N.J. animal rights activist
fighting state´s attempt to
revoke her firearms card

The Star- Ledger (Newark, NJ), by Joe Moszczynski

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 12/9/2012 9:19:27 AM

SUSSEX COUNTY — A longtime opponent of New Jersey’s annual bear hunt is unfit to own firearms and should undergo a mental health evaluation because of her numerous run-ins involving her anti-hunt activities, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office. Susan Kehoe has been charged seven times with harassment, twice with violating state Fish & Game regulations, once with disorderly conduct, and was convicted of resisting arrest and interfering with state conservation officers, the prosecutor’s office says. "In addition to the formal charges, Ms. Kehoe has been involved in numerous incidents where her behavior is questionable

Comments:
In one of the last remaining sane portions of NJ (ie Sussex County where the third world invasion has yet to engulf) the local authorities have seen fit to to keep guns away from a derranged leftist.
It has become an annual rite in NJ when bear season begins and psychotic "animal rights" leftoids come out of the woodwork to seek the attention they never got from mommy & daddy during their formative years. Many of them are more dangerous than the bears. Liberalism is a mental disease and this ding-bat should be stripped of all firearms.

Well this one´s a no brainer...IF all she wants to do is sell the guns, then sell them and let someone else with a card transport them.
Once again, that´s a big IF.

She doesn´t need the card. As #1 said, just call a dealer and he/she will come and get the firearms. Problem solved. Me thinks this is just another way of this animal rights wacko to get attention. Get a life lady.

I really hate doing this. The Second Amendment says nothing about the rights of looney left PETA types being able to be infringed. It says the right of the people shall not be infringed. I guess that means that unless she is deemed to be certifiably insane or a convicted felon, she, like all the rest of us has the right to bear arms - as much as I disagree with her politics, lifestyle and probably everything else. If the DA can prove that she is about to go off the rails, then have her committed.

I hate to defend the loony left, but unless this person has demonstrated behaviour such as brandishing weapons in a threatening manner, etc., she should not be subjected to this. After all, what happens to the goose can also happen to the gander.

We have a law in Michigan named for some loon( the name escapes me intentionally) such as this one who harrassed hunters by crashing through their hunting grounds banging pots and pans. She got away with it a lot longer than the should have and was lucky there were no ´accidents´.Her actions undoubtedly prevented some ,if not all such nitwittery since. As is the case with most liberals ,her efforts failed but she got to feel superior and powerful while doing it.

Animal lovers prefer a long, horrible, death for the animals they love. They would rather see them eaten alive or die of starvation. Nature is unforgiving. It is a struggle to survive even in good years and the end is usually awful. Our use of tools and information make us the top of the food chain. We should handle that position responsibly. Good hunters know how to do that.

I have to agree with those who oppose this move. While she has done many objectionable things, the only question is whether or not her conviction for resisting arrest in 2010 rises to the level of barring her from getting the permit. She should not be subject to a psychiatric evaluation any more than anyone else. Nothing in any of the incidents indicates that she has a propensity to misuse firearms.

She´s clearly, uhhh, "off-center" mentally.

But #3, #5, and #8 have excellent takes on the real issue[s]. Of course, that leaves a dicey problem of getting a good read on her future behavior on the Wack-a-doo-o-Meter.

Good posts, good thinking. Thanks.

Nope, sorry, tough call: screwballs on both sides here. Yeah, she´s a looney-left nut job, but what part of "shall not be infringed" does New Jersey not understand?

We´re not talking about a concealed carry license here (of course not -- this is New Jersey), but rather the simple right even to possess a firearm. Unless she´s a felon or has been involuntarily committed to a mental hospital, there´s no way the State should forbid her.

++++ Propaganda Alert ! ++++ This does not pass the sniff test; This is a set up by the anti-gun freaks. More likely, a compliant judge will remove her card... therefore setting a precedent to revoking licenses based on whacko claims.

The Obozo WH is also attempting to categorize all retiring military personnel be classified as mentally damaged & therefore unfit to own arms.... this looks like an attempt to justify it.

Barack Obama was once a constitutional law professor, but now views the founding document as irrelevant. The president is ruling by decree, instead of working with a divided Congress. The Founding Fathers would be appalled by the way the current occupant of the White House has usurped power to get his agenda passed. There is nothing to restrain Mr. Obama, now a lame duck, from forcing his liberalism on America. For example, the White House declared Wednesday that it will not go through Congress to create regional “climate hubs” to deal with the supposed crisis of “climate change.” This comes

AS celebrity gossip goes, it takes some beating: actress and model Elizabeth Hurley has a year-long affair with Bill Clinton while he was US president. Throw in the suggestion that they had a liaison in the White House while Hillary Clinton was next door, and that Mr Clinton ended it when he realised he was falling in love, and you have a story that rivals Marilyn Monroe´s alleged fling with John F Kennedy. But when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is, as Ms Hurley pointed out yesterday when she was forced to deny the "ludicrously silly" report

President Obama´s chemical weapons deal with Syria has “improved” Syrian President Bashar Assad´s position, Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged Wednesday. Kerry´s admission comes after Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told Congress last week the deal “adds legitimacy” to the Assad regime, even as it has the potential to eliminate a threat to the U.S. The deal is coming under fire, after Syria blew crucial deadlines in recent weeks, turning over only about 5 percent of its arsenal. The Assad regime has until June 30 to eliminate the program. “It´s fair to say that Assad has improved his position a little

WASHINGTON -- A poll indicated Wednesday that if former U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton runs for president her biggest challenge could come from a more conservative Democrat. While the poll, conducted by CNN, finds Clinton an overwhelming favorite with 70 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independent voters saying they would support her if she mounts a second presidential bid in 2016, the split on the remaining Democrats is surprising. Conventional wisdom has held Clinton´s biggest liability in a potential primary is from the liberal wing of the party, where President Barack Obama found support to defeat her in their historic 2008 primary race. The theme among a bevy of challengers seems to be that Cornyn is a CINO, a conservative in name only. This is not just counter-intuitive but counter-factual. Various ratings — liberal and conservative — have agreed on one thing, Cornyn´s conservative credentials are genuine. Not conservative?
