Honey Boo Boo herself isn´t the decay of Western civilization, but the fact that anyone even bothers to watch her show is indicative of that decay. The same holds true for any reality "stars." That anyone pays any attention at all to sluts like the Kardashians, etc. shows the decline of the civilization.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how smart, well educated people can bear to sit and watch these moronic shows on TV!

Actually, I would give that honor to rap music.

The kid on "Two and a Half Men", Angus Something or Other, was absolutely right when he said the public shouldn´t be filling its head with such filth. Honey Boo Boo is the same thing. What show is worth watching anymore? Even Homeland has blatant sex scenes. Americans are on a road straight to Hell.

THere are so many TV shows now that cater to the lowest common denominator of our country. Just look at c-span covering the house and senate?

Honey B B is not as bad as Kardassians, Rap, Housewives..imho. At least the Boo boo´s are not pretentious or arrogant or full of hate like Rap is.

Let´s see. I watch American Restoration, Duck Dynasty, Pawn Stars. That´s about it. Yeah I know some of them are scripted, but at least they don´t insult me and my beliefs.

I don´t watch any those shows and not going to start watching any time soon. The only show I´m hooked on is NCIS.

Honey Boo Boo is like a mini Bill Clinton. People responded to Clinton because he was flawed, and could make the electorate feel better about their own lack of class and morals. Honey Boo Boo and her trashy family make the Average Joes of America feel superior and smug.

I tried to watch that stupid show once, but it reminded me too much of the white trash I see in my town.

These supposedly "reality" shows are nothing other than certain levels of "trailer trash" voyeurism. As someone aptly stated, it´s not the shows that are the problem -- it´s the fact that people have become so shallow to find these shows riveting. These are the same pathetic individuals who have found Obama to be a creditable and inspirational leader. Where some folks would see a poisonous sewer, the “reality” show crowd sees a mystical fountain.

I don´t watch the show but with all the trash on, why shouldn´t these people earn some money for their family. I read where someone (maybe the show) wanted to give them a new house and they turned it down, stating there was nothing wrong with their house, just needed some remodeling. So all in all, I have seen worse on tv.

I have never seen the Honey Boo Boob show, and never attended Harvard. However, from what I have read, I believe it is a toss up. The cause of the decay of Western Civ. that is.

On second thought, it sounds as if Honey B.B. is honest, whereas Harvard if filled with elite professorial plagiarism. Which is more harmful to society?
