French PM denounces tax
exiles after Depardieu flight

Agence France-Presse, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 12/12/2012 3:31:16 PM

PARIS - Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on Tuesday denounced wealthy individuals in France fleeing a stinging tax on high incomes as greedy people seeking to "become even richer." Mr Ayrault´s comments came after the country´s leading actor, Gerard Depardieu, took up residence in a tiny village just over the border in Belgium which is a favoured spot for wealthy French nationals avoiding tax. "Those who are seeking exile abroad are not those who are scared of becoming poor," he told reporters after announcing sweeping anti-poverty measures to help those hit by the economic crisis.

Comments:
Not mentioned is top tax rate is now 75% in France.

Leftists everywhere love to call those who don´t want to give mass quantities of their wealth to their governments "greedy." This word must be in some progressive / socialist playbook.

The French Prime Minister ought to forget about the rich who have fled. Their money couln´t run the government for a week. He should be concerned about the rich who will never come to be. Socialist economic policies have salted the economic soil. There will be far fewer people willing to become entrepreneurs. Those are the people who create the businesses, provide the jobs, create the wealth and occasionally become rich. Why would anyone want to risk their capital in a very business unfriendly environment only to find themselves vilified and their gains seized if they are successful. The French socialists will find that eventually they will not be able to seize or redistribute that which is not produced. Ironic that the Russians and Chinese almost never ridicule their newly rich businessmen.

The rich French are leaving France just like rich Californian´s are leaving Calee and fleeing a sinking burning ship like rats. Off to Nevada, Texas, or other places with lower or no state income taxes. Apparently people have limits as to how much in taxes they are willing to pay, then there is a tipping point and they bail out. So all of that hoped for revenue will not appear. Then what? Raise taxes even higher on all the rest of us like state sales taxes, vehicle fees, and professional license renewalls? Thats a drop in the bucket. Of course cutting spending is never an option.

The fundamental fallacy of Leftism is a false understanding of human beings. Leftists do not understand people, including themselves. The reason their grand schemes and projects never work as intended, the reason they end up costing more, causing unintended consequences, and failing to achieve their desired objectives, is that people do not think and behave the way they would have to in order for Leftist fantasy ideology to work.

Leftists, for example, do not understand that it is natural, in fact inevitable, for the majority of normal people to desire to retain control over their own assets - that they will resist to the best of their ability all attempts by the government to take it away from them. This is not necessarily simple greed; even mega-rich philanthropists prefer to choose the objects and organizations of their benevolence. Who ever heard of a plutocrat donating vast sums to the government as a charitable gift? People do not act that way because they know the government wastes money and allocates it unwisely and frequently corruptly.

This foolish French PM can fume and slander tax avoiders all he likes but it will change nothing. Those who can do so will continue to utilize every means at their disposal to retain as much control over their own property as possible. There must be something wrong with the brains of serious Leftists that keeps them from understanding human beings, beginning with themselves. For with occasional happy exceptions, once they have reached a certain age, their illusions and delusions become fixed and unalterable.

Either Ayrault is as stupid as he appears or he is doing what Obama and others have done: class division in preparation for something bigger.

There is a global economic crisis involving more money and more people than we have ever seen before and things WILL fall apart. There´s a clear "us-versus-them" meme being foisted on the peoples of the world where "us" is anyone who is dependent on the governments and "them" is anyone who is not.

The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Climate change is expanding sea ice in Antarctica, a paradoxical finding that appears to be the result of melting glaciers, according to a new study. As freshwater glaciers melt, cold water sinks into the ocean, keeping the sea colder than it would otherwise be. The fresh water is less dense than seawater, so it floats on the top layer of the ocean, which in turn stays cooler. That makes it easier for the seas to freeze again in the Antarctic fall and winter, scientists say. This negative feedback is expected to continue, they added. Sea ice levels
