| Houston - In a finding that could help create a new industry of natural gas exports in the United States, a government study released on Wednesday concluded that the national economic benefits of significant natural gas exports far outweighed the potential for higher energy prices for consumers and industrial users of the fuel. This is not just a Texas play. The dry gas regions of Pennsylvania and Ohio will boom if these projects are approved. For that reason I seriously doubt Obama will approve. They won´t need him or the Dems if they get legit jobs on their own. So I doubt seriously these projects will be greenlighted by an Administration that is bent on destroying the nation in the interests of justic.

Met with an investment representative yesterday who was all sunny about America´s prospects. Biggest story: Fracking. Read another that said that the scant job growth we had came from cheaper energy like nat gas (fracking) bringing in some manufacturing and places like North Dakota (fracking). I have a hard time thinking that the WH really wants this when they also pass up cheap and easy job growth like the keystone pipeline, drilling in the Gulf, etc.

A Port Canaveral police sergeant was fired Friday after an internal investigation showed he offered other officers a target resembling Trayvon Martin to use for shooting practice. Sgt. Ron King, a two-year veteran of the force of about 35 sworn officers, offered the target of a hoodie-wearing Trayvon at the range near Cocoa on April 4, Rosalind Harvey, a port spokeswoman, said Saturday. The other officers, who were on duty, refused. King led firearms classes at the range, Harvey said. Rick Scott are making it more difficult for Florida´s former felons to get their voting rights restored, which critics say has suppressed the minority vote and hurt Democratic candidates. (Snip) A disproportionate number of black Floridians are convicted felons - 16.5 percent of Floridians are black, yet black inmates make up 31.5 percent of the state´s prison population - meaning a higher percentage of African-Americans don´t have the right to vote after completing their sentences. Albany - The Albany school district has placed on leave a teacher whose persuasive writing assignment was for students to argue that Jews are evil in order to convince a Nazi official of their loyalty. The teacher was not in class at Albany High School on Friday and Superintendent Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard said the district will take some form of disciplinary action. She said it was too early to say exactly what that would be, but it could range from a letter of reprimand to termination. She did not say when the district would allow the teacher back in the classroom and suggested it may not happen

Kaufman, TX - Authorities investigating the death of a Texas district attorney arrested a former justice of the peace and charged him Saturday with making a "terroristic threat" after searching his home. Eric Williams, 46, was admitted to the Kaufman County Jail early Saturday morning, jail records show. Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
