I have been working to make ends meet since I left my father´s home in 1963. I feel a sense of satisfaction when looking back over accomplishments brought to me by my work.

I caught a Movie recently made in the late 60´s starring James Earl Jones. Hollywood could never make this movie now. Jones was a reasonably succesful businessman, not rich or even well off but solvent. He fell in love with a women whose husband had left her, broke and on the dole.

She could not risk marrying Jones due to the loss of faith in her first husband. She could not even admit she was in a relationship. In one scene Jones gave her a toaster and a rug. When the social worker paid an unannounced visit her son hid the toaster but forgot to hide the rug. The cost of the rug was held from her next check.

It appeared that the social workers only job was to trap her in a relationship so her benefits could be taken away. The whole story was the completely dehumanizing effect of government dependance. She was a proud women who was completely owned by the social worker. One of the saddest and prophetic films I´ve seen.

She was forced to make decisions against her family and work ethic to protect her child, and in doing so destroyed her hope of attaining happiness. It was a hard and unblinking look at the welfare state destroying the black family.

Not only does our hypothetical single mother lose income by making more than 29K, she loses even more by marrying the father, or even admitting who he is. The most evil and vile genius could not contrive a better method of destroying a civilisation than this.

Obama built his class warfare argument on the premise of Fairness... OK! GOPers should use the same argument to have ALL gov´t jobs be indexed to private sector jobs!

There´s a huge savings!
