Van Hollen: Boehner will

Washington Examiner, by Paul Bedard

A top Democratic leader Wednesday accused House Speaker John Boehner of stringing out "fiscal cliff" negotiations with President Obama until after he wins his speakership reelection, when he would then cave in to Democratic demands to get a deal done without a majority of House Republican support. "I hope he wouldn´t avoid the tough decisions simply to take us into January and after his swearing-in, but I´ve become increasingly worried that that is exactly what´s going on," charged Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen. "I would hope that he would put the interests of getting an

If that´s true, then he shouldn´t win re-election as Speaker. NO to tax increases. The Democrats are not serious about tackling the spending issues we have.

I replay a historic quote from Alexander the Great to the ancient spartans. When Alexander the great invaded greece, sent a message to Sparta to the effect of "You are advised to submit immediately, for if I win this war, I will destroy your people and all you have." The Spartan reply was "If".

He of course won, but Sparta never surrendered and was left in peace.

Just like gasoline prices, both parties love the high prices, for different reasons. In this case, both parties are (IMHO) looking forward to the brink of disaster quickly looming before our nation. Each side has amazingly ignorant, childish and - well, moronic, suggestions for solutions that are more like catching snowflakes on your tongue as a solution to avoid a bilzzard. It seems to me they both realize this is not going to resolve into anything but a gigantic economic Armageddon and no one can do a thing about it- so the game here is to maneuver for getting the other party to take the blame for it. The nation be damned, the people are no longer relevant. The future is so dark it can no longer be considered.

The left has been very busy telling
the right what Boehner will do.
Specifically to keep the right riled up and the Republican party divided.
Their plan works perfectly because many pundits , radio hosts and posters take the bait and spend time attacking
each other and
Boehner rather than attacking Obama.
ABC had a headline that read Obama says Boehner
" will cave ".
But, in the story , the quotes were much milder like
" agreement and cooperation " rather than cave.
But, cave is specifically used to elicit the result the media wants.
The want the right trashing Boehner
for something he hasn´t done.
They treat the right like a cat does a toy.

What is important to consider is that although Boehner was sent to the House by Ohio, his actions affect every American. As such, we ALL have the right to point out errors in judgement made by Boehner. We control the House, but we do NOT have strong leadership there.

The Justice Department says a 29-foot war memorial cross on a San Diego mountain is not an unconstitutional promotion of Christianity and should remain on federal property. The Obama administration said an appeals court ruling declaring the cross on Mount Soledad a violation of the constitutional separation of church and state undermined an act of Congress and conflicted with recent Supreme Court decisions. But, in a filing Monday to the nation´s highest court, it said an appeal should first be considered by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals because there is no imminent risk that the cross is removed. Two-hundred and thirty-three different birds from 71 species were found over the course of a two-year study. The three main causes of death were: 1. Solar flux: Exposure to temperatures over 800 degrees F. 2. Impact (or blunt force) trauma:
