According to the 20th amendment, the president is to be sworn in on the 20th of January. So why is he being sworn in in secret on the 20th and publicly on the 21st? Why isn´t January 20th the public and only swearing in ?

He will use a Koran if he does anything at all. I believe Justice Roberts was blackmailed about the last swearing in because it too was on a Koran--so he voted in favor of Obamacare.

Because the 20th is a Sunday and ALL Presidents when Jan. 20th is a Sunday have been sworn in privately on that day with the public swearing in and inauguration on Monday the 21st. ALL Presidents. Look it up.

After all the BS spread to low-information citizens - and the implications of what is only passed by word-of-mouth on the street or in segregated African-American Studies classes are far more ominous than what is said in the presence of cameras & microphones - I have to suspect this secret ceremony is a set-up for a future meme to the effect that Obama isn´t legally bound to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" because that´s not what he said in the official inauguration.

#11 is right. The 20th is a Sunday, therefore the public swearing in is on Monday. The official swearing in can be either Saturday the 19th or Sunday.

#11 is probably correct about Sunday and all past presidents; however, Obama has given us no reason to believe he isn´t trying to pull some deception. My first thought, until reading #11´s comment, was that he doesn´t want Americans to see that he is swearing his oath on a Koran? Would Roberts even agree to Obama using a Koran instead of the Bible?

He will probably replace the Bible with "Rules for Radicals".

Bingo #5... I think he did that the 1st time too... Remember they supposedly flubbed it up so had to make sure it was all legal... They had to use Barry´s real name..and the 20th didn´t fall on a Sunday either.

It seems to me that there is a possibility that it may never happen. I cling to hope, but the secrecy would be to screen that it is a fraud, just as the first and second times were. No Lincoln Bible? Quran? Koran?

#17, YES! I no longer believe the "story" that we got about that weird second swearing in by Justice Roberts the first time around. We are lied to daily!

I have long held the contention that the second swearing-in was because Barack 0bama is not his legal name and needed the re-do to cover that inconvenience. And we would probably find a similar anomaly if we actually found his college records (among other anomalies).

Obama does not want people to see when he swears to shred the Constitution, with his hand on the Koran.
