U.S. Should Consider Automatic
Voter Registration: Holder

Bloomberg, by Phil Mattingly & Steven Komarow

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 12/12/2012 11:33:48 AM

The U.S. should consider automatically registering eligible voters and extending voting hours to counter the November election’s long lines and administrative hurdles, Attorney General Eric Holder said. Holder, speaking today at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, proposed expanding access for voters and overhauling a registration system he called “antiquated.” “It is important for national leaders, academic experts, and members of the public to engage in a frank, thorough and inclusive discussion about how our election systems can be made stronger and more accessible,”

Comments:
What could possibly go wrong? s/o 0bama, Holder and the regime are never-ending in their quest to completely destroy and corrupt the election systems in this country. Then they will reign forever. This last election was a perfect example.

Just think.

One can be registered in every district in every state.

And whether you actually show up at the polls or not your vote will be counted.

Just like now.

My experience in California has pretty much been to walk in and vote, unless you go at rush hour morning or evening.

Still, I´d support keeping the polls open over three days - though WITH requirement for ID, otherwise more open time would just be more fraud.

Also, I´d severely limit absentee ballots, which I presume are more often filled out by party operatives than by voters.

Think about it. We normally have say 40-60% turnout for any given election.
Imagine how many people you could cast ballots for who never show up...?

Why not let them also register a permenant vote as well? Just have a box in the registration form that can be checked: "Always Democrat", and have the voting done automatically, for you! Now that´s "progressive!
Let the "voting" be renewed automatically every year, or permanently. Think of the "savings". You could win every time with ´prevotes´. Cancel the election. Obama´s already won! O´h Happy Day!.

Why is the simple act of registering to vote so immensely difficult and chaotic for some people? Are people really this stupid, or is it just the Democrats hoping that they are?

Apparently our esteemed Attorney General does not know the US Consitution.
The registration policies and procedures for voters, the method, manner and location of voting, and the validation of eligible voters are ALL STATE RESPONSIBILITIES.
Other than mandating eligibility to vote at 18 years of age, and the dates of national elections, the US Government HAS NO SAY.
So shaddup, Holder, you racist communist.

On registration the Devil lives in the details.

But leave it up to the states. A national system just means more power is given to Washington. The next step would be federal control of the polling places and of vote counting.

We know what Stalin said about votes. Varying it a little; If you control voting you win the election.

This is one of the most stupid things coming out of this corrupt communists mouth. Voting is a right and as with all rights, there are responsibilities. For voting, those responsibilities are to register, to learn what the issues are, to know where your voting place is and vote. What this donkey and his party wants is simply the vote for their candidate and to have the people as uninformed and irresponsible as possible, for only in that way do they win. So far they are being successful, but they want a fool proof system

Phelps and his Topeka, Kansas-based church made their name by holding anti-gay demonstrations at the funerals of military service members, whom they believed had been killed as god’s punishment for the U.S.’s tolerance of homosexuality. The protests, which often featured signs blaring “God Hates F***s,” were so noxious that bikers began showing up by the hundreds to block them.
