Report: Kellogg Foundation, SEIU
funded attacks on voter ID laws

Daily Caller, by David Martosko

A progressive foundation and a labor union have combined to pour millions of dollars into a “racial justice” group that was hostile to voter ID laws during the 2012 campaign season, according to a conservative watchdog group in Wisconsin. While True the Vote and other right-leaning campaigns were promoting ID requirements for voters and monitoring the implementation of ID laws at the state level, the Applied Research Center (ARC) was pushing back with claims that photo ID requirements at polling places were thinly veiled expressions of racism. Media Trackers, the conservative Wisconsin group,

They must be very pleased with their efforts in corrupting this election. The only surprising thing about this article is that George Soros is not mentioned. He always plays a huge role in the destruction of this country by his funding of these corrupt, anti-American foundations.

Just curious, but which major (i.e. multi-billion $$$) foundation isn´t progressive? Ford, Rockefeller, Heinz, Kellogg--all radically leftist. This gets us back to O´Sullivan´s Law: All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing.

I wonder what the captains of industry - Kellogg, Carnegie, Ford, Rockefeller would think about what their foundations are doing today?

It makes you realize how wise Olin was with his foundation.

Interesting how determined the unions are to protect their golden goose- illegal voters. Ironic how much they corrupt our system, yet rule theirs with an iron fist- or bat- depending on the circumstance.

OP- Soros has gotten wary of too much exposure. Just because you don´t see him, doesn´t mean he isn´t pulling the strings. He has enough money to buy a lot of silence, especially from Unions.

It´s long past time for Congress to use RICO laws to destroy the unions. Then again, how many politicians do you know who will stand up to the unions other than Scott Walker? Christie is selective in the unions he challenges.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) cannot account for nearly 50,000 foreign students taking advantage of a student work visa program, according to a new report released by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on Friday. The program is a threat to national security and vulnerable to potential terrorists, said Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), who asked the GAO to review the program. The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), administered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), allows individuals on student visas to remain in the country to gain work experience in their chosen fields. Immigration reform may be stalled in Congress, but a new Obama administration policy is extending legal status and military benefits to thousands of illegal immigrants who are the spouses, parents and children of American military members. Supporters say the policy -- which applies to active-duty military, reservists and veterans -- is long overdue. "Those veterans and those men and women who serve in the National Guard certainly deserve the peace of mind that their family members will not be deported," immigration attorney Faye Kolly said. But critics say the policy is tantamount to backdoor amnesty. "A whole class of aliens

Last week, CBS´s popular law enforcement procedural show NCIS chose what is becoming an increasingly common way to establish that a character is the episode´s bad guy by showing him in photos with Republicans. During the March 4 episode titled, Dressed to Kill, we find that the bad guy du jour is a notorious private investigator named Nick Bodeen (Anthony Palermo). He was killed in the first few minutes of the episode but as viewers learn of his back-story the character is described as a s****g. In fact, one recurring character called him a "reprobate." So, how did NCIS writers drive home

In the music video for the Beyoncé song “Partition,” there’s some incredibly raunchy imagery, including car sex and a lyric reference to Monica Lewinsky. Bill O’Reilly was fired up about this Monday night, confronting hip hop mogul Russell Simmons over what kind of message that sends to young black girls when such behavior is glorified by one of their idols. O’Reilly said the video “glorifies having sex in the back of a limousine,” and wondered “why on earth would this woman do that” when unplanned pregnancy is a problem in the black community. The Obama administration is abandoning a surprise plan to alter Medicare’s drug coverage after receiving withering criticism from Congress and K Street. Medicare chief Marilyn Tavenner alerted lawmakers Monday that her agency would not go forward with a proposal to give insurers more leeway to limit the number of drugs they cover for Medicare beneficiaries. Critics argued that making the change, which was designed to save money, would have hampered seniors’ access to necessary drugs. Attkisson, who has been with CBS News for two decades, had grown frustrated with what she saw as the network´s liberal bias, an outsized influence by the network´s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, several sources said. It took zero-point-zero seconds for that quote to become precisely the sort of rallying point that Republican incumbents would probably rather their opponents not have. The Tea Party-versus-establishment war has rarely been articulated as plainly as in McConnell´s comments. Although it appears that McConnell was probably speaking within the fairly narrow frame of candidates challenging incumbent Republican senators.
