Democrats Are After Your 401(k)

RUSH: I´m just saying that if the analysts are right and Obama´s worried about a legacy, and he does not want a recession in the second term, he does not want renewed unemployment, then stop talking to him. Let him own the disaster that is going over the cliff and find out if that´s indeed what he wants. Now, if you don´t like that, I have some other alternatives. If you would rather see the Republicans stay at the negotiating table, if you´d rather see the Republicans hang in there,

Comments:
If 0bama and the Democrats had their way they would confiscate everything you own That vile Marxist Mark Lamont Hill said as much on O´Reilly last night. Here´s the link to the Investor´s article Rush mentions: http://tinyurl.com/cnyap9d

As I recall the fine print in 401k terms says it isn´t your money until they give it to you.

There is only a contract about how you may obtain it from the plan administrator.

I won´t go any further along that path. It is law for the specialists, I may be dead wrong. And I haven´t had a 401k for many years.

But more or less all money, except what is in your pocket is that way. Bank accounts, IRAs, etc.

Of course the Democrats want it. You almost certainly have too much.

I just cut my 401K back to the bare minimum, to the point to cover the company match. The rest, I am going invest into something tangible, something easy to conceal, something easy to travel with. I am going to follow this path for at least a year until I figure out what the markets & economy are going to do.

I´m not buying a new car. I´m not investing in upgrades to my house; just covering mx. I´m not buying much at all. I´m taking a wait and see attitude. Expect much of the rest of the country to do the same.

Rather than make my savings too attractive to the gov´t, I redid my kitchen with all energy star appliances, replaced both 5 ton AC units with the most efficient out there, replaced the washer and dryer with energy star models, had the house painted and bought a new car and paid cash for it.
My electric bill has been cut in half. (which will help when rates skyrocket).
I also gifted my son the legal amount.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), a leading member of the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” pushing immigration reform, has taken to using the term "undocumented" to describe illegal aliens. The term, which is not always accurate, is common on the left and frequently mocked on the right. During his charm offensive this weekend, in which he appeared on a record seven Sunday news programs to push his forthcoming immigration plan, Rubio called illegal aliens “undocumented” on a number of occasions (emphasis added, below).

The Company You Keep, the all-star drama from director Robert Redford, expands its theatrical run this weekend to include several new cities including Denver. Early reviews say the movie paints its main characters, former Weather Underground-style radicals forced to own up to their violent deeds, in a flattering light. The film´s producers couldn´t anticipate the theatrical expansion would come just days after a pair of domestic bombings in Boston left three dead and scores grievously wounded. It sets goals of persistent surveillance in high-risk areas along the Southern border — sectors where more than 30,000 individuals are apprehended trying to enter the country illegally per year — and a 90-percent effectiveness rate for apprehensions in high-risk sectors.

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.
