Obama´s Big Michigan Right-To-Work
Lie: Lower Wages

Investor´s Business Daily, by Staff

Original Article

The president says right-to-work laws mean "the right to work for less money." So how does he explain the fact that incomes are up in RTW states while forced unionism is a proven job killer? Campaigning Monday in Michigan as it stood poised to become the nation´s 24th right-to-work state, President Obama spoke the exact opposite of the truth to union workers at a Daimler Detroit Diesel plant in the birthplace of organized labor. "What we shouldn´t be doing," he told the small crowd, "is trying to take away your rights to bargain for better wages

Comments:
And here we thought Democrats were pro-choice.

Somebody wake me up when he isn´t lying.

He is a prevarication, surrounded with deception, enveloped in fraud and all based upon a lie.

There is no truth around him ...

... could not be further from the truth.

So help me God.

Something you will not see or hear him saying when next he is sworn in.

Not in real time, you won´t.

What we need is some very important Senator to get up on the floor and call out the president, in bold and unforgiving fashion, and call Obama - if not to his face, at least in his presence and with the cameras rolling - a BoldFaced Liar. After of course, having checked and double checked the facts and then memorizing those facts. The media will swarm the president in a protective cloak, but lo, perhaps one timid weaselly reporter will slither over to that Senator to accuse him of casting aspersions toward the monarchy. At which point he rattles off point by point facts and truths that become part of the news flow.
That´s how it plays out in my fantasy skit, anyways.

But He looks and sounds so good when He lies.

At this rate, His Majesty will soon be calling for "the rich" to be handcuffed and marched to the public square, where they will be given the choice of renouncing "greed" and submitting to the Gospel of Fairness (According To Marx), and having their heads placed in the guillotine. It would be a fitting spectacle, in this reign of bread and circuses.

The unions should be using dues money to shore up their underwater pensions, instead they dump it in the dems protection racket.

It´s not only unions in the north that will see jobs go,Obamacare mandates will chase employers to low tax,Obamacare opt out states.
It´s absolute insanity to elect any form of liberal to fix an economy.Obama kills jobs by the millions, then wants to borrow trillions to create a handful of phony government make work ones. The middle men in the operation are the real bandits.

OP, good point. Women can be pro-choice about killing babies in utero but no one is permitted a choice of belonging to a union or not.

Pointing out liberal hypocrisy is useless to the last couple generations of non-analytical thinkers. They´re ignorant. The MSM, by contrast, has no excuse -- they´re deliberately obfuscating or withholding.

Obama´s feeling pretty cocky these days. Knows he´s now got 4 years to finish the dismantling. Knows the MSM will exalt him, cover for him when needed. So the lies get more brazen, the Mussolini uplifted nose gets lifted higher, haughtier.

And these speeches no longer sound like they´re just more campaigning. No, they´re a call to arms for his storm troopers. He´s really their commander in chief and he´s signaling them that it´s time to take the hill, take out those corporations and those evil white, rich people who have been oppressing them. Go ahead, he´s saying, take what´s theirs because under my command, it will be yours.

Isn´t America about the "freedom" to chose???

So why shouldn´t a worker have the "right" to chose to join a union or not....

Seems simple to me.....

Police and Firefighters should be exempt since they are our first line of defense and deserve every consideration... I understand Michigan´s law exempts police and firefighters...

The union members are being duped not only by the Democrats but by their own union management. I remember very well the Post Cereal strike in Battle Creek Michigan. They went out for about 8 weeks. Their union masters literally were driving by in limos waving to the sign carriers. They finally went back to work with a pay cut. Tell me again how right to work will cause lower wages. Moving the company to China has the same effect.

They can get drunk and high on pot at lunch and don´t have to worry about getting fired, while the consumers of the vehicles put their children in these vehicles. The moral of this story is don´t buy a Chrysler product or for that matter a vehicles made in Michigan run by the UAW.

Even if it were true (which it isn´t), I would much rather have a job with a lower wage than never have a chance to work at all. Unions tend to make jobs an exclusive club and a lot of times it is like the paradox of having to have experience to get a job but needing a job to get experience. Same goes for unions. You need to be in a union to get the job but you need the job to be in the union.

At any rate, it is a proven FACT that everyone benefits from a free market. Any kinds of artificial controls always creates higher costs and less reward for the effort put in.
