This is the perfect example of why the leftists´ outrage and desire for gun control is a complete joke. The facts never support their fictional accounts. He needs to send this to Bob Costas.

Don´t forget that they also have this questionable $55M grant to pay the gang-bangers to be good in the community by doing "odd jobs."

OP, libtards push ´gun control´ not for noble ´crime-fighting´ reasons as they bleat constantly, but to disarm the citizens so they can do as they wish with an unarmed populace. Libtards deserve a short rope and a long drop, nothing more. American society must be protected from them.

WRONG! Shootings have jumped (not spiked) 49% BECAUSE of strict gun laws and will continue to do so.

"The mayor also hopes to ban convicted felons from ever owning a gun."

Oh, yeah, there´s a ´feel good´ law for Chicago. It´s already a federal crime for someone who´s been convicted of a felony or domestic violence to then possess a firearm or ammunition. The penalty includes a possible prison sentence of ten years.

Mayor Emmanuel is just talking nonsense about his tough anti-gun laws. Just like most anti-gun folks, he has no idea what are the laws in place already.

They need to have a black on black crime awareness month so these crazy shootings will stop. It´s pretty bad when someone is walking down the steps at a funeral and gets shot himself. At least give the dear departed in the casket time to cool off some before going on another rampage.

Giving people a free flu shot for a gun turn in is a brilliant idea and should catch on rapidly across the country.I´m starting to get a little cough myself but I don´t have a gun to turn in. I do have a butcher´s knife though, maybe they´ll take that as a down payment for a shot.

The White House said Thursday that President Obama "absolutely" did not aid Jay-Z and Beyoncé in obtaining travel licenses to visit Cuba. On Wednesday night, the rapper released a song that bragged about the trip and included the lyrics "boy from the hood but got White House clearance." The lyrics also say Obama told him "chill, you gonna get me impeached." But on Thursday, White House press secretary Jay Carney said dismissively "it´s a song." "I guess nothing rhymes with Treasury, because Treasury offers and gives licenses for travel and the White House had nothing to do it

If you, or your workplace, are still using Windows XP, it’s time to move on. Microsoft will officially end support for the 2001-vintage platform on April 8, 2014, just shy of a year from now. That means no more service packs, no more updates and, most importantly, no more security patches. Windows users generally receive periodic updates from Microsoft via its Windows Update service. These fixes often patch irregular behavior in the operating system. More importantly, they plug vital flaws in the OS´s security, preventing hackers and exploiters from running roughshod over private PCs.

Global PC shipments fell by 13.9 percent in the first quarter of 2013, and according to analyst firm IDC , Windows 8 could very well be the reason. On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that 76.3 million PC units shipped during the most recent financial period, marking the biggest decline since the IDC began publishing quarterly numbers 19 years ago. “The reaction to Windows 8 is real,” Jay Chou, an IDC analyst, said to The Wall Street Journal. Increased demand for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have also played a role in this decline,

Controversial gun legislation cleared a key Senate hurdle Thursday, as lawmakers voted 68-31 to start debate on the package which includes expanded background checks and new penalties for gun trafficking. Senate Democrats, joined by a few Republicans, were able to overcome an attempted filibuster by more than a dozen senators opposed to the current bill. Those senators could still slow-walk the debate, but the Senate will ultimately begin votes on amendments -- one of which is considered crucial to winning support for a final vote.

In the song, titled "Open Letter," Jay-Z jokes that he "turned Havana [in]to Atlanta" and claims President Obama told him "chill, you gonna get me impeached." Jay-Z´s song tees off on those questioning his travel plans, at one point asking politicians, "Wanna give me jail time and a fine? Fine, let me commit a real crime."
