As more of the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as “Obamacare”) kicks in, they will either receive coverage or face financial penalties. [Snip] There are many questions that must be answered and milestones that must be passed before the Consumers’ Choice Health Plan begins enrolling its first members, the people who eventually will run this new South Carolina nonprofit insurer, but perhaps the biggest and simplest question is this: Will it work?

These people are getting money from the federal govt and I wouldn´t trust them as far as I could throw them.
Why aren´t people worried about businesses being able to stay open after this? Forget about creating new jobs who cares about that nonsense anymore?

1. You do not have to pay the penalty. It was ruled a tax. There is no taxing authority in Obamacare.

ObamaCare will work. Unfortunately, it will achieve the purpose for which it was designed. It will destroy the private market for health care.
The Dhimmi´s crave "single payer" health care. After the private market is destroyed and it becomes clear that ObamaCare cannot replace it, the Dhimm´s will present single payer as the only alternative.
The sheeple will accept it as better than nothing.

“Single payer” is, by definition, absence of free market. Please give me an example of where that has ever worked for anything.

I don´t trust people that aren´t "profit driven."
I can understand what "profit driven" means but I have no idea what "mission driven" is. What does that mean? Whose mission? Is it an "evolving" mission? Common people... who are these people? Do I qualify as "common" or do I have to be a certain race or sex or income level or political affiliation?
"Profit" is simple to understand and is blind to anything but money. It has no ulterior motives. It is crystal clear.
"Mission" on the other hand.. who the hell knows what that means?

Big omission here. The third repercussion is ´ or they will be fired´ as the business reduce their labor force. Business around the nation may be willing to take in less money but will pay out less in more taxes and penalties. If you make more than 250K a year, they as the ´nasty´ rich will be removing the target off their backs. Also business are going to a 29 hour work week.

So what will be remembered as the biggest political event of spring 2013? Naturally the death of Lady Thatcher must be the prime candidate. But there is another that has thus far consumed only a tiny proportion of the column inches that have rightly been expended on the passing of the Iron Lady yet may have more pro found and longerlasting consequences. I speak of the rise and rise of Ukip. The Eastleigh by-election, in which Ukip sensationally beat the Conservatives to second place, has of course registered in the national political consciousness.

For what it´s worth I think the BBC has no business censoring the music charts--even if it involves a song as insensitively timed and crassly-chosen as Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead! a) we should do everything we can to discourage this idea the BBC has of itself as a branch of the Nanny State. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Winters, the cherub-faced comedian whose breakneck improvisations and misfit characters inspired the likes of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, has died. He was 87. The Ohio native died Thursday evening at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes, said Joe Petro III, a longtime family friend.
