Residents Alerted to Obamas´
Hawaiian Holiday Plans

KAILUA, OAHU - Residents living near the beachfront homes where President Barack Obama and First Family vacation with their friends every year since 2008 were alerted on Monday to some specifics of the Obamas´ holiday vacation plans. The report delivered to residents living along the ocean and canal that surrounds the multi-million dollar homes at Kailuana Place where the President stays, informed them of restrictions that will be implemented for 20 days beginning December 17 and running through January 6.

Comments:
Nice 20 day, $4 million vacation, before coming home for the inauguration and festivities.

Read the comments after the article. Serious outrage and anger. And trying to say that this vacation cost is ´in line´ with previous presidents is total meadow muffins. The 2 Bush presidents either went to Camp David or their own homes. They did not spend nearly $4mill on a vacation. Of all the stuff they have pulled this is the most insensitive and tone deaf. And round 2 hasn´t even started yet.

And he´ll have to hang around Washington for 20 minutes longer because of the fiscal cliff, so Mooch will jet off in her own Taxpayer aircraft. He´ll be close behind...

If stupid Biden would not be #2, one could almost wish the plane would fall out of the sky.

However, since Conservatives would be blamed by the LSM lets hope he gets to work on his tan.

Lastly, why do we even care where he goes?

fta: Travel time for Air Force One direct from Washington D.C. to Hawaii is about 9 hours or as high as $1,635,813 each way for a total of $3,271,622 for the round trip to Hawaii and back.
~~

And that is assuming Michelle doesn´t kick off early and take a different plane there or that the dog won´t need his own plane. Hell, they may all need separate planes. Who knows with the Obama´s. It´s not there money anyway and we the serfs can just "eat cake."

These people make me sick!!

One can only hope he visits with his Choom gang and over-chooms. Then give Biden a psychiatric test and commit him. What a Christmas present that would be.

I´m glad this was posted, OP--thank you. But please forgive me for not reading about the unmitigated pillocks. I´m still thinking of the Mooch and the speech she made yesterday.

She said:

I do hope that your holiday season is truly special and you really use this time to reflect and come together and so many of us in this country will use your lives as inspiration as we sit around our trees and our tables and we think about all that we have and we think about what all of you are sacrificing to make sure that we live in freedom and harmony. We are truly grateful to all of you and we thank you.

It´s all sickeningly awful but that emphasized part has been sticking in my craw since it was posted at

http://lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=713679

Yes, there´ll be a good number of people who are thankful and appreciative of our military and their families--but they don´t need Moochelle Antoinette´s directive to think about them at Christmas. Living near Charleston AFB and Navy facilities, I think of their sacrifices every time I see a uniform or see a brave man with scars from shrapnel in his back at the therapy pool. Most of us out here will have far different thoughts in our heads as we "sit around our trees and our tables," slowly chewing our meager meals this Christmas and contemplating the chasms to negotiate before we fall off that financial cliff and think about losing a hell of a lot of what we have. (It´s Christmas, Michelle.

And I hope your Christmas is bloody miserable.

I can understand #12´s not wanting to read about The Wons, but this is a detailed breakdown of most of the bill we´ll get for this 20 day Hawaiian idyll. Not including Mooch´s separate aircraft (she always ends up flying out early, etc., etc., etc.) and other "classified" items.

As I recall Bo flies in his own plane, too, and it used to be with BHOL Reggie Love.

The Justice Department is taking the first steps toward carrying out President Obama’s executive actions on gun control. Attorney General Eric Holder on Friday released three proposals to strengthen the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which was one of the 23 actions ordered by Obama last week to tackle gun violence. The proposed regulations would give local law-enforcement agencies access to the gun-sale database that is maintained by the FBI. The rules would also preserve records of denied weapons sales indefinitely. The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act already requires federal background checks for gun purchases, but not every firearm

It’s a popular talking point with conservatives that the purpose of the Second Amendment is to act as a check on a tyrannical government, our own government. According to liberal radio and TV host Thom Hartman, though, the original purpose of the amendment was to act as a check on rebellious slaves, which might just put a kink in Gun Appreciation Day founder Larry Ward‘s theory about Martin Luther King. On Hartmann’s The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann, Hartmann laid it out. “Gun-crazy America is arming up,” he said. ”While Vice President Biden and his gun task force think of

Faced with increasingly stringent benchmarks—the government´s new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards require a passenger vehicle fleet that averages 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025—carmakers are taking another approach to achieving better fuel mileage: shaving weight off vehicles by experimenting with lighter materials. Automobiles have long been made from steel—a very strong, but heavy material. Now manufacturers are experimenting with new materials—ranging from aluminum to carbon fiber composites to metal alloys—to help companies reach the ambitious fuel efficiency standards.

Williams, a syndicated columnist and the John M. Stockman warned that such executive orders would be “unconstitutional” and “infringe on our constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms.” “I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment,” Stockman said in a statement.

Many of the responses I’ve gotten to my article on the Republican plan to use the debt ceiling as leverage to force Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to pass a budget have been along these lines: If it is against the law for Congress not to pass a budget (and it is), and if Harry Reid is violating that law (and he is), then why can’t something be done about it? Why can’t Reid be charged with something? Or perhaps a lawsuit be brought? The answer is the law requiring Congress to pass an annual budget, the Congressional Budget Act

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
