Hillary’s not so smooth
path to the White House

Hot Air, by Jazz Shaw

The Secretary of State is making all sort of headlines lately, and most of them don’t have much to do with her current job. (A woman with limitless options who is desired by 90% of the Democrats.) The word has hit the streets that Hillary Clinton’s future is pretty much cast in solid gold plated stone. (Snip)I do not like Hillary Clinton. In fact, I pretty much despise her, and have for quite some time. I was angry at her during her time as First Lady when duties involving public policy were essentially handed over to a non-elected

Four years from now is an eternity in politics. A whole other generation of voters will be saying "Who?" to this craven, almost 70 year-old candiate with unwashed hair, poor hygiene, a horrible, documented track record of failure, and a crackling, grating voice.

No, I don´t think so.

No not Hillary, the Democrats will run minority presidential candidates from now on after their success with Barry, Maybe they will run a black woman next time like multi millionairess Susan Rice with investments in Iran, or, don´t laugh, Sheila Jackson Lee.

I agree with Reply #1. Four years from now at 70 Piaps will be too old, too wrinkled, and , who knows, might even be indicted for something by then.

I don´t like HC any more than the person who made the first comment. But I remember one pundit´s comment in 2008, that her nomination / election would mean a continuation of the Bush policies to a greater extent than any other Dim. And I remember in 1954 that the election of Eisenhower made some observe that we had an honorable man in the WH rather than the product of corrupt machine politics.

Ironic that some in 2016 some will tout HC as the candididate who would take us back to better times.

Think it is about time OUR Goldfingers- Adelson, the Koch Bros etc step up and buy Comcast which owns NBC/MSNBC and turn it over to Roger Ailes to help us change the country before the PETUIATE becomes POTUS.
Then we need to get a nominee that is first and foremost not a RINO Harvahd or Yale grad.

Sarah, Cruz, Mario, etc. Any Tea Party favorite.

Could do better then Romney/McCain. Maybe even beat Monica´s Boyfriend´s Wife.

So have several others from both parties. The SCOTUS can´t overturn the 22nd Amendment, it must be repealed by another Amendment passed by both Houses of Congress and ratified by 3/4ths (38) of the States.

The only way this will change is if the DNC changes their fax blasts to the Fourth Estate with Van Jones (yes, I mean THAT Van Jones), et al, then he or whoever the DNC deems will be the next president. It´s not a sure thing that the Democrats will nominate Hillary Clinton in the end, as look what happened last time when Barack Obama showed up out of nowhere. Remember the Democrats need a large black vote to win national elections. So if an Obama clone suddenly shows up and runs against Clinton in the Democrat primaries, and if the Democrats want to win the general election they might be forced to pick the black clone over Clinton to ensure that a big portion of their black base will not feel insulted if Clinton were to knock out their black candidate for the nomination.

The only way to get past that is to nominate Clinton with a black candidate, maybe Michelle Obama as VP on a Clinton ticket. The liberal media would then crow about Clinton winning in 2016 and 2020, with Michelle Obama then keeping the Democrats in the White House through 2024 and 2028.

If that liberal dream were to happen, the resulting progressive agenda would ensure that the USA would be an entirely different country indeed.

Hillary is a liar and incompetent in everything she does. She threw Mubarek under the bus and Mubarek was an American friend who kept the peace for 35 years. It should have been cleat to Hillary that the Muslim Brotherhood would be elecelected in Egypt with +70 of the popular vote. Now the Muslim brotherhood is arming Hamas and may be planning to declare war on Israel. It is going to be a tough summer in Israel.
Hillary should stop planning to run for President in 2016. Hillary should retire, bake cookies and keep an eye on Bill before he exposes himself to a younger Paula Jones.

After seeing this nation elect Obama, I suppose it´s possible that they´d elect Hillary. But she´ll be 70 years old, and looking pretty ragged by then.

But with the MSM covering for her (cattle futures, Whitewater, her Alinsky-ism, the 900 FBI files, Huma Abedin, Benghazi, and so on), anything could happen.

Did anyone hear Ellen Degeneres asking Christina Aguilera about Hillary checking her breasts out? Christina Aguilera claimed to be equally entranced by Hillary.

Other than black women for a black I just don´t see the lady parts voters rallying around an old biddy or a dominant black female wanna be.
From most the posts on L Dot since the election the GOP factions have to reclaim something missing in the courage and cooperation department to even make the first step into retaining freedom.

For conservatives, the story of the Obama years has been the depressing spectacle of Republicans fighting a rearguard action covering their retreat from a Democratic agenda backed by superior numbers. Republicans began the Obama administration with effectively no leverage: Barack Obama in the White House, Nancy Pelosi in the speaker’s chair, and Harry Reid running the Senate. The outcome of that was the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, the worst domestic defeat for the cause of limited government in a generation. The 2010 congressional elections gave Republicans some relief in the form of a House majority empowered to contain

Democrats are going into the 2014 midterm elections with their control of the Senate greatly imperiled and with the prospect of an Obama presidency completely hobbled in its final two years. In response, the president and his party are struggling to come up with a broad economic message that can rebut, or at least deflect, the continued GOP assaults on the president and his new health-care law. Thus far, what they have produced is a smaller, more targeted approach — one that seeks to gin up the enthusiasm that has been lacking in key parts of their base, but that

Obamacare supporters are taking a bit of a victory lap today after yesterday’s administration announcement that six million people have signed up for private plans under the law, equaling the revised projection put out by the Congressional Budget Office after the botched launch of the exchanges last October. It’s a weak cause for celebration, given that success, according to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, was originally "at least" seven million people getting covered under the law by the end of March. And as an Obamacare factoid, the six million sign-ups figure just doesn’t tell us all that much

To chitchat with his fellow democratic leaders of the G-7 this week in Europe, Barack Obama required 900, including a small air force and private army. Given how very little is accomplished at any of these diplomatic gatherings (and in particular this one, which came up with a most mealy-mouthed denunciation of Russia’s invasion of Crimea), the fact that our still-global celebrity president feels the need for an entourage befitting an Ottoman Sultan is a perfect example of government decadence in

Attn: Kosher butchers. You know that contraceptive mandate now before the Supreme Court? Turns out it may affect your freedom to keep kashrut — not to mention your living. At least, that is the opinion of the solicitor general of the United States, Donald Verrilli. He’s arguing the case for the Obama administration. And the claim is that for-profit corporations such as Hobby Lobby have no right to make free-exercise claims under the First Amendment. Justice Samuel Alito raised the issue of kosher and halal slaughterhouses during the oral arguments. It hasn’t generated much press attention, but it made for a fascinating exchange.

All 17 Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee have called on Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) to end the “partisan” investigation into the Benghazi attack “and begin focusing instead on conducting responsible oversight to implement constructive reforms.” The Dems, led by ranking member Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), charged that the probe “has been characterized by wild and unsubstantiated political accusations that turn out to be completely inaccurate.” They proceeded to outline those instances in the five-page letter. “Continuing this reckless pattern of launching wholly unfounded accusations on national television — and racking up more and more Pinocchios in the process —

As part of its plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, the Obama administration is targeting the dairy industry to reduce methane emissions in their operations. This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990. The White House has proposed cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions — which is a very potent greenhouse gas. Some of these methane emissions come from

In an address to the House on Wednesday, Alabama Representative Mo Brooks read aloud a letter sent to him by Dr. Marlin Gill of Decatur. The letter holds nothing back while detailing the excessive costs and regulations that Dr. Gill calls Obamacare’s “war against doctors.” Here is the full text of the letter, courtesy of Rep. Brooks’ office: Dear Congressman Brooks, As a practicing family physician, I plead for help against what I can best characterize as Washington’s war against doctors. The medical profession has never before remotely approached today’s stress, work hours, wasted costs, decreased efficiency, and declining ability to focus on patient

After a disastrous presidential campaign in 2012, can Texas Governor Rick Perry mount a credible bid for the White House in 2016? Texas Governor Rick Perry is currently on a media tour touting the theme that America is a great place for second chances, specifically second chances for Texas governors with national ambitions. Perry is trying to erase the memory of his disastrous 2012 GOP presidential campaign which included “brain-farts” and “oops” debate moments with his folksy, charming, and uniquely American manner. Curious about Perry’s comeback strategy, I asked Texan and GOP presidential media guru, Mark McKinnon and he said,

Las Vegas - Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft former Florida governor Jeb Bush into the 2016 presidential race, courting him and his intimates and starting talks on fundraising strategy. Concerned that the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal has damaged New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s political standing and alarmed by the steady rise of Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), prominent donors, conservative leaders and longtime operatives say they consider Bush the GOP’s brightest hope to win back the White House.

The past couple of weeks have marked a turning point in American ugliness as the mob has turned its full fury on first lady Michelle Obama. From criticism of her trip to China to a recent “tell-all” by former White House assistant press secretary Reid Cherlin in the New Republic about Obama’s allegedly tyrannical behavior, the gloves have been removed. As described, she was a perfectionist — super-attentive to detail and laser-focused on advance planning. And this is bad because? Worse, according to a former (anonymous) staffer, there was no barometer for meeting Obama’s high standards. “The first lady having

Please, try not to let what I’m about to tell you destroy your faith in the integrity of the national Democratic Party. Right now, a crime wave is sweeping the nation, and everyone in this out-of-control mob has a D after their names, even if most of the media are loath to report it. If you are a low-information voter, a Globe subscriber, say, you have been told endlessly that the root of all evil in American politics is the Tea Party, better known in your moonbat media as “teabaggers.” Oddly, however, the hacks rounded up over the last few days, well,

Ann Furedi, of BPAS, said the law does not prevent women from choosing a termination on the grounds of gender and she even compared it to abortion after rape. Mrs Furedi´s comments come weeks after it was disclosed that the CPS had decided not to prosecute two doctors who were exposed by a Daily Telegraph investigation arranging terminations purely because the unborn baby was a girl. A group of 50 MPs, drawn from across the party divide, then wrote to this newspaper warning that the decision was a “step back in the fight for gender equality” and effectively changes the law without

A startling rift appeared Tuesday on the Supreme Court as the three female Justices came out swinging like Brunnhildes — women warriors — for what they erroneously labeled an “entitlement” to employer-provided contraceptives and morning-after pills. The Justices were hearing oral arguments in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a case hyped by the Democratic Party as a test for women’s rights. Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor sprang on Hobby Lobby’s attorney , interrupting his every sentence and pummeling him with questions taken right out of the Democratic Party’s “war on women” playbook. That playbook was laid out in a

A University of Virginia student arrested by Alcoholic Beverage Control agents who wrongly believed she´d illegally bought beer when in fact she only had bottled water is seeking $40 million in a lawsuit filed Tuesday. Elizabeth K. Daly, 21, alleges malicious prosecution, six counts of assault and battery and failure to appropriately train ABC agents in the suit which names the state and seven agents involved in her arrest. (Snip) Daly claimed she attempted to flee from the agents because neither were in uniform, one pulled a gun, and the other tried to smash her car window with a flashlight. ´My

President Obama marveled at the sheer size of the Colosseum during a private sightseeing tour Thursday night in Rome. "This is bigger than some current baseball stadiums," Obama told reporters, noting the size exceeded Wrigley Field in his hometown of Chicago. "I have to check on what it seats. It´s remarkable. Unbelievable." The amphitheatre, located in central Rome, was constructed between 70 and 80 A.D., and was estimated to hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. The Colosseum was home to gladiator battles and animal hunts during the Roman Empire. Obama walked along a platform running through the center of the

President Obama said Pope Francis did not raise Obamacare “in detail” when they met on Thursday, but that in a separate meeting with the Vatican’s secretary of state “we discussed briefly the issue of making sure that conscience and religious freedom was observed in the context of applying the law.” At a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Obama also acknowledged that he differs with the Vatican’s stance on some issues, but added that he “heartily” agrees with most of its positions. During his nearly hour-long papal audience, Obama said Pope Francis “actually did not touch in
