| CHINO HILLS, Calif. – Residents of a Southern California suburb are protesting against a hilltop home that they say serves as a maternity center for Chinese mothers paying thousands of dollars to give birth to so-called "anchor babies." Dozens picketed a Chino Hills intersection on Saturday, holding signs that read "No Birth Tourism" and "Not Here! Not in USA!" The city´s mayor tells the San Bernardino Sun that rooms in the house have been rented out to pregnant Chinese women until they give birth. Protesters say they don´t want to see a business in a residential area.

Also, the 14th amendment to the Constitution does not grant citizenship to persons born on US soil.
The amensdment specifies that those who are born on US soil AND under the jurisdiction thereof are citizens.
Representative Bingham of NY, who authored the amendment, specifically excluded Indians and immigrants.
Those Chinese and Mexican persons are subject to our laws but they are subject to the jurisdiction of their native country.

You can bet that a lot of these Chinese women are related to high ranking people employed in the government of the People´s Republic of China. This is going to be a real problem in the future, as these babies grow up in China or elsewhere and really have no connection to the USA.
Once they reach adulthood they can go to a US Embassy abroad, get a US passport, come into the USA, and enjoy all the benefits of US citizenship even when they owe their primary allegiance to China or some other country, that may or may not to friendly to the USA.
Once they reach age 21 they have the right to file US immigration petitions to grant their foreign parents permanent residence (a green card) so that the parents can come and go, live, and work indefinitely in the USA. Those parent of a US citizen immigrant visas are not subject to any immigration numerical quota, so they are issued in unlimited numbers.
All that may not be what was intended when the 14th Amendment was passed, but after that a lot of liberal court decisions opened it up to what it is today, with the children of illegal aliens and foreign tourists being granted US citizenship upon their birth in this country in unlimited numbers.

Speaking in Ohio this week, the Youngstown Vindicator reports, veteran investigative journalist Bob Woodward recalled an “unflattering” story about a dining experience with former Vice President Al Gore. According to the local paper, Woodward “told an unflattering, but amusing story about sitting next to former Vice President Al Gore at a dinner, saying being with him was taxing.” “To be really honest, it’s unpleasant,” the journalist added of his experience with Gore. MOBILE, Ala. — The crippled cruise ship whose sewage-filled breakdown in the Gulf of Mexico subjected thousands to horrendous conditions tore loose Wednesday from the dock where it´s being repaired, lumbered downriver and crunched into a cargo ship. Wind gusts near hurricane strength shoved the 900-foot Carnival Triumph free from its mooring in downtown Mobile, Ala., where the ship was brought in a five-day ordeal that began when an engine fire stranded it off of Mexico in February. Governor Brown on Saturday announced he´ll be granting pardons to 65 former felons, including a convicted murderer. The AP says most of the pardons were granted to criminals convicted of low-level offenses, though not all were small-time offenders: Most were for people convicted of selling or possessing drugs. However, Robert Phillip Brown was convicted of murder. He was paroled in 1996 after serving 15 years in prison. ... Others pardoned included Francisco Mauricio Nunes, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and James David Vercellino, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.

Texas employment surged in February as employers added the most new jobs ever in a month. The Texas Workforce Commission on Friday reported 80,600 new jobs across the state. That more than made up for a slow start in January, when an upwardly revised 13,800 jobs were added. It’s no secret that Egyptian slavery is as old as the pyramids. It’s also common knowledge that Barack Obama’s ancestors owned slaves. So it’s really no surprise that he helped usher in a radical Egpytian regime that is restoring slavery. According to the AP Egypt’s new constitution has dropped its ban on slavery: Omissions of certain articles, such as bans on slavery or promises to adhere to international rights treaties, were equally worrying to critics of the new draft, who pulled out from the panel before the vote. The Obama administration declined to criticize Egypt’s constitution despite its slavery clause.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school.
