| The only path towards a Palestinian state is through direct negotiations, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emphasized on Wednesday, according to AFP. "I have said many times that the path to a two-state solution that fulfills the aspirations of the Palestinian people is through Jerusalem and Ramallah, not New York," Clinton told reporters, reiterating U.S. opposition to the Palestinian Authority’s bid to upgrade its UN status. "We have made very clear to the Palestinian leadership that we oppose Palestinian efforts to upgrade their status at the UN outside of the framework" of direct negotiations,

Comments: So, Susan Rice speaks for the State Department about Benghazi murder of Ambassador Stevens and the three men and Herself returns the favor at the UN about PA "statehood." Confusing, but after all, they all work for Valerie Jarret [0bama].

The US should cease all funding of these terrorists. Let them support themselves, or starve trying. At least if they are busy with survival they may have less time on their hands to commit terrorist acts against Israel.

And gun control doesn´t run through NY, either, Hill, in spite of your readiness to sign onto the proposed UN treaty which would seek to violate our Constitution.

The 2016 election has started already.Even if lame duck Obama and Dingy Harry complete their fiscal cliff power play, the country is still on a death spiral. When Hillary Clinton starts looking good, you know you´re in trouble.

I wonder if America pays Iran for the rockets they send to Gaza or do we just give the money directly to the Palestinians so they can buy them.

More than a dozen Maryland state correctional officers were accused Tuesday of helping a powerful prison gang run a drug-trafficking and money-laundering operation from behind bars. Thirteen female prison guards were charged by the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office in an indictment unsealed Tuesday in federal court. They allegedly smuggled into the prison cell phones, prescription pills and other contraband uncovered during a year-long corruption investigation of state detention facilities. “The inmates literally took over ‘the asylum,’ and the detention centers became safe havens for BGF,”

Diagnostic errors, not surgical misadventures, obstetrical mistakes or improperly delivered medications, are the main source of successful malpractice claims. (Snip) Incorrect, missed or delayed diagnoses accounted for 29 percent of successful malpractice claims. They accounted for 35 percent of the total amount of money paid out and caused 39 percent of malpractice-related deaths. “Diagnostic errors are the most common, the most costly and the most deadly of all medical errors,” said David E. Newman-Toker, a neurologist at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Brussels - When President Obama welcomes the leader of Qatar to the White House on Tuesday, he will doubtless thank the Qataris for hosting a major U.S. air base in the Persian Gulf, and for their help on a wide range of strategic issues from Libya to Afghanistan. But he is also likely to press Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani to ensure that none of the weapons Qatar is sending to Syrian rebels end up with the Jabhat al-Nusra, which the administration has linked to al-Qaeda, and other Islamic extremist groups fighting against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Eric Justin Toth, the former D.C. elementary school teacher and accused child pornographer who replaced Osama bin Laden on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list, has been found in Nicaragua, according to people familiar with the case. Toth had been on the run for almost five years. He fled after officials at Washington National Cathedral’s exclusive Beauvoir elementary school found explicit photos of a student on a camera assigned to him, authorities said. Toth, 31, was taken into custody Saturday night in Nicaragua, but as of Monday afternoon he had not been extradited to the United States,

Flu comes in many forms. In China right now they´re battling human infections of H7N9, in 2009 it was H1N1 and in 2004-5 it was H5N1. Why all the code names, and what do they mean? Viruses, including influenza viruses, are machines. Anyone who doubts this hasn´t seen a bacteriophage virus up close. Influenza viruses look more like the Death Star: roughly spherical and covered with spikes. Inside is just enough genetic material and protein to ensure the virus can take over host cells and replicate itself, but it´s actually the spikes on the outside that inspire the code names.

Washington - President Obama believes the civilian justice system can handle cases of domestic terrorism and supports the decision to try the Boston Marathon bombing suspect in federal court, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Monday. “The effective use of the criminal justice system has resulted in the interrogation, conviction and detention of both U.S. citizens and noncitizens for acts of terrorism committed inside the United States and around the world,” Carney said. The city’s latest health crusade — backed by City Council Speaker Christine Quinn — would raise the smoking age from 18 to 21. A bill introduced in the council Monday by Quinn and Health Commissioner Thomas Farley would make New York the first major city in the country to raise the minimum age to buy tobacco to 21. (Snip) The bill is a sign that Quinn, a leading mayoral contender, would carry on Mayor Bloomberg’s trademark public health agenda if elected. Washington - Federal officials are delaying a policy that would allow airline passengers to carry small knives as well as bats and other sports equipment. The Transportation Security Administration said Monday that the policy change, which was to have gone into effect on Thursday, has been delayed to accommodate feedback from an advisory committee of aviation industry, consumer and law enforcement officials. A tip from a Toronto imam sparked an investigation that culminated in the arrests of two men who allegedly plotted to derail a Via passenger train. The imam alerted authorities more than a year ago about a person he regarded as an extremist who was corrupting youth in his community. That single tip led to what the RCMP on Monday called the first-ever Canadian bust of an alleged al-Qaeda terrorist plot. The RCMP believes that two men, Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, and Raed Jaser, 35, were planning to derail a Via passenger train on the Canadian leg of its Toronto-New York route.

Authorities in Massachusetts are investigating whether one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects is connected to a triple murder in the city of Waltham that occurred in September 2011, according to prosecutors. MaryBeth Long, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County district attorney’s office, told The Washington Post that the homicide case “remains an active and ongoing investigation. We continue to follow all leads and will review any new information that may come to light in that case as a result of the investigation into the alleged bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.”

Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon on Monday implicitly confirmed that Israel was behind a January strike on a weapons convoy in Syria, saying the Jewish state had acted to stop advanced weaponry reaching Hizbullah terrorists. Speaking at a news conference with US Defiance Secretary Chuck Hagel, Yaalon said Israel would not allow "sophisticated weapons" to fall into the hands of "Hizbullah or other rogue elements." "When they crossed this red line, we acted," he said, in what was widely understood to refer to the air strike which a US official told AFP had targeted surface-to-air missiles that Israel

In Obama´s Audacity of Hope, he stated, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in any ugly direction." He also asserted in Bob Woodward´s Obama´s Wars, "We can absorb [another] terrorist attack." These are two straightforward statements that raise the question of whether a man who has been seemingly obsessed with reaching out to "the Muslim world" since taking office is capable of fulfilling his duty as commander-in-chief to keep America safe and secure.

In debate classes or law school, it is often referred to as the ‘arguing against the non-existing opponent’ tactic. The way it works is you imply your opponent is making an outlandish, unsavory claim (though he isn’t), hoping others will run with it or, at worst, that your opponent won’t sufficiently correct it and the claim sticks. To illustrate, imagine Sally is arguing in favor of marijuana’s legalization against Tom. In the middle of the debate, Tom suddenly shrieks: “Well, Sally, you can talk about legalizing marijuana all you want but I just don’t believe

THE graying man flashing fury in the Rose Garden on behalf of the Newtown families, the grieving man wiping away tears after speaking at the Boston memorial service, is not the same man who glided into office four years ago. President Obama has watched the blood-dimmed tide drowning the ceremony of innocence, as Yeats wrote, and he has learned how to emotionally connect with Americans in searing moments, as he did from the White House late Friday night after the second bombing suspect was apprehended in Boston.

George W. Bush will return to the spotlight this week for the dedication of his presidential library, an event likely to trigger fresh public debate about his eight fateful years in office. But he reemerges with a better public image than when he left Washington more than four years ago. Since then, Bush has absented himself from both policy disputes and political battles. A new Washington Post-ABC News poll suggests that the passage of time and Bush’s relative invisibility have been beneficial to a chief executive who left office surrounded by controversy.

President Obama´s sequester scare strategy has been a political flop, but his government keeps trying. The latest gambit is to force airline flight delays until enough travellers stuck on tarmacs browbeat enough Republicans to raise taxes again. This week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began furloughing each of its air-traffic controllers for one day out of every 10 to achieve roughly $600 million in savings this fiscal year. The White House dubiously claims that the furloughs are required by the sequester spending cuts enacted in 2011.

The two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were not licensed to have the firearms they used in several shootouts with police on Friday, Reuters reported Sunday night. The news that the suspects were not authorized to own firearms will likely add fuel to calls for tougher gun laws – an issue that was put on the back-burner last week after the Senate blocked the central elements of a gun-control package backed by President Obama. Because Massachusetts state law bars handgun ownership for those younger than 21, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, age 26, was the only brother who could have

The most glaring fact about our president is that he is an empty suit. The people around him are also empty suits. They believe in nothing, really, but unearned luxury, unmerited adulation, and unaccountable power. Those whom we have come to call "leftists" are in fact nothing but nihilists, and we flatter them when we presume that they value anything beyond their vanities, their avarice, and their selfishness. When tragedy strikes, like in the Boston bombing, these empty suits can look and

Apparently the latest craze in NYC is to let your babies’ freak flags fly by letting them go commando: When Jada Shapiro decided to raise her daughter from birth without diapers, for the most part, not everyone was amused. Ms. Shapiro scattered little bowls around the house to catch her daughter’s offerings, and her sister insisted that she use a big, dark marker to mark the bowls so that they could never find their way back to the kitchen. But “elimination communication,” as the diaper-free method of child-rearing is called,
