Obama’s challenge to the three amigos
Washington Times, by Wesley Pruden

Original Article

President Obama is still playing Sir Walter Raleigh, standing between himself and Susan E. Rice, the ambassador to the United Nations and the designated scapegoat in the Benghazi cover-up. “Susan Rice is extraordinary,” the president told his Cabinet as he convened its first session since he was re-elected. “Couldn’t be prouder of the job she’s done.” Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, no doubt grateful that she had not been elected to scapegoathood, led the round of applause for Mrs. Rice.

I really don´t like Obama and when push comes to shove he will fold like a cheap suit, contrary to what some think, all it takes is to keep pushing.

I´m getting the sneaking suspicion that zippy and susan rice are playing hanky panky. He is so protective of her and he doesn´t care about anyone else in the whole country.

Berkeley, Calif. — Delivering a rare speech for a Republican at this bastion of liberalism, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul on Wednesday was given multiple standing ovations by the left-wing audience after railing against government surveillance and warning the students: “Your right to privacy is under assault.” “I am here to tell you that if you own a cell phone, you’re under surveillance,” he told the crowd. Paul’s address at the Berkeley Forum on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley focused on the National Security Agency’s collection of telephone metadata and the debate over privacy. During his remarks, the potential 2016

A man was arrested after Las Vegas police said he pulled a gun on a group of entertainers from “Thunder from Down Under” at the Excalibur Tuesday night. The man, described as being between the ages of 25 and 30, went behind the stage and entered the “Thunder from Down Under” locker room about 9 p.m. According to police, he stole belongings from the group. Several performers from the show later confronted the suspect when they saw him with their property, police said. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and a struggle ensued. The gun was fired during the struggle, but police

Frustration with the search for missing flight MH370 boiled over into chaotic scenes as Chinese relatives were dragged away from journalists. They were attempting to speak to Chinese journalists outside the daily press conference in Kuala Lumpur. A BBC reporter was pushed away from the relatives, who were carrying banners criticising the handling of the case. Teams from 26 countries are trying to find flight MH370, which went missing on 8 March with 239 people on board. One of the relatives, a middle-aged woman, cried: "They give different messages every day! Where´s the flight now? Find our relatives! Find the aircraft!" The Malaysian government said

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The FBI is helping Malaysian authorities investigate deleted data on a flight simulator belonging to the pilot of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, while distraught relatives of the passengers unleashed their anger Wednesday, wailing in frustration at 12 days of uncertainty. The anguish of relatives of the 239 people on Flight 370 boiled over at a briefing near Kuala Lumpur´s airport. Two Chinese women who shouted at Malaysian authorities and unfurled a banner accusing officials of "hiding the truth" were removed from the room. In a heart-wrenching scene, one woman screamed in sorrow as she was dragged

The Associated Press has stepped up its attack on White House efforts to block coverage of events involving President Obama, warning that once access is cut, “we´ll never get it back.” In the latest media charge that the White House has reneged on promises to be “transparent,” two of AP´s White House staff told a convention in Denver this week that the president´s team often bars coverage of Obama events because they are “hypersensitive” about his Image. At the Newspaper Association of America´s mediaXchange convention in Denver, AP White House photographer Charles Dharapak said that instead of letting reporters and photographers in

The seasonally adjusted price index for uncooked ground beef jumped 3.8 percent from January to February, as the average price for a pound of 100-percent ground chuck rose from approximately $3.59 in January to a new record high of $3.73 in February, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The BLS’s seasonally adjusted price index measures the relative change in the price of product from a baseline of 100. From January to February, the price index for uncooked ground beef rose from 248.864 to 258.323, its highest level ever. The 258.323 price index also indicates that the

"Women are still the ones that are carrying the greatest burden when it comes to trying to balance family and work," President Obama said last week to a group of women who serve in the U.S. Congress. With this in mind, he is now planning a "White House Summit on Working Families" to take place this summer. Obama is no doubt preparing to cast stones at the private sector. He really ought to look at his own administration. Since Obama has been in office, according to data from the Office of Personnel Management, the percentage of women in the civilian federal work force

Have you had enough of the testing tyranny? Join the club. To be clear: I´m not against all standardized academic tests. My kids excel on tests. The problem is that there are too damned many of these top-down assessments, measuring who knows what, using our children as guinea pigs and cash cows. College-bound students in Orange County, Fla., for example, now take a total of 234 standardized diagnostic, benchmark and achievement tests from kindergarten through 12th grade. The Pew Research Center’s latest estimate of the number of illegal aliens residing in the United States—11.7 million as of March 2012--was less than the approximately 12.5 million people whom the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated were unemployed in the United States in the average month of 2012. However, it exceeds the approximately 11.46 million people whom BLS says were unemployed in the average month of 2013. Pew released its latest report on the “unauthorized immigrant” population on Sept. 23, 2013. Alex Sink, who was the model for the Democratic congressional candidate of 2014, lost what was supposed to be a slam-dunk victory Tuesday in Florida. She got the slam, but not the dunk, and departs the arena leaving a valuable lesson for her party. The Democrats spent lavishly in the district, which includes St. Petersburg and hugs the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, confident that voters who twice gave majorities to President Obama would respond eagerly to a candidate much like him. There was plenty of money to spread the message. She spent $5.4 million on the race, nearly $1 million

Jimmy Carter has been very active in the decades since his presidency, and his successors have occasionally called for his advice. Except, it turns out, the current occupant of the office. A clip from Carter’s upcoming Meet the Press interview reveals that President Obama is the first president since Carter left office not to solicit the Southern Democrat’s advice. Carter explained, “President Clinton did and President George W. Bush and H.W. Bush and even Ronald Reagan used to call on us to go into sensitive areas.” They all asked Carter to deal with “unsavory characters,” but Obama hasn’t reached out to

Is Barack Obama simply too busy to be Chief Executive of the United States? Apparently. One of the primary functions of the president is to keep the nation safe, to preserve it from its enemies. To do that effectively, one would actually have to maintain something of a consistent level of attention to the moving pieces that directly influence how future events will unfold. None other than the truly sycophantic thinks for a second that President Obama cares a whit for anything that does not involve fundamentally altering the social composition of this country. Or golf. According to the Miami-Herald, Bush made his remarks in front of business leaders in Florida. “People who come here legally and illegally are the risk takers,” Bush reportedly said. “If you’re living in a rural area of Guatemala and you come, you’re a bigger risk taker than those who stay,” he added. Of course, the first action of those who come to the country illegally is breaking the law. Bush also said he

Black students are more likely to be suspended from U.S. public schools — even as tiny preschoolers. The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department´s civil rights arm. The suspensions — and disparities — begin at the earliest grades. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said. Six percent of the nation´s districts with preschools reported suspending at
