Bill Clinton says two parties

fiscal cliff proposals

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that Democrats and Republicans are like dogs "sniffing each other out" over a piece of meat in their negotiation to avert the "fiscal cliff," suggesting the two sides are approaching a deal. Clinton told a Sacramento audience that while watching news of the negotiation Tuesday he feared "the American people are going to be sick when they watch this." "But it´s just a Kabuki dance," Clinton said at Memorial Auditorium. "They´re sort of like two dogs that meet each other over a piece of meat. They´re sniffing each other out.

The ever-eloquent, classy Bill Clinton.

He and Obama can go sniff the rear ends of dogs. It is time for the adults to get busy and stand up like men to the craziness Obama is proposing.

It is time for some of those "Harry and Louise" commercials that did in Hillary Care. Call Obama out and tell him to extend the current tax rates until we are out of this mess. Obama should be hounded over this, not the republicans. Don´t we have a conservative with the kind of money that Soros throws around, but to use for a good cause, rather than the destruction of our entire way of life?

The San Francisco 49ers said they are aware of a TMZ report saying quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for an incident in Miami and are gathering facts on the incident. TMZ reported Thursday that police are in the beginning stages of investigating an alleged incident which TMZ said happened at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami earlier this month. The story said the police were investigating for "possible sexual assault," but Bay Area News Group crime reporter Natalie Neysa Alund wrote that the incident is not being investigated as a sexual assault. No charges have been filed at this point.

ANAHEIM – How do you let visitors with autism, who sometimes have great trouble waiting in line for theme park attractions, go to the front while thwarting other guests who cheat? Disney said it tried to solve the issue in October with a new policy, igniting furor from some quarters. Last week, 16 families with autistic children filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, which includes Anaheim’s Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, saying the new policy violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. The suit, which was filed in Los Angeles, seeks an unspecified amount of money and a

The Number of Uninsured Is Dropping,

Two new surveys clearly show that the number of people who lack health insurance in the United States has dropped — but largely not because people have enrolled in Obamacare exchanges. (Snip) What Gallup doesn´t dive into is where people are gaining insurance. That´s where the new survey from the RAND Corporation comes in. Interestingly, RAND discovered that the vast majority of new insurance coverage came not from enrollments in the Obamacare exchanges, as you might expect. Instead, it was heavily from expansions of coverage by employers and from the expansion of Medicaid — a component of the Affordable Care

Appearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John Kerry defiantly defended his diplomatic efforts, saying that while ambitious, they were better than doing nothing. While the purpose of Tuesday’s hearing was to pick through the State Department’s budget, it was Kerry’s record that came under scrutiny as his old colleagues on the committee accused him of taking on too many responsibilities with too few results. “I think you’re about to hit the trifecta,” Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told Kerry, naming three of the most complicated issues Kerry took on: the humanitarian crisis in Syria, the Iranian nuclear

Offering a first glimpse of the health care needs of Americans who bought coverage through federal and state marketplaces, an analysis of the first two months of claims data shows the new enrollees are more likely to use expensive specialty drugs to treat conditions like HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C than those with job-based insurance. The sample of claims data—considered a preliminary look at whether new enrollees are sicker-than-average—also found that prescriptions for treating pain, seizures, and depression are also proportionally higher in exchange plans, according to Express Scripts, one of the nation’s largest pharmacy benefit management companies. A new poll conducted by a Democratic pollster is warning of potential impending disaster for Democrats in this year´s midterm elections because of a familiar problem — diminished turnout among voters on whom they are reliant. The Washington Post´s Greg Sargent got an early look at the poll, which was conducted by Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg of Democracy Corps for Women’s Voices Women Vote. The poll found that voters in the so-called "Rising American Electorate" — unmarried women, minorities, and younger voters — are much less likely to vote this year than in 2012. The disparity is key. Kiev -- Russia warned Tuesday that any use of force in Ukraine´s eastern region could lead to civil war, as Kiev seeks to regain control after pro-Moscow uprisings in three cities. Pro-Russian protesters seized government buildings in the three cities of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv on Sunday. Rebels occupying Donetsk´s regional government building Monday declared a "people´s republic" and called for a referendum on secession from Ukraine to be held by May 11. Malaysia and Indonesia have banned the biblical epic Noah, joining other Muslim nations in vetoing the Hollywood movie because of its visual depiction of the prophet. Film censors in both countries said today that the portrayal of the ark-building prophet by Russell Crowe was against Islamic laws. Depictions of any prophet are shunned in Islam to avoid worship of a person rather than God. "The film Noah is not allowed to be screened in this country to protect the sensitivity and harmony in Malaysia´s multi-racial and multi-religious community," Film Censorship Board chairman Abdul Halim Abdul Hamid said in a statement.

Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle.
