We do need fresh voices. Just a thought, what about Gov. Romney? He has half the country´s support, the country knows he´s an astute businessman and he is not an incendiary personality. His calming influence could keep making Obama look like the petty and mean person that he truly is.

Best possible House spokesman for Republicans would be retiring Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier of California. Intelligent, articulate, photogenic, affable, diplomatic, conservative.

Unfortunately Romney was not good at articulating the reasons for his economic beliefs well. Need someone that is strong and who can communicate. Not many candidates. But would really like to see Boehner gone. He´s hopeless. And he´s distroying our side.

Democrats never try to explain the policy goal - they just state it and move on.

Boehner´s letter to Obama is classic example. Hannity was reading it the other day, and while I understood the context, my eyes glazed over quickly as it was just too long, too detailed, and helped Dems.

I think he giving Boehner too much credit. Boehner has a history of leading from behind and doing what is in his best interest.

I sent Mr. Boehner a message at his http://www.speaker.gov/ contact site, reminding him that someone recently said that "the private sector is doing fine."
I wish he would remind the obysmal won of that.

Ted Cruz would stand head and shoulders higher than anyone else and has proven himself when he was Solicitor General for the State of Texas. He knows his subject matter and explains it well. Reid could not bully him. There would be no mumble-jumble or beating around the bush with him. Straight forward speaker.

We need a wartime consiglieri. Right now, even Fredo would be an upgrade.

Do not replace Boehner! Here´s why:

Boehner is not acting alone. No one can do the job if the Republican leadership is unwilling to agree to raising taxes on the rich people in turn for substantial cuts in spending. Firing Boener will just make the Republican side weaker; you do not shoot the leader in the midst of a battle and expect his replacement to do better. It would just precipitate more uncertainty and doubt about Republican leadership.

Keep Boehner and support him; then after the smoke clears, if necessary replace him. But not now!

But instruct him to agree to Obama´s tax increase on the wealthy and then dig in his heels on serious spending cuts- or let the fiscal cliff do its thing. People will see the damage as Obama´s fault.

Johnny "Bourbon Breath" Boehner is a co-opted, bought and paid for stooge for whoever is controlling Obama. They´ve undoubtedly dug up some very disturbing skeletons and Bourbon Johnny is going to dance to their tune.

He offers $800 Billion in higher taxes. He supports obamacare. He is removing conservatives from committees just because they won´t knell before him. He is in secret talks with a criminal named obama.

Boehner is a conservative? No, if he raises taxes, he should be replaced and pronto. Here is why. BO will NEVER agree to any spending cuts now or in the future. People need to get this through their heads.

Therefore, a message needs to be sent that firing Boehner was directly related to him and BO rasing taxes. Draw clear lines for 2014. In 2014, the American people must know that the economy is still tanking and raising taxes, even on people earning 250K plus was just a ruse. Republicans must make it clear that the next tax group to be targeted is the middle class and they are not for raising ANYONE´S taxes as Boehner agreed to do with BO in 2012.

I agree with the general consensus that Boehner has been a disappointment and for the overall good should be replaced. The fact that it doesn´t have to be an elected representative is interesting. I did not know that. My suggestions: Newt, Sarah, Rush, allen.

The spectacle of watching Boehner cut a deal with the devil, a deal which any kindergardener can see will be used to further demonize the Republican brand, especially after the knockout punch of Nov. 6, is driving many of us to a third party position. It´s just too much, the humiliation of being outmaneuvered by a gang of openly dishonest, nitwit socialists, time after time after time after time, learning nothing in the process. Topped off by a seeming willingness to let the GOP be decimated by its enemies in the "media". Too little, too late, whatever Boehner comes up with at this point.

Newt. I´d love to see him and Obama debating a balanced budget. They have to replace a lot more than just Boehner.

#22 - I didn´t know that either. I thought the speaker of the house had to be an elected House member. If something should happen to the Prez and VP, the Speaker would be the Prez. And that could be Rush, Sarah or an unelected individual? I´m scratching my head on that one!!

I must disagree with #15. It is perfectly understandable to shoot a leader who is losing the battle. We played this little game during the primaries and during the last half dozen or so elections; being cajoled into supporting bad to prevent getting worse.
That has been a losing strategy. Even when we win we still get bad.
Why not try a different, uniquely untried strategy? Why dont we throw out bad and get good instead?

I think Newt would be perfect. He knows the job and would do a good job on Obama.

What has Boehner done that makes anyone think he is competent? Has everyone forgotten the cave-ins he manufactured over the last several years. Where are the cuts he was promised? Where are the decreases in the amount of increased spending that was promised? What did he accomplish that has helped the USA? They are nowhere, due to him being an inept Speaker that will roll over at the end of the day and accept anything the anti-American socialists throw at him.

We need Ted Poe as Speaker. He has an abundance of common sense and he is a long-time fighter for normal people. Look up his light bulb youtube video, if you do not know who he is.

Anyone not infected by the washington disease of nospineitis would be better. change them every week and give the press a plethura of real conservatives to attack. bring in the best inspirational conservative speakers on a rotating basis. nothing is getting done but cave ins anyway. why not have a little fun and get some confusion going for the propaganda press ? Dreaming can be fun.
