| Islamofascism: Still intoxicated by their "Arab Spring" fairy tale, the media don´t see a problem with the Muslim Brotherhood´s proposed new constitution for Egypt. Apparently they haven´t read the fine print. ´A quick glimpse at the articles show ... there´s wording that prohibits arbitrary arrest and detention and ensures due process, a sensitive topic in Egypt," CNN reported, approvingly. "Mubarak and his loyalists are blamed for jailing and harshly mistreating innocents" before the uprising. The New York Times also shrugged, noting the Muslim Brotherhood drafters simply preserved the language of the old constitution.

As the Senate debated the merits of an assault-weapons ban, an emotional Dianne Feinstein urged her colleagues to “show some guts” and vote in favor of the measure. “I am really chagrined and concerned. If anybody cares, vote at least to prospectively ban the manufacture, the sale, the importation of military-style assault weapons,” she said in remarks on the Senate floor. Feinstein is the author of the assault-weapons ban, which was defeated earlier today by a margin of 60 to 40.

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House on Wednesday and discussed the conflict in Syria, a spokeswoman said. The meeting was not on Obama´s public schedule. The spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, said the president joined a meeting between the Saudi official and Obama´s national security adviser, Tom Donilon. "The president and Prince Saud al-Faisal reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia and discussed developments in the region, including the conflict in Syria," Hayden said in a statement.

New evidence photographs released on Wednesday from the Boston Marathon bombing reveal in grisly detail the bloody aftermath of the massive blasts which left three dead and nearly 200 injured. In one, close-up image a nail appears to be shown in congealed blood next to part of a zipper from a bag and two ball bearings. Shereef Elnahal is a native of Virginia, a graduate of Harvard Medical School and a first-year internal medicine resident who helped triage explosion victims with ruptured eardrums and major limb injuries on Monday at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. “Most of the traumas were triaged quickly, thankfully, so from a medical standpoint the hysteria didn’t last terribly long,” Elnahal said Wednesday after his night shift. He is shocked and saddened by the tragedy. And like many Muslims, he is also hoping hard that whoever terrorized the Boston Marathon does not share his faith.

Also with him was former Rep. Gabby Giffords of Arizona, wounded in an assassination attempt.

Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks. At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Tuesday, Kelly said he would back an opponent to Flake if the "right candidate" was available and if the senator failed to support a background check bill, according to reports.
