Groups push Raul Grijalva
for Interior Secretary spot

Arizona Daily Star [Tucson,AZ], by Becky Pallack

Original Article

Posted By:Fiesta del sol, 12/11/2012 8:45:54 AM

A coalition of 238 environmental, ethnic and other groups sent a letter to President Obama Monday recommending Rep. Raúl Grijalva as the next interior secretary. Additionally, a petition on WhiteHouse.gov urging Obama to appoint Grijalva to the post had 1,474 signatures as of Monday afternoon. Grijalva,, who was considered a leading contender for the post four years ago, when Ken Salazar was appointed, could not be reached for comment. He is now seen as one of several possible candidates to succeed Salazar, if Salazar steps down, which isn´t definite but is widely expected.

Comments:
Sounds about right. In 2009, the American Socialists announced that he was one of the Congressmen in their caucus.

If this extremist is selected for Interior, it at least provides a special election opportunity for the GOP. Advance warning - don´t answer any abortion questions other than to say that its between a woman and her care giver.

Let´s hope Kerry and other Dim senators and congressmen get selected for cabinet positions. Rather have a RINO like Scott Brown who at least votes with Repubs 48% of time rather than 0%.

Finally, when will there be a petition to appoint Sandra Fluke assistant legal counsel for HHS? We know its coming. Perhaps she´ll replace Mrs Petraeus at the Fed.

Does Obie choose Cabinet secretaries via petitions at whitehouse.gov?

This guy is a disaster. But he could easily round up many times 1400+ of his amigos to sign a petition on his behalf.

Ayn Rand saw this coming and it will take collapse to rebuild this country. Get prepared.

Barack Hussein Obama, the Bolshevik at 1600 Road-to-Serfdom, has a proven talent for making everything worse. Salazar´s envirofascism will seem mild once the Grijalva person brings brown social justice to Interior.

This is the frito bandito. He´s the most rabid la raza/mecha thug ever to occupy a seat in congress. He has no redeeming values whatsoever, this is the maggot who told the world not to buy arizona products because he was mad about the immigration law. His loyalty is only to the socialist international and hugo chavez. He has more skeletons in his closet than a mexican halloween. He STINKS - worse than susan rice!!!

Obama should put this Grijalva in charge of immigration law enforcement, because there he could do the most long term damage to the country, isn´t that what Obama´s second term is to be?

The root cause of the problem is the lack of a federal budget. Where is the lease revenue that Interior used to get for oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico, in Alaska, and off the coasts of the left coast? What happened to the grazing rights revenue that used to be collected from lands turned over to mustangs? Are the Brazilians producing oil just south of BP blowout paying any royalties to the US government? If government needed to offset 95 billion each year of Payroll Tax holiday, they would know the answers to these questions.

Grijalva is to the left of Elizabeth Warren. He´s to the left of the planet. He´s a dour, pickled, unkempt, loathsome pile of filth. If he were Interior Secretary he´d try to give the West back to the Indians. The world truly has gone insane.

President Obama´s decision last year to allow young people living in the U.S. illegally to stay and work marked the biggest shift in immigration policy in decades, hailed as a landmark step toward the American dream for a generation of immigrants. On Easter Sunday, Google is honoring the birthday of the late labor organizer Cesar Chavez by placing a Chavez portrait within the middle “o” of the Google logo that appears on the homepage of the popular search engine. While Google frequently decorates its logo to celebrate various holidays and special events, it is unclear why the company chose specifically to honor Chavez’s birthday, instead of Easter Sunday. Chavez co-founded the organization now known as the United Farm Workers union (UFW). He became an iconic figure in the labor movement, with his stature only increasing since his death

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped.
