US, but guns are still used illegally in crimes of all descriptions. So, what are the magic words of your new gun law that will stop the criminally violent? Hey, did I just notice a problem the guv missed?

2. Shall not be infringed -- every one of those words has a clear, simple meaning that hasn´t changed in hundreds of years. And neither has the 2nd Amendment, and what it recognizes to be above even the Constitution itself, that is, the inalienable right to effective self-defense.

If you´re going to talk about gun control, Governor, you should at least try to learn a little something about guns. You could start by learning what an "assaiult weapon" really is, not what Dem-lefty know-nothings apply the term to. You might also learn the difference between the rifle (which isn´t designed to penetrate ANYTHING) and the cartridge. But I´m not gonna hold my breath waiting for you to do that.

A friend of mine teaches high school a few miles from columbine. He wishes he could keep a gun locked in his desk. Of course that would never fly. However, he has taken note of everything in his room that could be used as a weapon and has added a few incospicious ones of his own.
