The whole culture of America has changed from when I was young. I grew up wanting to work hard to achieve a good life and save for the future. We have trained a couple of generations now to expect everything without having to work. The nonworking people all get FREE phones each month, and free utilities, as they have no income. Teens can get pregnant, and we pay for their medical services, pay for taxi´s to take them back and forth to the doctor; they receive many programs to take care of them, welfare, food stamps, WICK, and they do nothing to receive all of this, and are they grateful? No they just want more and more. The people who work and save are punished, because they get no interest on their money; the government prints so many dollars that the money you save becomes almost worthless. These people can buy anything they want with credit cards, they can buy a house they cannot afford with no money down. They can buy a new car with no money. Now 0bama is talking about "borrowing our 401K´s to fund his spending on these deadbeats. No this is a different world order now, and I am very afraid.

No. It has to completely crash and be put back together again from scratch. It´s like a cultural Katrina has hit us and Obama has declared us Chocolate Country now, with those in charge both encouraging and joining in the mass looting.

Those of us who were children of "The Greatest Generation" were handed an amazing (add all the glorious adjectives you want) country by our hardworking and thrifty parents. We squandered that good fortune, and now, no matter how hard we try, I´m afraid it´s too late to get that country back for our grandchildren.

I remember getting my back up when an LDotter called us the most Selfish Generation, but now I think he was correct. We grabbed the goodies for ourselves (Medicare et al) without thinking about our progeny. I feel ashamed.
