Why Fox News put Karl
Rove back on the air

The Week, by Peter Weber

Original Article

W ell, that was a pretty short exile: A brief 27 days after Fox News reportedly benched Karl Rove (and Dick Morris) for their ill-fated Republican boosterism before and especially during the November election, the GOP strategist once known as "Bush´s brain" was back on the air Monday night, talking about the fiscal cliff with Brett Baier on Special Report. He´s scheduled to appear on Fox´s The O´Reilly Factor on Wednesday. "Gentlemen, welcome back," Baier told Rove and Democratic strategist Joe Trippi at the start of the eight-minute segment. I guess Fox didn´t like having its dirty laundry aired,

Hasn´t the Bush family and its minions done enough damage to the GOP brand???

Let´s be honest people, we finally get Reagan and GHWBush immediately works to undo his legacy and eventually gives us Clinton...

Gingrich snatches back the mantle and the GOP insiders force him out of town and give us Hastert and eventually GWB...who spends more money than LBJ forever tarnishing the concept of Conservative governance...

That gives us McCain...war hero or not, people "eat with their eyes" as an old chef friend of mine used to say...And what did the Rove´s of the world give us??? A 70+ year old, pastey white, partial crippled, miserable cuss and put him against Denzel Washington...

Then a wounded Obama comes up for re-election and how does Rove and the wizards of the GOP respond??? Not by nominating a young, energetic rising start like Rubio (it´s not his time of course) but by nominating ANOTHER moderate to liberal Northeast RINO and they wonder why 4 million voters stayed home...

I am convinced that the Bush family wants a perpetual GOP minority...because we can then always be the voice in the wilderness crying for fiscal responsibility all the while burying our heads in the same pork barrel at the Dems who give it to us...

Sick

I like Karl Rove. I don´t think anyone should be fired for having an opinion that turned out to be wrong. An awful lot of people voted for Romney and I hope we are not all being shunned. Rove is a gentleman, mild mannered and erudite. I respect his opinions and don´t require him to always be right.

What #8 said. Rush Limbaugh guaranteed a "landslide" too, so Karl Rove and even Dick Morris weren´t in bad company. BTW, the fallacy of how many "less" people voted for Mitt Romney is getting tedious. He actually got more votes than John McCain, but that won´t stop the narrative, I guess.

I can appreciate Rove for his expertise and knowledge. I don´t always agree but then again I don´t always agree with my husband either. I have heard it on good source that Rove isn´t a very friendly guy off camera. Dick Morris just sounds like Wheezy now from Toy Story. I have to pick and choose very carefully anymore. Haven´t had on Fox News since the election. They have just become another filtered news source.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- The investigation into what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is charging ahead on two fronts: new high-tech tools and good old-fashioned shoe leather. While they scanned the ocean surface for a 26th day Wednesday with planes and ships, the possibility that something sinister may have happened hasn´t been discounted. Malaysian police said Wednesday they have interviewed about 170 people, and will continue questioning families and those who had access to the plane. Officials have always said they were looking at four possibilities: hijacking, sabotage, personal problems and psychological issues. On Monday, a Malaysian government source told CNN that the

Kentucky GOP Sen. WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration is bringing the U.S. closer than it has been in years to granting convicted spy Jonathan Pollard an early release in a high-stakes gamble to advance Mideast peace talks. If Pollard´s freedom leads eventually to a final peace settlement, it could mark a major victory for Secretary of State John Kerry, who has toiled to achieve an agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians after decades of distrust and violence. But if Pollard is freed and the talks fail, it could be a costly embarrassment. Every president since Ronald Reagan has refused to release Jonathan Pollard from prison.

Internet users beware. We are about to surrender our freedom of speech — and, quite possibly, put our national and economic security at risk. Last month, in a move that most people outside the Beltway barely noticed, President Obama announced plans to relinquish U.S. control over the administration of the Internet to a community of “global multi-stakeholders.” Translation? Obama is putting the infrastructure of the Internet up for grabs. And, inevitably, those who do not share America’s core values and respect for freedom will be the first ones to reach for it. A RAND study pours buckets of cold water on the Obama administration’s claims that it has nearly reached 7 million sign-ups for Obamacare. The whole point of Obamacare, supposedly, was to insure the uninsured and bend the cost curve down. Those who had insurance were supposed to be able to keep it. Reality, according to RAND‘s study, is that the Obama administration’s 7 million figure is deceptive.
