| The 2012 White House “Holiday” card spotlights the Obama’s family Portuguese water dog — instead of Christmas. (Snip) The black and white illustration was designed by Iowa artist Larassa Kabel and shows Bo the dog, wearing a scarf, while frolicking in the snow on the South Lawn of a blurred White House. The inside of the card reportedly reads, ”This season, may your home be filled with family, friends, and the joy of the holidays.” The card is signed by the entire First Family — along with Bo’s paw print. Vanity Fair deemed this year’s Obama ‘Holiday’

Of course. What did we expect? Muslims do not observe Christmas so the Muslim-in-Chief shows his contempt for the Christian celebration by putting on his TAXPAYED card, what Muslims consider one of the lowlier animals.
FAUGH! TRIPLE FAUGH! In the words of that king, "Will no one rid me (us) of this meddlesome priest (Muslim)?"

You can check out White House cards sent out over the years on google. They have been ´holiday cards´, not Christmas cards, for years. Most of those from recent Presidents are not overtly Christmas at all, but scenic views of the WH or a room in the WH. In particular check out GWB´s 2005 card- his 2 scotties romping in the snow in front of the WH with no mention of Christmas in the Holiday greetings message, same as Obamas this year. It is not only Christmas celebrated at this time of year and all recent Presidents have been sensitive to that.

#14- NO President in years has put the word ´Christmas" in their card message. It has been a ´Holiday´ message on their cards for the last many Presidents. In fact in 2005 GWB had his dogs on the Bush´s WHouse card just like this year´s card with a ´Holiday´ greeting. So it´s not a Muslim thing.

It´s time to retract the national holiday status of Christmas. Forget about the mandatory shopping, partying, and feasting. Just go to work as you did on the 24th and as you will on the 26th. Meanwhile us Christians will do as we´ve always done in hostile surroundings: hunker down in a cozy place, give each other gifts that communicate love, say some prayers to our gracious God, sing some songs to acknowledge his glory and let the obscene world we are required to live in go on its merry destructive, immoral, unloving, resentful and sad way.

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

President Obama is eager to build public support for his health care overhaul in the few months remaining before its implementation, but waning enthusiasm from Democrats threatens his effort right out of the gate. Two-thirds of Democrats now believe Obama´s health care reforms will either hurt them personally or have no effect on their daily lives, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows. In comparison, just 27 percent of Democratic respondents said the reforms would help them. The president has long struggled to convince independent and Republican-leaning voters that his health care blueprint would lower premiums and expand insurance coverage.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
