| Barack Hussein Obama had such a good time reciting the presidential oath of office twice last time, that he´s decided to do it twice twice. What really sticks out from that cold sunny inaugural day in 2009, of course, was the size of Aretha Franklin´s hat, which needed special FAA clearance to ascend Capitol Hill. But many also remember the about-to-be president and the already-Chief Justice of the Supreme Court muffing the oath. [Snip] Well, this time the constitutionally-mandated Jan. 20 date for the old, new president to assume office falls on a Sunday.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts atoned for screwing up the Obama´s first Oath of office by pronouncing the unconstitutional Obama Mandate to buy insurance as constitutional. Pray that he does not screw up the oath this time. Roberts might bless martial law!

Here is comes. I told you there would be another secret inauguration. He´ll once again take the oath in public as Barack Hussein Obama, and in secret under his true legal name. It was a sham the first time, and it is a sham this time too.
Look at Chief Justice Roberts´ resume, count the number of times he has argued cases before the Supreme Court, and then tell me you really believe he forgot to memorize the oath of office for the inauguration. If Roberts had any real guts he would make another "mistake" and accidentally state Obama´s real name in the public ceremony. Oooops!

It´s a good thing this column is available online, so that residents of Memphis, New Orleans and Riverside, California can learn how unsafe their city is without having to venture outside. Those are the bottom three metropolitan areas where residents said they felt least safe walking alone at night in their neighborhood. From the safety of their little work cubicles somewhere, the number gnomes over at the Gallup organization have been accumulating data on perceived human well-being as part of their polling calls on many subjects. From that data comes the 50 most and least safe cities.

From up here, 240 miles above Broadway, New York City can look like a pretty nice place. No traffic. No garbage. No smells. No crime. And no nanny Napoleons issuing edicts over spices, soft drinks and cups. In a swift and strange reversal, Obama administration officials Thursday rushed to play down their own recent announcements of defensive U.S. military movements in response to threats and provocations from North Korea. The hereditary Communist dictatorship of the Kim family that took over the North after World War II has always been quirky, unpredictable and, well, mentally unbalanced by any modern governing standards. Remember how since-demoted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said we´d have to pass the massive ObamaCare health law to find out what´s in it? Well, now three years later that´s happening and a lot of people are not liking what they see. Remember how ObamaCare was going to save you money? Not going to happen. Premiums are going up, some by as much as 100%. And a new study by the nonpartisan Society of Actuaries finds that on average insurers will have to pay 32% more for claims under ObamaCare.

Like many holidays, Easter is often associated with family memories. For me, Easter is associated with the memory of other families. It was 1975 just before Easter. The Vietnam war was ending ignominiously, with President Ford promising full American support right up through the time we left thousands of South Vietnamese sympathizers behind to confront new Communist rulers. Or risk death at sea as desperate boat people. Thanks to a tip from intelligence sources that the end of South Vietnam was near, my news employer had arranged to evacuate its two local Vietnamese interpreters and their extended families to Guam.

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
