Grounds-people, when dead, appear not to rise to the level of "tragedy" that an athlete does.

It´s so hard to keep all the fashionable sub groups straight.

I´m guessing that they will play this weeks game anyway.

Just a guess.

All he had to do was wait another twenty years or so and the Browns might have a winning team again.

When you kill yourself at a practice center, do you have to keep doing it until you get it right?

What George W. Bush misses the most

Former President George W. Bush said Wednesday he doesn´t miss much about being president — with the exception of riding on Air Force One. “A lot of people ask me, you know, do I miss much about being president?” Bush said at an event in Dallas. “And the answer is really no.” But the former president admitted having his own plane was a great perk. "I mean I miss the people I served with. I miss Air Force One. In eight years they never lost my baggage," he said to laughter.

As American voters watch ObamaCare continue its Godzilla-like rampage across the national health-care landscape, it´s worth considering the collateral damage this political monster may be doing to the Democratic brand itself. What if ObamaCare´s problems become a metaphor for the modern Democratic Party? Two portents emerged the past week. The United Auto Workers suffered a humiliating defeat at Volkswagen VOW3.XE -0.49% in Tennessee. And days before that loss, voters San Diego elected Republican Kevin Faulconer mayor after he teed up his opponent as a captive of the city´s public unions. Two big constituencies sacked in a week.

MINNEAPOLIS-Vice President Joe Biden was back in Minneapolis for a private fundraiser Wednesday that was held at the Bachelor Farmer restaurant in downtown´s North Loop, but he also stopped by Moose & Sadie´s Coffee Shop to meet with those who used MNsure to buy health insurance. The fundraiser started at about 5 p.m., and the temporary road closures and traffic delays snarled some of the Wednesday evening commute. Biden was in Minneapolis less than two weeks ago for Joan Mondale´s memorial service, but Wednesday´s visit was geared toward drumming up financial support from Democrats -- and political science professor David

Toluca (Mexico)- US President Barack Obama joined the Mexican and Canadian leaders Wednesday for a North American summit focused on trade but marked by friction between the "three amigos." Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto shook hands with Obama in an ornate state government palace in Toluca, near Mexico City, for private one-on-one talks before Prime Minister Stephen Harper joined them later. The partners of the 20-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) are locked in several thorny disputes likely to surface in the talks and at a joint closing news conference. More than 5,000 soldiers and police officers patrolled streets

After the treats and the passing out of holiday cards, Hailey’s fourth-grade teacher put on some music. And the parent helpers — including Hailey’s mother — got to see the kids go at it. “They got to shake their groove thing and Hailey was in the midst of it all,” said Gary Tew, principal of Westport Elementary School in Springfield. “That’s what the kids are going to remember about her. CNBC’s Rick Santelli recalled the five-year anniversary of the stimulus, housing bailout and blowing “a gasket” during “Squawk on the Street” today. “On Feb. 19 I blew a gasket. But basically, what was born at that point was the voice of dissension. How do we know that? Many of course still remember the IRS issues. President said maybe there wasn’t a smidgen of, of, of negativity there or news there or anything inappropriate there,” Santelli explained. “But it seems like, if you look back, it was February of 2009 where all of that started if you look at some of the

COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M is aiming for two primary goals upon completion of its $450 million makeover of Kyle Field: Largest and loudest. The Aggies already had announced the stadium´s planned capacity of 102,500, making it the largest in Texas and the Southeastern Conference. On Tuesday, A&M chancellor John Sharp also declared a new video board, at 47 feet by 163 feet, will be the largest in college athletics, and nearly twice the size of the old one. “It´s another intimidating feature of the redevelopment of Kyle Field,” Sharp said during a stadium construction update. The Department of Homeland Security warned airlines Wednesday of a potential shoe-bomb threat on overseas flights to the United States. DHS urges passenger airlines to be vigilant because they say credible intelligence suggests that a terrorist could be planning to detonate an explosive hidden in shoes. But the flight’s country of origin or time of departure are not known. A DHS official confirmed that they regularly share relevant information about threats with domestic and international partners. "These types of regular communications are part of that important priority," the official said.

Picking up a gallon of milk at the grocery store is getting pricier and the cost could hit a record high for U.S. consumers in March, analysts warned. Strong global demand and stagnant production in other countries has led to increased exports of U.S. dairy products in recent months, generating more money for dairy farmers but resulting in likely price hikes of 10-20 percent at the retail level in some markets, according to analysts. "Demand has been greater than supply for the last several months," said U.S. dairy analyst Jerry Dryer. "Prices are peaking."

MOA stands for Muslims of the Americas, which is linked to radical Pakistani Muslim cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. WASHINGTON, D.C., February 17, 2014 – President Barack Obama has elevated the right to have sex with a member of the same sex to the level of universal “fundamental freedoms” in a new presidential statement criticizing Uganda. But critics say his promotion of homosexuality in a continent that overwhelmingly opposes that behavior amounts to a form of liberal “cultural imperialism.” Obama wrote on Sunday that he opposed a proposed bill in Uganda that would criminalize same-sex “marriages” and impose life imprisonment for repeated homosexual acts, among other provisions, because “as a country and a people, the United States has consistently

There´s a long list of Cabinet secretaries and senior aides to President Obama who have failed the nation so resoundingly they should be shown the door. But Secretary John Kerry, who dumped his military decorations in 1971 and was dumped by voters as a presidential candidate in 2004, should definitely be the first one out. He argued that Americans support raising the minimum wage because it will lift "struggling" families out of poverty: "But they also know what it´s like to see a friend, a neighbor, where one spouse goes back to work, who would prefer maybe not to work. Last week, Boehner and McConnell faced down the Tea Party’s threat to cripple the government when they supported raising the nation’s debt ceiling. That move prevented GOP political suicide. If the nation’s credit rating, stocks and the recovery went down the sewer because of Republicans’ refusal to raise the debt ceiling, the GOP’s chances in the midterm elections would have been severely damaged. Conducted to test the media hype about a comeback by 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, the new poll found voters still uninspired by Romney, but also deeply dissatisfied with Obama who has so far failed to capitalize on his victory over 15 months ago. The poll asked those who voted for Obama´s reelection a simple question: “Do you regret voting for Barack Obama?” — Overall, 71 percent said yes, 26 percent no. — 80
