Senator Michelle Obama?
Poll Shows First Lady Leads
Incumbent In Hypothetical Race

First Lady Michelle Obama would defeat Republican Sen. Mark Kirk by 11 points in a hypothetical race for his Illinois Senate seat. According to a new poll, Mrs. Obama leads the incumbent senator 51 to 40 percent in a head-to-head match-up. The poll also found that 34% of voters approve of the job Kirk is doing, while 19% disapprove. The senator´s approval number is no match to Michelle Obama´s, however, with 60% of voters viewing the First Lady positively. Nonetheless, Mrs. Obama has said in the past that she is not interested in running for office:

Comments:
Why is there all this speculation about the hateful Mooch. She´ll be busy spending exorbitant amounts of our money for the next four years and after that who knows. I don´t think we are ever going to get rid of those two. The media loves them way too much.

Which part of "She has no desire to work," are we missing? Then again, the Senate hasn´t done any work for four years! She´s perfect for the job.

The only way to get rid of the Obamas when the time comes, is to get rid of the complicit media first. There is no way to do it otherwise.

Michelle MyBelle wouldn´t take the pay cut. The last "didn´t have to show up for work" job she had, at the U of Chicago hospital where her job was to dump patients onto other hospitals´ expense report, paid her $300,000 for little or no work.

A Senator, even when DearLeader(US), had the job, pays only about $175,000 or so. And even then, Obama had to show up to work 150 or so days over the four years he had the gig.

These days, one can say anything and some people will believe it. For instance, if I said that Michelle Obama had a sterling economic credential, you´d have her supporters nominating her for a Nobel Prize the very next day. Today, one doesn´t need evidence to support the position one is taking. There is no need for evidence. Evidence is so old-fashioned.

All that´s needed these days is a ra ra chorus and a smiling candidate with gleaming white teeth. Said candidate could say anything so long as there´s a beat to it.

Reports indicate Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was mirandized by Federal Judge Marianne Bowler against the wishes of investigators who wanted to continue questioning the suspect. As news has come out of Bowler´s actions on April 22, Republican lawmakers have pressed the DOJ to explain "why it didn´t make a stronger bid to resist the judge´s plans." These lawmakers include House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI), who said, "We have a longstanding tradition that the judiciary does not interfere with investigations. This sets a very dangerous precedent."

Although law enforcement was lauded for quickly identifying and neutralizing both suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing last weekend, the FBI has much explaining to do over why now-deceased Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the suspects, managed to slip through the FBI’s fingers after two warnings from Russian intelligence two years ago that Tsarnaev was tied to “radical Islam.” Of particular concern is that around the same time the FBI was informed about Tsarnaev, the Obama administration’s policies handling terrorism relating in any way to Islamic extremists changed. As the country awoke to the news of a massive manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombers in the early morning hours of Friday, April 19, reporters began pressing sources at the FBI and the Justice Department for information on the two attackers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The response, at least to some reporters: We don’t know anything about them. That claim, like so many that followed, wouldn’t hold up. Just five days later it was clear that the U.S. government generally, and the FBI in particular, had known more than a little about Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

During an April 24 address to the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), Attorney General Eric Holder told the crowd that “creating a pathway to earned citizenship” is a critical element of any comprehensive immigration reform plan. He said that establishing legal status for the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants is a “matter of civil and human rights.” “Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential,” Holder said to applause. “The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented by creating a mechanism for

Speaking at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce´s immigration reform summit, McCain (R-Ariz.) said the bill needs the full-throated support of industry to make it to President Obama’s desk. “We need your help. We need you to inform the people you represent. The Boston Globe published a harrowing interview with the man whose vehicle the Tsarnaev brothers commandeered on the night they were trying to flee the police. It is the most extensive version of events yet of how the brothers forced their way into the Mercedes-Benz of the man, who The Globe’s reporter on the story, Eric Moskowitz, identifies as a 26-year old Chinese entrepreneur nicknamed Danny, and it provides a gripping narrative of the 90 minutes that he spent driving the brothers through neighborhoods just before the night ended in a shootout between the brothers and the police.

A bill that would end the Federal Aviation Administration’s furlough on air traffic controllers is now on its way to President Obama to sign. On Friday, the House passed the measure 361-41. On Thursday night, the Senate passed the legislation after most lawmakers had left the Capitol for a weeklong vacation. Earlier this week, lawmakers from both parties urged the Obama administration to postpone or cancel the furlough of air traffic controllers, with some accusing the FAA of playing politics as the cuts contributed to massive delays at airports across the country. The furloughs went into effect Sunday,

White House economist Alan Krueger hailed estimates for economic growth released Friday that showed the economy grew at a rate of 2.5 percent in the first quarter. "While there is more work to be done, this report, together with other economic indicators, provides further evidence that the economy is moving forward in the right direction," Krueger said in a statement. The advance estimate from the Bureau of Economic Analysis is good news, considering it follows the contraction reported by the Commerce Department in the previous quarter.

Michelle Obama did not walk the E!-streamed red carpet before tonight´s White House Correspondents´ Dinner — she was already at home, of course — so our first glimpse of her black Monique Lhuillier gown came later, once dinner started. And damn does she look good. This is a sexier look on her than usual, with a sheer lace panel over her decolletage and a molded bustier-style top. She very wisely chose a dress that photographs well while she´s sitting down, Schiaparelli-style, with elaborate beading along her collarbone and fitted cap sleeves that flatter her arms. Unlike you, federal government officials are immune from charges of fraud. The executive branch, vested with all of the government’s prosecutorial authority and discretion, is not going to investigate its own operatives for carrying out its own mendacious policies. That is the story of last week’s Boston Marathon bombing and the frantic efforts of the bombers, the brothers Tsarnaev, to evade capture, shoot it out with police (two of whom they killed), and — we’re now told — detonate more bombs in Times Square. President Obama´s weekly remarks: Hi, everybody. Our top priority as a nation must be growing the economy, creating good jobs, and rebuilding opportunity for the middle class. But two months ago, Congress allowed a series of automatic budget cuts to fall across the federal government that would do the opposite. In Washington-speak, these cuts were called the “sequester.” It was a bad idea then. And as the country saw this week, it’s a bad idea now. Because of these reckless cuts, there are parents whose kids just got kicked out of Head Start programs scrambling for a solution.

WASHINGTON — Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call. In another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case, officials said. The conversations are significant because, had they been revealed earlier, they might have been enough evidence for the FBI to initiate a more thorough investigation of the Tsarnaev family.
