Washington - President Barack Obama says the U.S. now recognizes Syria´s main opposition group as the "legitimate representative" of the country´s people. Obama says the Syrian Opposition Council is now "inclusive enough" to be granted greater legitimacy in the international community. The president says that level of recognition comes with responsibility, including making sure the group organizes itself effectively and is committed to a political transition that respects the rights of women and minorities. The move paves the way for greater U.S. support as the group seeks the ouster of Syrian

I try very hard never to say anything negative about a person however...:WHAT AN IDIOT!!!! Does anyone in Washington have any idea what they are doing? Supporting our enemies is not good diplomacy. This is one case in which we should stay out of the internal affairs of a country. There isn´t a good guy or a bad guy...just two groups of people, one of wheich (the rebels) will wipe out any (Christian, Jews or secular Muslem) who don´t believe the same way they do. Obama and his administration are just making another mess in the Middle East.

FTA: "The move paves the way for greater U.S. support as the group seeks the ouster of Syrian President Bashar Assad."

Let´s try to connect the dots from today. PIAPS claimed she was too sick [stomach flu] to go to Middle East and sends someone else. Many here [including myself] smell a dRATS.

We just said that we are going to send 20 F-16´s previously promised by 0bama to the Syrian Air Force [Assad's] that has 200 already. Bambi can´t possibly want to make jobs here in Texas.

Now, he says that he is backing the "Syrian Opposition Council," which is made up of fragmented "rebels." Yesterday, 0bama was saying he was opposed to sending in troops or supplying arms to "rebels." "Rebels" could easily be al Qaeda or similar terrorist organizations.

PIAPS must have wanted to protect her resume for future 2016 White House bid. [This has me confused].

Obama´s recognition of the main opposition group means:

1. He cannot send US troops into Syra to seize WMDs without providing recognition.

2. Or, Obama intends to annouce that we are going to war in Syria just an hour or two before flying off to his 3 week vacation. He will simply tell Congress to "deal with it".
3. Or, this main group is being pushed aside by al-Qaeda and Obama is trying to save them. Or, at least pretend that he tried to keep Syrian from becoming an al-Qaeda terror state.

If I may say one more thing. Researching this confusing "0bama recognition" gave up this from McClatchy Newspapers from yesterday which is why announcement doesn´t make sense:

"Washington - The State Department said Monday that the Syrian rebel movement´s Nusra Front is just another name for al Qaida in Iraq, an acknowledgment that the uprising to topple President Bashar Assad is led in part by foreign Islamist extremists who fought U.S. troops for years in the bloody Iraq war. U.S. officials said they would amend this week their 2004 designation of al Qaida in Iraq as a terrorist group to include Nusra among the group’s aliases, handing the terrorist label to an Islamist organization that is responsible for many of the rebels’ recent advances against pro-Assad forces."

This is, to say the least, an interesting approach to international relations. Sometimes it seems like The Onion is writing the headlines these days. Could it all, i.e. the whole Obama routine, actually be one vast practical joke? Have a gang of comedians somehow got themselves elected in order to play a humongous prank on the American people? If so, the joke has gone on long enough. It´s time for them to come clean and admit they have been just kidding all along. The joke will be on us for thinking they were serious.

Maybe Zippy is trying to start a conflagration to mask or mitigate the financial disaster he has caused in the past four years.

Yesterday the new Syria alliance told local news that the US was next, after Syria.... Many are already here.

Syria is Pooty Poot´s red line on the American-Arab Spring invasions. Obozo is starting WW3.... and he´s going at it with The Muslim Brotherhood as our only true ally.... vs Russia, China, India, Iran & God knows who else.

The EU & UK will attempt to remain impartial; France may in but I doubt it means much.

A violent ex-con has been charged with multiple counts in the road rage shooting death of a 21-year-old female Georgia college student. Sparkles Lindsay, 22, followed Kimberly Kilgore, 21, into her gated apartment complex last year and shot her to death while her best friend sat in the passenger seat and watched in horror, police say. Ms Lindsay faces a charge of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
