President Obama and the Democrats won last month’s election because they were able to turn out voters who are dependent on the government, former New Hampshire governor and Mitt Romney adviser John H. Sununu said last night. “They aggressively got out the base of their base, the base of their base that’s dependent, to a great extent economically, on government policy and government programs,” Sununu said during a forum with two other Republican former governors, Steve Merrill and Craig Benson, at Concord’s Grappone Conference Center. For example, Sununu said, Democrats ran up big majorities in some parts of Cleveland
Sununu speaks absolute truth. But he forgot that part of the turnout model also included massive fraud - just to make sure votes were counted for all those who intended to vote Democrat, but just could not get to the polls for various reasons such as being dead.
OK but how do we explain Obama winning in places like Iowa and New Hampshire. Those states aren´t known to have large enclaves of government dependent minorities. This past election baffles me to no end.

#4, how many Iowa farmers are dependent on government subsidizing corn/ethanol? The government turns even the most typical hard working Americans into welfare voters.
I find it strange that none of the key figures in the Romney Campaign claim that electoral fraud was a consequential factor in his loss. So when Romney supporters on this site make these claims, they are saying that Mitt Romney and his team are deliberately conspiring to conceal a massive illegal usurpation of political power by fraudulent means. Or they are saying that Team Romney was too stupid or weak to know that the election was stolen and do anything about it. I suspect Romney, Sununu, and the rest actually do understand the truth about what happened--we lost--and are now more interested in understanding why.
Sununu is correct, and many of the liberals I´ve argued with understand this.
But the REAL problem is that they don´t see it as a problem. It´s hard to argue with someone who WANTS government as their nanny. The much harder thing now is to educate people on why this is a bad thing.
Re the case of the RNC having been found guilty of voter fraud, it´s a laughing matter that the REPUBLICANS were found guilty when it´s been the other side doing it since old man Kennedy bought the election for his son, John. And I wondered why nothing had been done about getting that decision overturned. Here´s the rest of the story from fellowshipofminds.wordpress.com: Since 1982, that Consent Decree has been renewed every year by the original judge, Carter appointee District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise, now 88 years old. Long retired, Debevoise comes back yearly for the sole purpose of renewing his 1982 order for another year. (cont.)
(cont.) In 2010, the RNC unsuccessfully appealed “to vacate or modify” the Consent Decree in “Democratic National Committee v Republican National Committee,” Case No. 09-4615 (C.A. 3, Mar. 8, 2012).
This is a summary of the appeals judge’s ruling, filed on March 8, 2012:
In 1982, the Republican National Committee (“RNC”) and the Democratic National Committee (“DNC”) entered into a consent decree (the “Decree” or “Consent Decree”), which is national in scope, limiting the RNC’s ability to engage or assist in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance. The RNC appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey denying, in part, the RNC’s Motion to Vacate or Modify the Consent Decree. Although the District Court declined to vacate the Decree, it did make modifications to the Decree. The RNC argues that the District Court abused its discretion by modifying the Decree as it did and by declining to vacate the Decree. For the following reasons, we will affirm the District Court’s judgment.
Surprise! The judge who denied the RNC’s appeal to “vacate” the 1982 Consent Decree is an Obama appointee, Judge Joseph Greenaway, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Would you believe Judge Greenaway, Jr. is an AF-AM!
Big fan of Sununu, but I think this is terribly misguided. He is correct, the dem base is a bunch of dependent on nanny state radicals. But... the reason we lost this election is CONSERVATIVES STAYED HOME. Romney should have received millions more votes than McCain in ´08, but that didn´t happen. Worry about the dependent class all you want, and that is a legitimate concern, but I am way more concerned about conservatives staying home in protest because they didn´t get the perfect candidate, whatever that means. Sorry guys, but this disaster is on them!
White males had a calamitous fifteen point drop from´08. Who are these people and why did they stay away inspite of the criticality of the election? Why wasn´t Romney able to persuade them? Thats where the answer and the guideline for the future lies.
16 Precincts: Romney 0 votes 125 Precincts: Romney less than 4 votes Many surrounding and in close proximity precincts Romney won. Allen West´s district: 7 registered voters 900 ballots in one precinct. He picked up 132 votes in a 36 hour early voting block, then the Supervisor of Elections slammed the hatch and confirmed the vote, realizing West would win.
Even Mubarak was upset when he learned that his fraudsters who registered too many votes in his favor made the fraud too obvious.
Someone needs to ply the streets asking questions. (probably too dangerous) Maybe a radio host could ask for anonymous verification of Romney votes. Same in 59 Philly precincts; Romney 0 votes.
And there´s a question about whether there was fraud?
If the GOP won´t challenge the vote fraud and they are too timid to make the case for conservatism then it is time for a new party! Why should patriots support loosers and keep on loosing to a traitor like Obama?
Pardon me: Not Mubarak, but Mursi was concerned about too many votes by his fraudsters.
And there are huge questions about the millions who stayed home. There are indications that millions of Romney votes may have been flipped or spiked, a simple script introduced into the machines that count the ballots. Many of those machines are maintained by unions.
#16, exactly why Romney should have won this thing big. Zero received millions less votes than in ´08. All we had to do was unite and vote, but we didn´t. Romney barely bested McCain´s totals. Romney´s a RINO, the GOP shoving another moderate down our throats, Mormon religion, many other excuses.
Conservatives failed and are to blame.
I believe there was massive voter fraud in OH, PA, and FL, but this election shouldn´t have been close. If conservatives united behind Romney, we would have won and saved this nation.
I think we knew all along that our side needed to have a massive turnout in order to overcome what we know about the fraud that is the democrat machine. This year was an exceptional case of that due to early voting, high tech and hijinks. We didn´t do that but I still contend that had a recount been ordered in places like Ohio, Florida, etc , a different result may have obtained. If the ´victory´ had been overturned we would be seeing the total devastation of every blue or light blue city in this country as the Takers sought , as Obama stated, ´revenge´. I just don´t think the Romney team would risk that tactic- in the same way that Nixon didn´t want to ´ tear apart the country´ in 1960.
“Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” – Sir Walter Scott, having in mind the election held exactly one month ago today, November 6, 2012, when he uttered those astonishingly prophetic words.
Wouldn’t it be interesting and instructive, that is to say enlightening, what a full-blown investigation would reveal?
Until the vote fraud issue is seriously addressed, Republicans will not be winning elections. And, all this talk about voter turn out and messaging is as pointless as not being able to discuss the real reasons racism and poverty still exist.
And I will state again that without the massive fraud, Obama would have lost. There was more fraud this election than ever before. I remember when the media made much of a single small town in a very red area where Bush got nearly all the vote. They muttered darkly of voter suppression and fraud, and did it reflect on the election at large.
But when dozens of high population precincts in multiple swing states show up this election cycle with 100 percent of the votes going for Obama, or more people voting than are registered, the Press sees nothing.
Not that I´m surprised. But I am surprised that so little is made of this in the alternative media and Conservative Talk Radio.
This is not a time to hunker down, unless you are preparing to be utterly trampled.

Like any plane crash, this election crash was a concatenation of events, not just one. The Top Ten are right here:
1) Blatant vote fraud not ruled against by bought-and-paid for Dem judges. 2) Overall better turnout by Dems, even to the graveyard vote. 3) Religious stupidity. Evangelicals stayed home because of prejudice against Mormons. We fail to acknowledge that in the West, a lot of people don´t like Mormons because they are very successful and a little insular. Catholics went left. 4) The Romney campaign never effectively went after the Hispanic vote. They never got their key people (Rubio etc) on the road and high profile. 5) Romney needed to visit factories, farms, mines and Sandy disaster sites with private charities, and less huge rallies. 6) White males stayed home in droves 7) Never pounded on Benghazi and the coverup 8) This made a huge difference--singles either stayed home or voted for Obama because the Republican campaign, in overemphasizing families and marriage--and not appealing to our natural independence, hard work and frustration at this economy--made singles like me sometimes feel like second class citizens. (I´m older and don´t vote my feelings, but most people do.) 8) Romney campaign never roadblocked the media with purchased time to get his message out straight to the public around the media=soft left. Tons of money but lack of smart media strategy! 9) We never successfully painted Obama as a LOSER 10) ORCA was probably sabotaged by Indian or Russian programmers
Remove the parasite vote and Romney won. Romney should have been president. Rabble should not be electing presidents ever. Obama is an aberration. The working taxpaying citizens of America are enraged and very ticked off. Democrats will pay dearly for what they have done. They will be butchered at the 2014 elections.
Some say there is "no evidence" of fraud. Without a million voters proving their vote was changed or deleted, exactly how do you prove fraud with empirical evidence? Sometimes circumstantial and/or anecdotal evidence is compelling enough, like the precincts mentioned before in Philly and Cleveland. Exactly right #17, if the GOP isn´t going to challenge it, we need a party that will. Voter ID is only a good start.
#27 I agree with you...but. The Dems will repeat their methods in 2014 because of it´s success in 2012. The thing that frightens me the most is, BHO is going to pack the Supreme court, and if their methods of getting votes at the poles works, they will regain the House as well as increase their members in the senate. For then Dems it will be like shooting fish in a barrel. Sununu just talks and whines as do other RNC honchos.
Remember how the administration threatened Gallup when its poll numbers started showing Obama would lose? Why would it do that? Because it owns stock in Gallup? Or because a huge theft of votes would become obvious if the most accurate polling agencies predicted a result far different from the actual result?
Electronic vote theft can´t be traced. All evidence of it can be self-erased shortly after the deed is done. It will happen again in 2014 unless We-the-People come up with some sort of strategy to stop it. (It´s quite obvious that elite Republicans like John Boehner are quite content with their role as pretend opponents of the Democrats. They have no motivation to fix vote fixing.) Can we go back to paper ballots, filled out by hand? Do our computer wizards know of any way that common folk can expose the complicity of Spanish companies in stealing elections with electronic voting machines?
Electronic vote fraud can easily be countered by having the voting machines print a paper record which the voter must check on the spot and which must be retained by law in case of a recount or if verification is needed such as one candidate getting every vote! The beauty of this approach is that the Rats were howling about voter fraud and calling for it the every time the GOP won at least since Bush vs Gore. How can they object if we all approve of this measure?
I don´t know any voters that stayed home this time. I do know voters that stayed home in 08. Totally anecdotal-yes. But there was NO voter apathy with the people I talked to. It just doesn´t add up! literally! It also makes me feel like the whole integrity of our voting system is pirated and useless. I no longer believe that my vote counts anymore.
I didn´t know about the consent decree until this election and can´t imagine why the GOP hasn´t figured a way around this including disbanding the entity subject to the decree and starting an alternate party that passes the test of not being liable for the GOP´s legal entanglements.
The other thing I wonder is - why were they so stupid to ever agree to this? It guaranteed their sideshow status and the transformation of this country. Obviously someone cared more about their own butt than the much bigger picture.
And lastly - the GOP is in trouble for voter fraud? When the rats do it right in front of us and no one can do a damned thing about it????? I don´t believe nothing can be done - it´s just that no one has bothered and now we´ve got a full blown crisis.
Here is what happened: "Master Plan to Steal an Election" at www.brushfires-of-freedom.com/steal-an-election.html
So simple and timeless: just like Stalin said, it doesn´t matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes.
You want ideas of what to do? Demand release of the source code in the vote tabulating computers in every swing state. Go to Governor Kasich, or Florida´s Governor and pressure them to investigate.
They won´t do anything, unless the demand reaches a certain mass. But there IS a critical mass of Americans that KNOWS this election was a fraud; they just don´t know how it was pulled off. The building blocks are as plain as day in "Master Plan to Steal an Election". Axelrod´s use of Holder and the DOJ to threaten Gallup is the step that gave away the game.
I understand the sentiments of #36, but don´t blame those listed for the outcome of the election. What was happening "on the ground", with the huge crowds Romney garnered, did NOT jive with the outcome of the election. In fact, I don´t think that even 0bama thought he was going to win. This is a red country. Don´t think I´m right? Take a look at the article at American Thinker today entitled "Who elected Obama?"
How could the GOP agree to this one sided consent degree in the first place and how could it be still in effect 30 years later? The GOP is engaging in a charade to pretend we have elections. Why didn´t Obama get 98% of the vote just like Saddam Hussein used to in Iraq. The only reason for that is to keep up appearances!
The polls were wrong--only not in the way people thought. The polls showed Romney winning Florida, Virginia and Colorado, and too close to call races in Ohio and Iowa. They even showed Wisconsin in play. So the commentators were not wrong to think that Romney would win, since the undecided vote typically goes to the challenger. The pollsters need to rethink what they are doing, because the old methods just don´t work in the age of cell phones and early voting.
So, doesn´t that make Romney right about the "47%"? Where´s the apology?
Also, no one can convince me that voting-machine tampering and other fraudulent methods were not used to steal this election. That is really the serious part of the Obama win.
We must get a handle on disallowing certain people from voting; specifically those who are not qualified, not registered, have no photo ID, are not domiciled, or are utterly ignorant about America´s founding and her Constitution.
We have been far too lax with both our immigration laws and our voting laws. Time to tighten them up so that never again will another election be stolen by fraud.
It´s time to learn from mistakes and look towards the next election. If Republicans cannot convince Obama voters that their plans are better than Democrat plans, then we´re finished. Take a look at Detroit and Philadelphia. If those examples of Democrat rule are not convincing enough, then it´s time to throw in the towel and move out of the country.
Everyone that I know knew the stakes of this election and were desperate for Romney to win. The GOP has to start claiming voter fraud! We will never win any elections until we know how inner city precincts come in 100% for the Democrat. As for states such as New Hampshire, baffling.
However they did it, the liberal Democrats have come up with a winning election strategy. Everything points to a lot more people becoming dependent on government welfare based benefits and services before the next election.
There is no doubt that motor voter registration, instant voter registration, liberal absentee ballot and early voting, procedures, all contrary to common sense, that the liberal Democrats have been pushing for seemingly forever are only benefiting the liberal Democrats and have no impact on most Republican voter numbers, making it much easier for registration and voter fraud to be perpetrated, especially since voters do not have to present any sort of ID in a lot of places.
When you look back on how a lot of those liberalized voter procedures got passed into law, you will see that the wimpy Republicans went along with the liberal Democrats to get along when a lot of those liberal procedures were passed.
The liberal Democrats have a particularly effective tactic when dealing with the Stupid Party anytime that decide to further liberalize voting procedures that they know will get them more votes, they simply threaten to use the race card and call out any opposing wimpy Republicans as being racists. That always gets enough Republicans in line so that the liberal Democrats can get what they want done.
Then on top of all that in the last election there were so many narrow minded conservatives who refused to vote for a Mormon that Romney never had a chance. Those are the people who are going to find out that they shot themselves in the foot.
Sir, You forgot the dead, illegal aliens, missing, invented, and computer fraud. The only way the dimfecals can win is through criminal theft and intimidation. Sure the lobbyist, imprisioned and otherwise felons, welfare class, the "stuff" idiots, and the wealthy foodstamp busniess types( Solandra~ GM ~ Chrysler) and corporate farmers enthuisaticaally grovel to the dimfecals, but they are a small number compared to the illegal aliens who criminally
Amen #37. Every conservative I know was aware of the importance of this election and I don´t think wild horses or NBP´s w/sticks could have stopped them from voting for Romney. Not our particular favorite choice, but certainly better than Chairman O.
We wuz robbed...not by much, just enough for the Alinsky-taught Soros-loving thug union crooks on the left to "fix" the fraudulent election in "My Muslim Faith" Hussein the Won´s favor. And I want something DONE about it! Like the fiscal cliff negogiations, like Benghazi, Libya, like....oh never mind!
I´ll be dipped...a revelation from Sununu. The dims helped the gummint-dependent sheep get off their behinds to vote for Obie. There´s something wrong here that not enough of the rest of us bothered to vote Obie out of a job (by the way, I did).
This afternoon one of my staff intercepted a recorded message stating in so many words, " we are calling you to enlist your help. There are millions of Republicans who are trying to take your medical care from you. We need you to donate $200.00 toward the cause so that we can help you hold on to your healthcare". She tried to get a human on the phone so that she could enlighten that person that they had called into a medical office full of Republicans! Of course no human came on the line. My first thought was that it was a scam using the Dems to get money out of people by scaring them but after some thought I think it is coming from the same thugs that brought fraud into every nook and cranny of the voting process in this country on Nov 6. They have figured out how to use the phone and the Internet to scare people, 47 % who receive some form of entitlement from Washington. Until Republicans and Conservatives are ready to man the phones and the Internet and do likewise we will never beat these thighs. Time to play hardball!
I witnesses what appeared to be fraud when I was poll watching and had hoped someone would contact me after I tried to call the campaign office. Sununu is correct, this election was won because people did not want to give up or have reduced any benefits from the gov´t. People would ask me questions about romney´s policies on federal programs and how they would impact on their needs......I tried to be truthful and told them to do research. They did, and they voted their interests....Obama. I´m still reeling from this election. I don´t think I´ll ever get involved in an election again.
Seoul, South Korea -- Kenneth Bae, the American citizen sentenced to 15 years in a North Korean labor camp, has been moved to a hospital after a serious deterioration in his health, his sister said. Detained in North Korea in November and sentenced in April for "hostile acts to bring down its government," Bae is now suffering from severe back and leg pain and has lost more than 50 pounds, his sister Terri Chung told CNN late Sunday. Chung said she received the information from the U.S. State Department, which told her the Swedish ambassador
Police are hunting a radical Muslim preacher wanted in connection with an acid attack on two British teenagers in Zanzibar. Sheikh Issa Ponda Issa was cornered by officers near Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, but managed to escape and is now on the run. He was hit in the shoulder with a tear-gas canister during the altercation, according to local police in Morogoro - the scene of the clash. Once behind bars for a crime he did not commit, Atlanta Falcons´ Brian Banks is thankful to be back in the game. The rookie linebacker, 28, picked up two tackles in his first NFL pre-season game against the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday, which he called "one of the best moments of my life." A rising high school football star from southern California who had been granted a full scholarship to play in the renowned Division 1 program at University of Southern California, Banks´ career was brought to a sudden standstill by a wrongful kidnap-rape conviction in 2002 that put the then-17-year-old
WASHINGTON -- With the U.S. facing massive overcrowding in its prisons, Attorney General Eric Holder is calling for major changes to the nation´s criminal justice system that would scale back the use of harsh sentences for certain drug-related crimes. In remarks prepared for delivery to the American Bar Association in San Francisco, Holder also favors diverting people convicted of low-level offenses to drug treatment and community service programs and expanding a prison program to allow for release of some elderly, non-violent offenders. "We need to ensure that incarceration is used to punish, deter and rehabilitate -
So the paranoid hippie pot dealer you knew in college was right all along: The feds really were after him. In the latest post-Snowden bombshell about the extent and consequences of government spying, we learned from Reuters reporters this week that a secret branch of the DEA called the Special Operations Division – so secret that nearly everything about it is classified, including the size of its budget and the location of its office — has been using the immense pools of data collected by the NSA, CIA, FBI and other intelligence agencies
On their current trip to Cairo, Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), two of President Barack Obama’s most persistent critics on everything in foreign policy from Syria to Benghazi, have found common cause with him at last. All three fear that the anti-American (and generally anti-human) Muslim Brotherhood (MB), whom they mistakenly see as “moderate,” will disappear from the halls of power in Egypt, our most important Arab ally. They also evidently worry that the MB’s leading figures, such as now-deposed (and arrested) President Mohamed Morsi—who had awarded himself powers greater than any previous ruler
China´s latest plan to link the mainland to Taiwan, either by bridge or via a tunnel that would be triple the size of the one under the English Channel, is sure to heighten long-simmering tensions between the two countries. China, which has always claimed dominion over Taiwan, recently approved a State Council plan for a highway that would connect Beijing to Taipei, which would stretch 1,200 miles, including a 111-mile span over or under the straits that separate the nations. Such a project has been discussed for at least a decade, but was recently approved
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez may be the most hated figure in sports, but he is a man for our time. He is a master at the insincere mea culpa, at self-involvement, at pretense and greed. Not just greed for money, but for fame and glory. If he had only disgraced himself playing for the Texas Rangers, that would be one thing, but he has done it playing for the most storied franchise in sports, whose legends are synonymous with baseball greatness. So let’s consider the tale of two prodigiously talented Yankee corner infielders, separated by about 80 years
For a glimpse at the secret, special-favors factory that Washington has become under President Obama, check out this week´s big news out of the Environmental Protection Agency. Or rather, look beyond the headlines to the corporate handout hidden within. The big news was that the EPA issued—finally—its infamous annual quota for renewable fuels. That mandate tells the nation´s refineries how much renewable fuel (ethanol) must be blended annually into gasoline, a quota that is becoming a pernicious driver of gas prices. The EPA was supposed to release the 2013 quota last November but decided to leave the industry
As we advance toward the much anticipated rollout of Obamacare on October 1, the true horror of what Congress and the president have wrought is beginning to sink in. There is a growing nervousness that the state insurance exchanges not only won’t be ready, but may harbor a dangerous vulnerability that would allow hackers access to the personal information of consumers who sign up for insurance via the sites. There is also a growing number of Democrats who are advocating a repeal of one of Obamacare’s major pieces: the Independent Payment Advisory Board, which will arbitrarily rule
WASHINGTON — The gloating among jihadists and their sympathizers began last week, right after the United States shut down almost two dozen diplomatic posts across the Middle East in response to a terrorist threat. “God is great! America is in a condition of terror and fear from Al Qaeda,” wrote one jihadist in an online forum. Another one rejoiced: “The mobilization and security precautions are costing them billions of dollars. We hope to hear more of such psychological warfare, even if there are no actual jihadi operations on the ground.” The jihadists are not the only ones
On Tuesday, Barack Obama insisted that the US government isn’t spying on Americans by surveilling the contents of their communications. Less than two days later, the New York Times makes hash of that claim. The NSA, reports Charlie Savage, sifts through the content of “vast amounts” of electronic communications between Americans and people abroad in their search for links to terrorism, and not just the metadata: The National Security Agency is searching the contents of vast amounts of Americans’ e-mail and text communications into and out of the country, hunting for people who mention information about foreigners
While media mogul Oprah Winfrey has been promoting her new film, “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” she revealed she was a recent victim of profiling while shopping in a store in Zurich.(Snip)“I was in Zurich the other day at a store, whose name I will not mention,” Winfrey said on “Entertainment Tonight,” “and I didn’t have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear…but obviously, ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ is not shown in Zurich. So this doesn’t happen to me unless somebody obviously doesn’t know that it’s me.” Winfrey went on to explain that she was in Zurich for Tina Turner’s wedding,
Appearing on This Week With George Stephanopoulos, Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert battled not only the Democratic panelists but also conservative pundit George Will over the wisdom of shutting down the government to prevent Obamacare funding. Gohmert strongly condemned President Barack Obama’s argument at Friday’s news conference that the GOP’s “holy grail” was enying millions of people health insurance. “That’s a false narrative,” Gohmert said. “He says we’re trying to keep people from having health care. That’s just not true. That is an absolute, blatant lie. We’re not trying to keep anybody from getting health care.
Nobody tells Oprah she can´t afford a handbag. Oprah Winfrey is one of the richest entertainers in the world, thanks to her willdly successful 25-season run on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and her latest media foray with the newly revitalized Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The entertainer earned an estimated $77 million from June 2012 to June 2013 alone, according to Forbes, but she says she still experiences racism because she is African American. Take this latest incident in Switzerland, where "The Butler" star went to attend the nuptials of good friend and singer Tina Turner last month.
During his Wednesday appearance on Jay Leno´s "Tonight Show,´ President Obama made three factual gaffes; one of them involved the claim that cities not found along the Gulf of Mexico are. Were Obama a Republican, these gaffes would have led news coverage for the next forty-eight hours. Not only did most of the media ignore or downplay these gaffes; the Associated Press went so far as to cover one of them up. In its coverage Thursday, rather than point out the president´s geographical error, the wire service made it look as though no error was made.
The taxpayer-supported Missouri State Fair is getting a lot of negative publicity in social media Sunday following a report of a shameful stunt that occurred Saturday night in Sedalia. (Snip) Basically, a clown wearing a mask of Obama came out during the bull riding event. The crowd was asked if it wanted to see Obama “run down by a bull. Things got worse from there." Things got worse from there, which doesn’t surprise me, given the anti-Obama feeling among many fairgoers from rural Missouri, where Obama lost to Mitt Romney (at least 60-40 percent in much of outlying parts of state)
Ames, Iowa — Donald Trump delivered a blistering attack on Mitt Romney’s campaign today. “I don’t know what the hell happened with his campaign,” Trump said in a speech at The Family Leader Summit. “I just don’t get it. That was an election that couldn’t have been lost.” “Every single state that they asked me to go or do some phone calls or some television, we won in the primaries,” Trump remarked. But he also criticized what the campaign had initially wanted him to say in robocalls. “They gave me this most pathetic thing to say. I said,
During a press conference yesterday, President Obama revealed the existence of a sealed indictment in the Benghazi attacks in Libya on September 11, 2012, leaving some experts questioning whether the president broke the law. Federal law states that ´no person may disclose [a sealed] indictment´s existence,´ and that doing so may be ´punished as a contempt of court,´ a charge that carries a minimum sentence of six months prison. The announcement came as a surprise to some insiders, as the existence of a sealed indictment has not been publicly confirmed or denied by law enforcement or
During an hour-long deep dive into the growing use of food stamps in America, Fox News highlighted “the new face of food stamps.” That new face is a pina colada-sipping, lobster-loving lothario named Jason Greenslate. Greenslate, a 29-year-old La Jolla California surfer and musician who sings that he does not want a “motherfucking job” and has “fuck no” guilt about living on $200 of what he calls “free money ” — or what the government called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Benefits — while he avoids a job to hang out on the beach, sing and chase women.
President Obama took his case for ending the sequester to hundreds of disabled veterans Saturday, saying he protected their benefits from the “reckless” cuts to the federal budget but suggesting next year might be different. “It’s hurting our military. I made it clear that your veteran’s benefits are exempt from this year’s sequester,” the president said to the applause of hundreds at the Disabled American Veterans´ convention in Orlando, Fla. “But I want to tell you going forward the best way to protect the VA care you have earned is to get rid of this sequester altogether.”
Rooms have to be found for dozens of Secret Service agents, someone has to carry a selection of presidential basketballs, and of course the family dog needs his own state-of-the-art aircraft. Arriving in the idyllic coastal retreat of Martha´s Vineyard in Massachusetts, Mr Obama left behind him in Washington DC high profile debates over the budget, government surveillance and his health care reforms. Instead, he will spend the next eight days playing golf, going to the beach, and buying books from the Bunch of Grapes bookstore.
Eydie Gorme, a popular nightclub and television singer as a solo act and as a team with her husband, Steve Lawrence, has died. She was 84. Gorme, who also had a huge solo hit in 1963 with "Blame it on the Bossa Nova," died Saturday at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas following a brief, undisclosed illness, said her publicist, Howard Bragman. Gorme was a successful band singer and nightclub entertainer when she was invited to join the cast of Steve Allen´s local New York television show in 1953. She sang solos and also did duets and comedy skits with Lawrence, a rising young singer who had joined
Potential 2016 presidential contender Donald Trump spoke to ABC’s Jonathan Karl Sunday morning and reignited the birther issue that he helped spark back in 2011, questioning the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate and wondering whether Ted Cruz, who was born in Canada, was eligible to president. “Was there a birth certificate?” Trump asked. “You tell me. Some people say that was not his birth certificate. I’m saying I don’t know. Nobody knows. And you don’t know, either, Jonathan. You’re a smart guy, you don’t know, either.” “I’m pretty convinced he was born in the United States,” Karl said.
