| On December 3, the U.S. Supreme Court will consider who is best suited to set national environmental policy – the experienced scientists and regulators at the Environmental Protection Agency or activist trial lawyers. (Snip) Under the Ninth Circuit ruling, a permit could be demanded for every drain and ditch that directs water from a logging road to a fish-bearing stream. The U.S. Forest Service estimates that getting all its roads fully certified could take as much as a decade.

Late Friday, the FBI posted this statement on its 2011 interview of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the suspected Boston bomber who was killed in a police shootout. According to an official familiar with the issue, the Russian government had reached out to U.S. counterterrorism officials in 2011 and expressed concern that Tsarnaev might be planning to travel to their country to engage in possible terrorist activities. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The owner of an auto body shop near the home of the Boston bombing suspects said the younger brother appeared in his store on Tuesday, nervous and demanding his car immediately. Two weeks ago, said 44-year-old Gilberto Junior, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had brought in a white Mercedes 1967 station wagon to have the damaged rear bumper repaired. He said it belonged to his girlfriend. That was not unusual: Tsarnaev often brought in cars for wealthy friends from Boston University and MIT, Junior said, and always paid in cash.

The father of a suspected Boston Marathon bomber started to cry when ABC News told him that his son had been captured alive. "Thank God," Anzor Tsarnaev said, speaking in Russian, thanking ABC News for relaying word that his son, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was in custody and alive. Asked what he wanted to tell his son, Anzor Tsarnaev said, "Tell police everything. Everything. Just be honest." Tsarnaev spoke to ABC News on more than one occasion today from his home in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, Russia, as Boston police carried out an intense dragnet for his son.

So once again, no good deed goes unpunished. Uncle Sam lets another bunch of leeching future terrorists into the country who have absolutely no business being here, gives them “asylum,” making them immediately eligible for welfare, and this is the thanks we get? They turn into mass murderers. We bring in thousands of Muslims from a primitive society that has been battling Christians for centuries, and put them into a peaceful Christian society — what could possible go wrong? This is what I was thinking about yesterday, with much of the city under what amounted to martial law.

Rescuers have ended their search for survivors following the devastating fertilizer explosion in West this week that killed at least 14 people and injured 200. Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced Friday afternoon that the search and rescue operation has ended now that responders have found 14 bodies. Although information is still too sketchy to draw any comprehensive conclusions (other than that the Boston killings are not, as recently suggested, fall out from sequestration, the NRA, lack of gun control, climate change, right-wing tea-party zealots, etc.), there emerges a familiar profile to the suspects that we have seen before. When David Sirota hoped the person or people responsible for bombing the Boston Marathon would be a “white American”, I asked, “Can’t a terrorist be both white & Muslim?” Yes, Mr. Sirota, there are white, Muslim terrorists. Granted, I was thinking more along the lines of a convert to Islam like John Walker Lindh. Nevertheless, Chechens are both Caucasian and Muslim. The Tsarnaev brothers were ethnic Chechens whose family fled the breakaway republic in the remote Caucasus mountains where insurgents fought two bloody wars with Russia at the cost of more than 100,000 lives. Even after the worst of the fighting was over, Chechnya became a training ground for terrorists who have carried out attacks that have killed hundreds of civilians. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the FBI’s “Suspect Number 2” in Monday’s bombing, followed two Internet sites that advocated independence for Chechnya, whose heavily Muslim population of more than 1 million suffered badly during Soviet rule.

Watertown, Mass.– A number of gun shots were fired near Franklin Street in Watertown Friday night and it was believed that suspect number 2 in the Boston Marathon bombings had been shot. FOX 25's Bob Ward reported that as many 30 shots were fired in the neighborhood. Ward reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man known as suspect 2, was shot by police. It was not immediately known if Tsarnaev was killed. A bomb squad could be seen responding to the scene. A massive police presence was also in the area. We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate. That ideology motivates some Muslims to kill innocent people.But you´re allowed to be a radical Muslim in America.
